It had been an hour since Nailea had posted her last tweet. By the next when she opened her account the tweet was retweeted 44,000 times which was an insane amount since it was only her saying how people online were insane for the reaction of their break up.
Nailea saw the shocking number of retweets on her tweet. She couldn't believe the reaction to their breakup. People were truly going insane online. The online world was ablaze with comments, opinions, and theories about what might have happened between her and Nicholas. The constant buzzing of notifications on her phone was almost overwhelming.
"If I get one more notification, I'm gonna throw my phone away." Nailea huffs.
Nailea sat on her couch, surrounded by a sea of thrown-aside pillows, a testament to her growing agitation.
Each chime from her phone felt like a needle pricking her sanity. Her patience was wearing thin.
And there was a notification of something retweeting her. She tossed her phone onto the coffee table, the sound of it hitting the surface making a small thud.
For a moment, she just sat there in silence, trying to block out the virtual noise.
But the silence was short-lived. Her phone began buzzing again. Nailea groaned, her patience already frayed.
Reluctantly, she leaned forward and picked up her phone. With a resigned sigh, she began scrolling through the notifications one by one.
As she scrolled onto a photo of her and Nicholas, her heart ached. Seeing a picture of her and Nicholas, smiling together during happier times, was like a punch to the gut. Memories of their laughter, their inside jokes, and their stolen kisses flooded her mind. The pain returned, sharper than before.
She couldn't help but linger on the image. The raw emotions threatened to overwhelm her, but she fought them back, forcing herself to look away and finally do something with her miserable life.
Nailea tossed her phone onto the cushions next to her and stood up. Staring at the four walls of her apartment wasn't going to make her feel better.
She needed fresh air, a change of scenery, something to distract her from the constant loop of thoughts about Nicholas.

With Nailea having to balance her busy schedule, she found herself not having any time for music. She had been so focused on her new show that she started drifting away from her passion.
She used to spend hours strumming her guitar and scribbling lyrics in her notebook. But now, her guitar stood untouched in the corner of her apartment, collecting dust.
Nailea knew she missed the creative outlet that music provided. The soothing rhythm of playing the guitar always helped her clear her mind, especially when life got hectic.
The brunette picked up the guitar and began to slowly strum it. Finding a rhythm that would hopefully sparking a song.
"I swear to God, I haven't thought of you in ages."
The first lyrics that left her mouth. She paused, letting the world go silent for a moment.
"I've lived a lot, I've loved and lost, I've let the rain in."
She breathed in, and closed her eyes. Beginning to let the lyrics slip through her lips.
"I'm pretty sure, I mean I heard, you never faced it / I understand, I changed your plans, I had to, baby."
The sound of the city outside filled the air while the guitar strings were played.
"And all I did was right by me, I heard that almost killed you / Well, I knew it, I know you, I called it /And I think that you earnestly have waited on apologies / But I can't pretend that I'm sorry, when I'm not sorry."
She almost whispered the last lyric โ it having the most important message in it. Nailea cleared her throat before singing again.
"So aren't you sad about the fact that you can't write me? / I cheered the loudest for you when you won your trophies / I'm on the ground, how's the weather on your planet? / An empty house, the noise is loud, it's how you stand it."
Nailea's voice became raspy again. As she became so focused on letting her emotions run, she forgot the world.
"And don't you feel alone at night or sorta kinda daily? / Well, I knew it, I know you, I called it / And it makes me wanna cry sometimes / But don't you know the deal now? / Well, I just can't pretend that I'm sorry, when I'm not sorry."
As she sang, this part was the emotion she put into the whole song.
"And we don't even know each other now / And I'd blow all my plans if you'd meet me out / We could talk, we could get it, we could both calm down / Down."
She had barely even put any thought into this random thought and yet all the lyrics came to her so effortlessly, which sort of amazed her.
"It all changed for me and I told you / You had the wrong idea about me /And all I ever did was consider you / Until all I could do was consider me / I was your entertainment from a dark place / You don't know how to step outside yourself down, down / It's not my fault you can't sit with the hard thing down, down / You really thought you would get what you wanted."
The last lyrics lingered from her lips, "You really thought you would get what you wanted."
