BEGINNING OF THE DAY

the sun lights up my room
through my curtains,
and your shadow
casts down my body and
you lay beside me
keeping the clouds away from
the blue sky outside my window
from your body radiance
and the time from the
previous night keep a bright
white smile on my face
and the missed calls
from our friends
only remind us of our darkest
past times
as we lay down in bed
your hands slip around my waist
and I guess this is it,
this is the moment where
I realize all I've wanted
is right here, trying to
understand everything
I've been through
and it might be
the perfect beginning
to my day.
