America is insane, for when
the people scream "No Justice,
No Peace,", "Hands Up, Don't Shoot"
all they do is turn the cheek and
cops press the trigger because they'll
get a badge for being a hero
when all they do is murder
the ones who wish to be freed
by the color of their skin.

America is insane,
because if a girl screams for help
she's attention seeking or
getting what she asks for on the
basis of her clothing, even an
ankle can arouse an insufficient man.

America is insane,
because we use children to
make our clothing for a dollar a day while we're too busy complaining
about the minimum wage,
even if we fight for fifteen
not one of those children make
it past thirteen.

America is insane,
because being a homosexual
is the new fad while more and more
heads roll across the street
in Iran.

America is insane,
because we're scared to be brave
we hide behind computer screens
and call out issues we think it's okay
then we scream out our pain
in tweets and social media
because it's where our age dominates
the most in but it's okay
our messages come across
to our generation but nobody really
listens if we step into the streets
but one day we'll scream in agony
America is great again!

America is truly insane
because while we sleep away at night
say goodbye to each other
play games on our phone
and tweet about how much
Kim Kardashian ass weighs;
a baby is getting r.aped
a father beats a mother
a terror happens
a girl is being insecure
a woman can't abort
a school shooting occurs
climate change worsens
gas prices lower
inflation occurs
the stock market crashes
and that's how much we care.

America is insane because
it only cares for itself
and how much it can take.
money is the only thing
in our way, but we
wait for a change that
won't ever happen unless
we wake up and say it's
time to seize the day
and stop enslaving ourselves
behind a cellphone case.
