(Dawn's POV)

Our teacher was talking about the importance of knowing your enemy, though no one was really listening. I thought about how Leaf reacted when she heard Misty would live with us. She seemed nice, so why would Leaf be that upset about her living with us? Was it something she did during their class?

May sat next to me she also didn't seem to have interest in what our teacher had to say. She was busy drawing in a sketchbook I had never seen before.

"Pssst, May."I whispered. May looked up covering the drawing she was making. "How long 'till class ends?" May looked at the clock.

"Still half an hour."she whispered back. I groaned, a little too loud.

"Am I boring you miss Berlitz."the teacher said, causing the whole class to look at me. I turned red.

"I-I... I was just wondering if we couldn't just talk about... top coordinators."I said stuttering. The teacher looked at me like I was a Pikachu trying to fight a legendary pokémon (he was the legendary pokémon). I bit my lip, but nodded. "Yeah, that's what I was thinking."

"Go to the principal's office now!"the teacher said.

( time skip )

"Well done Dawn!"May said. "Your second class today and you have been send to the pincipal's office."

I turned red. "Yes, and for what? Groaning?"I yelled. "Don't you think he was a little overreacting."

"True but that teacher always sends you to the principal's office for the most little things."May said. She held her sketchbook close to her while walking.

"Let's talk about something else."I tried desperately. "What about that sketchbook of yours? A present?"

"Brendan gave it to me."May said blushing. I smirked. May saw it and immediately screamed: "It's not like that!"

"Sure..." May glared at me before starting about the new food store that had opened. Typical May.

( time skip )

I was done for today, finally! May was sitting on my bed making homework while listining to a song on the radio. I was done with my homework so took May's books and said: "I'm bored! You're gonna quit doing homework and start talking."

"About what?"May said somewhat annoyed.

I smirked at her. "What do you think about playing truth or dare?"

"Fine. I've got nothing to hide anyways."

"Don't be too sure about that."I said grinning like a complete idiot. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare."May said.

"I dare you to eat one of my cookies."I said. I made them yesterday and needed someone to taste them for me. May took the cookie and got starry eyes.

"So good."she said smiling like an idiot. I chuckled. Combine May with food, what do you get? A lovesick May.

"Truth."I said before May could even ask.

This time May smirked. "So Dawn... Is it true that you've got a crush on Kenny?" I should've seen that one coming.

"Of course not!"I said blushing furiously. 

May gave me a look which I read as: 'You sure 'bout that?' 

I scoffed. 'Of course I'm sure.'

'Your cheeks tell something else.'

'Go die.' 

After our unspoken conversation I gave May her books back. She smiled.

"Thank you."

"One last question."I said. I wasn't gonna let May win this round. May looked up. "Who did you draw?"

May became a tomato. Her cheeks were dark red and her eyes widened. "No one."she tried to say, though her voice was way to high to actually hear it. I smirked.

"The truth, May." May glared at me, still blushing. She stood up took her books and walked to the door.

"I'm making my homework in my own room."she said and with that she closed the door. I chuckled 1-0 for me.

( time skip )

"Wake up!"Leaf screamed. I woke up with the urge to go to Leaf and tell her she was as annoying as Gary. I knew how she would react on that which always made me laugh. Instead I put my books in my bag and brushed my hair for sometime that seemed like at least an hour. After I was done I ran out of my room.

"How long?"I asked Leaf.

She checked her watch. "Fifty minutes. That's a record." May came out of her room still a little sleepy.

"Are you timing how long she takes to get ready?"Misty asked not understanding.

"Well, she mostly takes at least an hour to get ready. So we started making it a contest. May's second, I'm first and... Dawn's last."Leaf explained. "Though May seems to be last today."

"And I broke her record, right?"

"Nope. Still one minute later."Leaf teased.

"What?!"I yelled. "Yesterday her record was fifty-nine!"

"Forty-nine."May said proud.

Misty chuckled. "Are we gonna stay here arguing or are we gonna get some breakfast?"

"Breakfast."May said immediately and she ran to the door.

The halls were still empty.

"Why so early?"Misty asked.

"Because if we aren't early the halls are crowded and you don't know where to stand."I explained. "Believe me, I've got experience."

When we finally got to the canteen there already were a couple groups of students and May. I groaned when May waved.

"Why can't she just stop the waving?"I said. I took some breakfast and sat next to May. Leaf was studying while eating and Misty seemed to be very interested in her bacon.

"So..."I said trying to make a conversation. "Leaf what test do you have?"

"None, yet."she said without turning her head away from her book.

"Then what are you reading?"May asked with a full mouth. I looked disgusted at her.

"Harry Potter."Leaf answered. And with that the conversation ended. 

Than I saw Gary walking towards Leaf. He tapped on her shoulder. She didn't move a muscle. Gary grinned and kissed her on the cheek. Leaf turned red and finally looked at Gary giving him a slap that he would remember. Forever.

"Ouch! That hurt Leafy!"Gary said smirking.

"Don't ever try and do that again. And don't call me Leafy."she said cold. Gary looked at Leaf with amusement. Misty just looked a little confused and May and I... well we were looking like crazy fan girls seeing our ship come true. Which was exactly what had happened just a minute ago.

"Awww! Gary you're finally telling her the truth!"May said happy.

"Ship! Ship! Ship! Ship ITTTTTTTTTT!!!!"I screamed, causing some people to look our way. A couple of cheerleaders already looked our way with anger in their eyes. One of them walked up to us.

"I'm sorry, you're Leaf right?"she said in the most annoying way possible. Leaf nodded still red, though it was uncertain if that red was anger or embarrassment. "I just would like to let you know that Gary isn't an option. For you."

"I would very much like to decide for myself."Gary said to the cheerleader. His usually playful eyes were now extremely serious. Which was a funny look for Gary and I almost laughed.

"Oh don't worry..."Leaf said. "I'm definitely no competition. I don't like Gary and I never will."

"You better say the truth."the cheerleader said. "I know how to find you."

"And I know how to choose, thank you very much."Gary added to the conversation. The cheerleader gave Gary a smile and walked away. I rolled my eyes.

"Bitch."I said and I continued eating my bacon with eggs. Yum!
