Chapter 24

Noah Gerald Sky

The Date - Part 1

He agreed on a date with me. Gloss said he'd like to go on a date with me. A huge smile makes its way onto my face, tugging at myself. I'll take him somewhere far, far enough so we wouldn't be seen by anyone who knows us. We need to be careful.

My mind flashes an image of Nerie Julberts, a reporter wannabe. She annoys every person in the school. Except her friends. She can make your day bad just by seeing her. Nerie has this dirty blonde hair spilling down her shoulders. She's originally a brunette, but she doesn't like to be a brunette, because she likes to be blonde, and that makes her happy. Nerie is also known as 'The first Brunette dumb'. She's also tiny, with her petite figure, and her height is 5'3, she'd be thought as a freaking dwarf. Because she has pointy ears. They are big. Plus her eyes always glint mischievously, like she's planning something bad.

If she has a chance to know what Gloss and I have, my life would be over. I can practically see the report on one of the TVs of school. The banner would be blue, and on top of it, the news: 'Noah Gerald Sky, the son of Richard Neil Sky, the owner of the Sky industries, is dating his own brother. What a complete incest.' And Gloss and I's images would be flashing.

Gloss entertwines our hands, locking his fingers with mine. Looking down on it, a genuine and made of happiness smile tugs on my lips. The simple act Gloss made is making the butterflies inside my stomach flutter with anticipation, excitement, and giddyness. He moves closer to me, as if he wants our body to be one. I tighten my hold around him, and I can practically hear his heart beating with an upbeat melody.

"Let's go to sleep, Gloss." I say, kissing his temple. "We have lots to do tomorrow. Okay?"

He nods. We sleep.

John's house is beautiful. Since his father is an Architect, Mr. Flench, John's father, designed their own house. It's a breathtaking house. John's parents aren't always home. Mrs. Flench is practically my mother. She doesn't want any maids, or cooks, or anyone doing cleaning in the house. She wants to do it herself. She reminds me of Genny. They are the same.

John's house is standing proudly, glowing with holyness, as if the Gods are home in there, having a hot tea. The exterior of the house is made of light brown woods and glass. It's a three story house, the 3rd level being the roof.

They also have a big gate, it needs a passcode to open, or a remote. Walking on the asphalt pathway, leading to John's house, the bushes are on either side of the pathway, looking gorgeous and healthy. Their lawn is so green and looks like it's newly trimmed. The sprinklers are turned on, blowing with elegance, spurting the water all over the lawn.

One car is parked in the garage, meaning he's the only one here in his house. Two wooden pillars that reach the 3rd level of the house, are standing luxuriously as I pass it. Most of the walls of John's house is made of glass. See-through. You can see the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The second level is the same. But rooms of Mr. and Mrs. Flench, John, and 2 guess rooms are blocked with shining light brown woods. Bathrooms, too.

As I walk inside his house, the eerie silence greets me. Usually, when John's alone, he'd be blasting songs of Jason Derulo and Pitbull. But today is a complete exception. The silence is getting in my skin. John knows whenever I'm in his house. Normally, he'd be singing and greeting me, shouting as he speaks. Strange.

Shrugging, I pass by the living room, where the plasma TV is turned off. Again, strange. It's always turned on. I frown, then continue to walk, heading upstairs until I'm face to face with John's door. There are strange muffled voices inside his room. Arching a brow, I bust the door open wide and my eyes widen, my cheeks heating up at the sight.

It's Ashton and John doing something naughty.

They are both sweaty and panting. Good thing their lower parts are covered with a blanket, so I can't see their 'formation'. They both look at me with wide eyes.

"What the heck, man!" John whines, shouting at me as he gives a deathly glare. I make an oops sound and he orders me, "Get out!"

"Okay, guys. Sorry. Um," I say awkwardly, scratching the back of my neck. "I'll just get out and you can do your thing, um, so yeah, I'll wait downstairs!" Scrambling, I close the door again and run downstairs, plopping on one of the sofas and turning the TV on.

Ten minutes have passed, John comes down, wearing a blue v-neck shirt and a black boxers. Typical John Lucas Flench. Trailing behind him, is Ashton, whose head is bow down, pursing his lips tightly, his cheeks painted with a cute pink colour.

"What the heck, man?" John asks demandingly, arching a brow as he crosses his arms across his chest. "You should have knocked,"

"I don't knock," I counter, grinning at him. "But I think I should have. And I think my life is now forever scarred."

"Shut up," he mumbles, blushing crimson red. John Lucas Flench just blushed. Woah.

"Ashton," I say in a sing song voice, looking at him, my eyes glinting with evilness. He looks at me, scrunching his nose up in confusion, then he blushes. "Was John rough?"

His eyes widen and he flushes, covering his face with his hands and running into John, hiding himself on John's big frame. I laugh hysterically at that. John rolls his eyes at me and tells me to shut up. That just makes me laugh even more. The air is starting to lose in my lungs as it comes out of my mouth from laughing.

"Why are you here, man?" John asks me as he drapes an arm over Ashton's shoulder, leading him at the sofa and taking a seat beside John, who's beside me. "Got a problem?"

"Yes," I say reluctantly and hesitantly. I have no clue how to date a guy. I'm very self-dependant, and I always act on my own. But dating Gloss is out of my galaxy. Out of my world. I want to ask Kevin or Collins, but they are always gone, doing God knows what. So that leaves John on my list. "Can you help me to think what's going to be a setting of my date?"

"Date, eh?" He asks, smiling evilly at me. "You and Gloss on a date?"

That makes Ashton's head snap at John's direction, then reluctantly, he looks at me, confusion drawn on his face. He doesn't know yet. Gloss hasn't yet told them about us.

"What?" asks Ashton, whose face is frowning.

"Gloss and I are dating," I say nonchalantly.

"What about that bitch, Chelsie?" Ashton asks, arching a brow at me.

Shit.

I haven't spoken yet with Chelsie. I should break up with her. But she'd ask, and ask, and ask. She'd throw so many questions at me, then the rumours would spark, and all eyes would be trained on me, observing my every move. Gloss and I will be in dangerzone. Chelsie is a bitch. She can make your life hell, and she wants the spotlight only for herself. She'll make dramas and shits. She'd throw an allegation of me cheating. Which is definitely true. But from the start, when she and I got back together, I haven't been acting as her boyfriend. It's a one-sided love.

"Right," Ashton says, stressing the word. "You and that Chelsie aren't broken up yet. Noah, are you really interested with my friend?"

"Shut the fuck up!" I shout, snapping. That question he asked makes my blood boil with anger. My chest heaves up and down. Ashton trembles in fear and John immediately wraps his arms around Ashton as he gives me a threatening look. Ashton musters a courage to speak.

"You've been a jerk to my friend, Noah." He says, fear evident in his voice.

"Don't you think I don't know that?" I ask, snarling at him. "I know I've been a jerk to Gloss, but I'm doing my best! You don't know anything. So just shut up your fucking mouth!"

"Stop, guys." John butts in, looking between Ashton and I.

"And so are you. You don't know much things about Gloss. I'm his friend. You're his step-brother. But clearly, I know Gloss' secrets and things, and also his past. Do you know anything about him? Maybe you know he's gay. About his father. But there's much more about those. Kaila and I know Gloss better than you. So don't you dare tell me that I don't know any single thing about his life. Because if we had a freaking contest on who knows more about Gloss, probably and definitely, I'm going to win." Ashton asks, his chest puffing.

His words hit me like I've been hit a car. It's painful to hear. I only know basic things about Gloss. It's so unfair. Ashton looks at me, arching a brow. John just watches us.

"Sorry, it's just that..."

"Noah, I know you're still trying to figure out if you're really gay for Gloss. I can see it in your eyes. You're deciding if Gloss is worth it if you come out of the closet and decide to shout to the world that Gloss is yours. So you better be careful when it comes to making decisions. I don't want to see Gloss being hurt."

What he said is all of true. I'm still thinking, doubting if Gloss is worth it when... if I come out of the closet. Good God, I like Gloss. But is it enough to come out and be who I really am?

"You're right, Ashton." I say, hanging my head low. "But Gloss makes me happy. I can't think of anyone replacing Gloss. I've never felt this way before. I really like him."

"You're so gay," he says, rolling his eyes. "I didn't expect that the great Noah, the God of Sexyness according to the bitches of the school, the Noah Gerald Sky is freaking gay!"

"Yeah, shut up now." I grumble.

"So, what do you want, bro?" John asks me, patting my back.

I fucking forgot about the date. Shit.

"I want you to help me on a date, I did say it earlier." I say, rolling my eyes. John smirks and Ashton tells me that he'll help, but he also warns me about the pros and cons when it comes to making desicion.

We plan the setting of my date.

+++

Gloss is stunningly handsome. The world around me fades away as he takes cautious and graceful steps on the stairs. He's wearing a checkered shirt, the sleeves rolled up slightly, his bracelets wrapped loosely on his arm. His hair is extremely expressive; it is messy, hair sticking up at every direction, which gives him a bad boy look, but also cute. A faded jeans to match his shirt, and a black Vans shoes.

Genny and Dad are back from their 4 day business trip. As always, they have bought us something; new shirts and pants from the place. We thanked them. Dad asked us on what's happening lately in school, we said it's good and we're fine. We told them that we're going on a friend's party, and they've bought it. They believe what we said.

True to their words, Ashton and John helped me to find a place. John wasn't helping at suggesting places, but tried his best. He's not good when it comes to making cheesy dates. Hopefully, Ashton suggested something that made me smile from much extreme bliss. Our date won't be one in cliché dates. Ashton suggested that I should bring Gloss to the falls.

Falls. Water. Big trees. Private. It's perfect.

John did his deed, he searched for a nearest falls in our town and bull's eye, he has found something. So we quickly went there and studied the place. It's so beautiful. Big trees. Isolated. Ashton did his best, to make the place even more beautiful. And he succeeded. He, again, suggested that we should put lights on the bushes, and when night comes, it will light up and give us light. John said it'd cost much, but I just shook my head at him and told him Gloss is definitely worth it. That made Ashton grin. So we bought lights and lanterns and fixed it around the place. John tested it, and the lights and lanters lit up beautifully. But it wasn't done yet. Ashton said that Gloss doesn't like a picnic. He just thought of it. According to him, a week before Christmas, Ashton asked them if they'd like a picnic. Gloss quickly shook his head and told them his father used to bring his family on a picnic, but since he died, he doesn't like picnics anymore. So John and Ashton erased the idea and thought of something else. Grinning, John said that camping would be perfectliny fine. That gave me a perfect light bulb moment. I asked them if they have a tent, a big one, and Ashton raised his hands, smiling up at me. We went to his house and grabbed the big tent and headed back to the place, and set up the tent. We found some logs to burn, and readied the matches and lighters. Flashlights and foods. I thanked them and they said it's completely nothing. Awkwardly, I asked John, in a whisper, about the sex. He grinned evilly at me and told me about how sex with Ashton was really epic and beautiful and intense and erotic. He said sex with a man will blow my mind. He nudged and wiggled his eyebrows and I punched him on the chest lightly. He laughed real hard, and that caught Ashton's attention. He asked us what's going on and I just blushed furiously. Then I dismissed them.

Looking at Gloss, he smiles at me as he takes my hand. Genny and Dad are in the kitchen.

"Ready?" I ask him once he steps on the last step of the stairs.

"Prepared," he says, laughing.
