Four months had passed since Abhay protected his wife from the harassment she felt at her workplace. Things were going pretty much smoothly between the couple. It was a new day, sun was shining brightly and the weather was also warm.

Abhay grumbled in his sleep and after shifting a little he started waking up from his sleep. Abhay rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, and yawned slightly. He turned his head in the other direction to wake his wife up, but was taken aback when he found no one besides him.

Abhay started calling for Anusha, assuming that she might be in the washroom, but to his extreme disappointment the washroom was vacant.

"Where could she go?" Abhay mumbled feeling a bit puzzled.

Feeling concerned for his wife Abhay, took his phone and made a call to Anusha but again there was no response.

"Maybe she might have gone out with Mom." Abhay whispered to himself. Abhay sighed and decided to freshen up first and then ask about his wife's whereabouts.

It took him around twenty minutes to freshen up and get dressed, he had an off today as it was Saturday and Similarly Anusha also had a day off.

Abhay ambled downstairs towards the living room and saw his father and brother's watching a news channel on the television.

"Dad do you know where is Mom and Anusha?" Abhay questioned.

"Your Mom is in the kitchen and about Anusha she had gone out to purchase groceries." Mr Gupta said while watching the news very keenly.

Abhay nodded a little and sat besides Rohan. He was still confused at Anusha's sudden trip to supermarket as Anusha never goes to purchase groceries or other stuff alone as she always prefers someone accompanying her however Abhay decided not to ponder over it anymore and continued to watch television along with his family.

All of them were so engrossed in the television that they didn't heard someone coming inside from the main door.

"Oh! Anusha you are back? Did you got all the stuff which you required?" Mrs Gupta inquired while sensing Anusha's presence.

"Yes Mom I got all the necessary stuff and to be honest this entire process of buying groceries was so much painful today. There was this person who was selling 1kg tomatoes for rupees eighty, seriously Mom all the prices of vegetables and fruits are touching the sky." Anusha said while taking the bag of vegetable inside the kitchen.

Mrs Gupta giggled at her daughter in law's facial expression and nodded at Anusha's words.

"That's true groceries nowdays are way too costly." Mrs Gupta said making Anusha chuckle a little.

"Go and get fresh, I'll arrange the breakfast for everyone."  Mrs Gupta said and saw Anusha nodding hurriedly and leaving for her room straight away.

The moment Anusha entered inside her room, she felt a presence behind her and suddenly she was embraced in strong arms from behind.

"Where were you? I woke up without you in our bed, you know I was so worried for you. Also why didn't you pick my call?" Abhay said while frowning. He snuggled his head in the crock of Anusha's neck and held her firmly.

"I am so sorry but I didn't wanted to disturb your sleep, that's why I went alone." Anusha replied while smiling in her husband's embrace.

"But you always prefer someone along with you while you are going to a supermarket or shopping spree then why did you went alone today?" Abhay questioned genuinely curious.

Anusha took a second to reply back to her husband after observing the concern in her husband's voice.

"Actually everyone was a bit busy and I thought that I should go and purchase groceries on my own also don't worry too much,Yeah! I am now back in your arms safe and healthy." Anusha added and turned her body in Abhay's direction.

"So what's the plan for today? How are we going to spend our Saturday?" Anusha asked feeling a rush of excitement pass through her.

"Let's go on a date today, what say?" Abhay questioned with a smirk knowing very well what is going to be his wife's response.

"Date? Yes! Finally after so long we will be going on a date. However where should we go?" Anusha replied while giggling and dancing in her husband's hold.

"Calm down my cute little wife." Abhay laughed and pecked Anusha's cheek making her blush.

"Let's go in the outskirts of the city, by the time we reach there it would be around lunch time, there are some good looking cafe's at reasonable prices so I think it would be better to have our lunch over there and then let's go at the beach." Abhay explained roughly the plan of day making Anusha squeal with excitement.

Anusha threw her arms around Abhay's neck feeling a strong hold around her waist.

"I am so happy after so long we would be spending some alone time. I'll go and get ready." Anusha said while pecking her husband's cheek in return and quickly ran towards the washroom to freshen up.

Abhay chuckled at his wife's cute behaviour and mentally went through different ideas of making his wife happy at their little trip.

It was around an hour later the couple was dressed up according to their day out and both of them ambled towards their parents.

"Mom, Dad we both are actually going out for a while." Abhay said while rubbing his neck suddenly feeling flustered by his brother's gazes.

"Alright kids! Both of you make sure to enjoy and have fun." Mrs Gupta said while winking towards the couple making them flustered.

"Sure! Bye then." Abhay said and hurriedly took his wife's hand in his own making his way towards his car meanwhile Anusha kept on waving towards everyone making them laugh at her adorable behaviour.

It was an hour long drive and the couple kept on goofing, singing songs together and simply enjoying their time in each other's presence.

After reaching their destination Abhay parked his car in the parking area, he quickly ambled out of his car and made his way towards Anusha's side. He opened the passenger door for Anusha and bowed a little in front of his wife making her giggle.

"What a gentleman." Anusha snickered while scrunching her nose a little making Abhay laugh.

"Only for you." Abhay grinned.

"Cheesy." Anusha replied back while snickering at her husband's remark.

Both of them entered inside the restaurant, while their hands were intertwined with each other. Anusha was awestruck at the beautiful interior design and decoration of the restaurant. The place looked comfortable and was not so crowdy as per the couple's prefrence.

They both chose their seats near the glass window giving them a clear view of outside. After taking their seats both of them ordered their favourite dishes and continued having light discussions.

Abhay and Anusha were sitting across each other, their fingers intertwined. Abhay had a constant smile on his face and Anusha kept on babbling over her childhood memories. 

Anusha saw her husband smiling continuously without any break and was looking at her with utmost adoration making her blush.

"Why are you staring?" Anusha whispered feeling shy.

"I wasn't aware that it is illegal to stare at your own wife." Abhay smirked and saw Anusha glaring back at him.

"Are you trying to act smart with me?" Anusha reverted.

"Absolutely not! Poor husband's like me can never be smart than their cool wives." Abhay said faking innocence making Anusha whine.

"Idiot." Anusha grumbled while pouting and crossing her arms trying to appear furious in front of Abhay.

"Your idiot." Abhay replied back.

However Anusha tried hard not to break into fits of laughter, she kept her firm expression however was taken aback when she felt a quick kiss on her lips by her husband making her doe eyes go wide.

"You---!" Anusha whined and felt extremely shy making Abhay laugh loudly.

Anusha hadn’t been to the beach since her college days. The last time she visited to the beach was with her parents when she was in school. 

Abhay and Anusha had arrived at the beach just few minutes before and just in few minutes they were enchanted by the beauty of the nature. They both heard the waves crashing against a nearby rock. The Atmosphere was quite serene making them feel calm and relaxed.

Anusha removed her footwears and kept it on the extreme corner, she kept on walking barefoot in the sand and was awestruck ar how her feet had imprinted the smooth and silky sand. Abhay kept on watching the adorable actions of his wife and felt contended just by the joyful expressions of his wife.

Both of them had smiles on their faces and it was just within a moment that Abhay hurriedly sauntered towards Anusha and gently picked her up in his arms making her squeal.

Abhay kept on walking and stood in the middle of the water while carrying Anusha in his arms. He gently put her down making Anusha shriek at the touch of the cold water.

Anusha in return started splashing water at her husband and both of them continued to enjoy each other's company filled with excitement, liveliness and pleasure.

After splashing water for a while on each other, Anusha kept her head on Abhay's chest and instantaneously Abhay warpped his arms around her wife's petite waist.

"I never thought someone could make me feel so comfortable, I never thought that I would meet someone with whom I would be myself. I never thought that I would meet someone whose presence would get butterflies in my stomach. But then I met you-- My Husband and then I felt every emotion with you, I felt fear, kindness, passion and Love. I had given up on Love but then I met you and I am glad that I had fallen in love with my Husband." Anusha said feeling a warm sensation pass through her.

Abhay felt overwhelmed by her wife's confession, he pecked her cheeks lightly sending  shivers through her nerves, making her body tremble in pleasure and it was within a fraction of second when Abhay kissed Anusha gently, their lips molding together swiftly. Both of them were so focused on each other that the rest of the world appeared blury to them.

It was late in the night when Abhay and Anusha had arrived back at their home. They were standing at the front door and Abhay was about to knock at the door when he realised, strangely the front door was open.

As the couple made their way inside their home, it was quite astonishing for them to see the  lights were turned off.

"Why are lights turned off? Where are Rohan and Karan, I thought the might be awake watching movies." Abhay whispered to himself and turned to his other side to locate Anusha in the dark however was stunned to see that no one standing besides him.

"Anusha--?" Abhay whisper yelled for his wife. He quickly sauntered towards the switch board to turn on the lights but was taken aback when he heard loud voices and suddenly the lights were on.

In front of Abhay was his family--his parents, brother and his wife. Anusha was holding a delicious cake in her hands.

Abhay's eyes welled up with tears when a sudden realisation struck him hard that it was his birthday and his family had prepared a little surprise for him. 

"Happy Birthday my hot husband." Anusha  whispered slowly while standing besides her husband.

"Thank You so much my cute little wife." Abhay replied while looking at his beautiful wife and pecked her forehead making her smile.

"Happy Birthday big bro." Rohan and Karan yelled while throwing their bodies on their elder brother.

"Thank You so much idiots." Abhay said provoking his younger brother's and hurriedly ran towards his parents trying to dodge Rohan and Karan, making everyone laugh at the trio.

"So you had gone to the supermarket in early morning to purchase gifts for me." Abhay narrated out after hearing that the birthday surprise was his wife's idea.

"Yup." Anusha nodded enthusiastically making Abhay laugh.

"I love you so much and thank you for today." Abhay said while warpping his arms around her wife's waist firmly. They both were cuddled up in their bed after having a little party.

"I love you too." Anusha whispered and both of them fell asleep in each other's safe embrace.
