Amelie Salazar was ready for love, following her broken off engagement when she found out her fiancé had been selected for Netflix's dating show Perfect Match. She threw herself into her work, making sure she took the most advantage of her neurosurgery residency. It wasn't until her best friend's encouraged her to apply to a reality dating show. So Amelie decided to apply for Love Island USA for the hell of it.

She didn't imagine in a million years that she would be selected for the show, but by all means of God she was. Amelie walked into her Love Island experience and in her introduction interview, compared herself to a venomous snake. Only for the relationship she finds in the Villa to be with a man who relocates and rescues snakes.
