if you ever forget, I remember about
things that are often kept in the dark,
and the things that we're too shy to admit.

if you listen, you can hear my murmuring under the sheets, and best believe it's not waves of missing you.

if you speak, you can tell others about
how much I cried in the closet over you or how many hours a day I spent lying about how you really truly made me feel.

if you touch, tell others about your tough hands at the back of my neck or
how you bruised me and that's how i knew you loved me.

if you love, explain to them how much I fucking hate you and how you have knew clue at what I can do with paper and pen.

if you're happy, remember I'm still blue at the end of day because I will always be in the middle of happiness and sadness. Just how you liked it.

if you sing, please respect the fact our song was never truly our song because you deleted it the moment I sang the words wrong.

if you read about my poetry, remember this wasn't written for you, it's just another line that you fail to see past the truth.
