Fallout Australia S2 E04 Elliott, Jones Michael 2066 February
In Anchorage, south of Flattop, Michael was digging through a toolbox with a bobby pin. The lock dislodged a pin as the mechanism popped open. He saw duct tape and a few bottle caps. It was February 29th, a few weeks after the Brotherhood in Steel pushed back the dragons. Stealth suits are hard to pin. Michael was getting past the boiler vessel when a voice echoed across the comms.
"We have secured Alpha Site, but the general of the invading armies was pushing his men to get out in front of the firing line. 'No mercy,' he shouted. But his men were getting chopped. They weren't expecting the TB51s to be out so soon."
They had no armour, throwing in thousands of men to match the might of the steel armour. Many fell within the first wave. But as soon as the snow stopped, Michael was facing the hills. Several cannons lay waste to any air support. "We have to get to the mountain on the other side of this oil field."
But the words rang in his ears when the commander who called in the squad was speaking to several of the winterized 45s with titanium plating. He was behind the tent, watching them order several men without armour, who ran into the field to be blown to shreds within a few feet.
At first, Michael thought the huge cannons needed to be destroyed. As soon as he could, he walked into camp. One of the men he saved from the detonating 45s was pointing at the 51 with an insignia of The Brotherhood before it was modified. He only knew this from his experience outside this reality.
"That's the guy who saved me, sir. You need to get him on our team!" he said. Major Thomas was holding his clipboard next to the equipment tent when Michael saw him out of the corner of his eye and called out to him.
"Soldier, what's your post?" Michael just pointed to the cannon fire way in the distance.
"Great, then you will want some supplies."
He handed Michael a Gauss rifle and a 10mm pistol with some fragmentation grenades.
One of the lieutenants named Elliot and a scout named Jones both approached from the left. "Sir, we would like to be on detail for this assault." Major Thomas looked them up and down. "Do you need help, 51?" There was silence before Michael answered, knowing that was the man he was with in the future.
"Yes, they're welcome." He stepped away, and Jones and the other guy, Elliot, both tagged behind Michael, who ran towards an explosion. Elliot was looking at Jones, waiting for him to go. Then, they ran off behind the TB51 without any exo.
Michael was timing the shots, as Anchorage was a huge place. The army was sending in waves of backup when Michael slid left. Then, he aimed his Gauss rifle at the stealth-suited chameleon sniper.
The shot was direct, exploding in a pile of gore. Then Elliot and Jones advanced, meeting Michael at the Vertibird that was taking them to the inside of the mountain on the other side of Anchorage Flattop.
But there was no way to tell. The storm was stronger than the pilot anticipated. "You have to jump out now. We will be shot down if I pull any closer!" Michael was looking back at the exit. Doors wide open, Elliot and Jones both leapt out. His 51 was dragging him down to the ground, followed by the deflation of Elliot's parachute. Jones was having a hard time pulling the pin out when he hit the snow face-first.
"You alright?" asked Elliot, who helped him up. "The snow broke my fall," he smiled, knowing Elliot would see his sense of humour. But the guy in the TB51, Michael, stood there silent, waiting for them to move out.
