Chapter 2
POV Armin
-5:15 pm-
I just got out of my history class with Molly a few minutes ago. We have many classes in common, yet we never talk. I wonder why.
I looked back at my contacts, I now have her number. I smiled to myself and closed the phone.
"Armin! are you ready yet?!" screamed my mom from the first floor.
"NO!!" I screamed back. I just got home and now they want me to go with them to one of my dad's worker's house? I would much prefer to revise for my history exam. Plus, I was planning to go to Eren's house to help him and Mikasa with their French.
I got dressed in a black suit and put on a red tie, a classic look that always made mom happy. In the end, my dad took the longest to prepare. He just had to take a shower, trim his beard, put on 3 bottles of cologne and dress up as if he's going to get married.
"It's important," he'd say, "We have some good news to tell you!"
I couldn't care less. Last time we went to a house meeting, we ended up canceling our deal with them. Poor man lost his job.
When we finally got there, a man, not much older than my dad opened the door. He was well dressed, but no one could top my father's outfit. I heard a loud shriek and I tried to peek from behind the man to see who it was.
"Mr. Ghostly, what was that?!" asked my father, disgruntled by the noise.
The man turned around to see for himself which opened a window for me to see... I froze.
Molly.
She looked different, her eyes much more intense, and her skin slightly pinker than usual, but it's obvious it's her.
When she saw me, she froze as well. Her mother fake coughed and glared at her.
Molly quickly apologized and came up to my father.
"Good evening, Mr. Arlert, sorry about that, I almost dropped my phone. Please, welcome to our humble home."
I couldn't help but snicker. This girl was a loud rude mouth who couldn't care less about what people said about her was actually acting polite. Molly glared at me, then smiled to my mother, causing her to laugh as well.
"Nice acting," whispered my mom to Molly.
POV Molly
Armin sat next to me and his parents were in front of me. They were talking to my parents using many papers. Probably some contract that I'm not even supposed to know about. I didn't care much about them, I was too busy eating my potatoes when I heard them say "....she'll love staying at your house!"
Suddenly I am interested in their conversation. I looked at Armin and saw he had a horrified look on his face.
"wait, what?!" I said a little too loudly. My mom glared at me.
"You heard us, dear, you'll be staying with the Arlerts while we're on this work trip."
I tried to hold back a choke. Me? Living with Armin?? Eren's best friend ??!
Nope, no way, this is just a bad dream.
It's not.
"Armin did you know?!" I turned to him. He shook his head terrified.
"That's why we brought you kids with us! to tell you-you'll be living together for about... Let's say 8 months," Smiled Armin's mother.
The parents didn't realize that us the kids oppose this decision. I went to the kitchen and Armin followed behind me.
"I'm sorry about this, I didn't know you'll be the one living with me," said Armin.
I stayed quiet. Why would he need to apologize?! I'm mad at my parents for not telling me they're leaving for an important job! I'm mad at my parent for not telling me that I'll be staying at some strangers' house!
Armin took some water goblets and went back to the dining room.
Think Molly! think! Can't I stay in someone else's house? Preferably not someone who's known as a bad boy?
What about Melody? Her parents work with your parents after all!
Thank you brain for the brilliant idea! I ran upstairs for my phone and rang up Melody.
"Sorry, I really can't," she said after I'd proposed I stay at her house, "They're sending away my parents too, but we still haven't decided who we're staying with..."
This is hopeless.
I went back downstairs do it wouldn't seem like I ditched my parents. Armin's mom smiled as I sat down and started explaining the plan.
"We agreed to give you Armin's old nursery, we'll bring your furniture in. Your parents will be leaving Wednesday so you better be able to pack in just two days."
I nodded as she kept talking about house rules, activities I'm allowed to do, my friends who are allowed to come and etc...
"So? What are you going to do?" whispered Armin while his parents weren't paying us attention anymore.
"What do you mean?! I'm not going to do anything!"
"Can't you go to someone else's house..?"
I looked at him surprised. "Thank you for your kindness and generosity Arlert," I said sarcastically.
"Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't want you to come," said quickly Armin as he turned slightly pink, "It's just that the boys will never let me hear the end of it once they know about this."
"Then don't them hear about this," I scoffed.
-The next day- 8:30 -
"He's really nice though! I still don't get why do you hate them so much!" argued Melody as I complained about Armin.
"You don't get it! Maybe they're nice to you, but they hate me," I murmured.
"Miss Glitterson and Miss Ghostly! If biology doesn't interest you, then maybe the headmaster's office will!" yelled at us our science teacher Miss Hange.
Why did I ever sign up for this class?!
At the headmaster's office, we found...yep the bad boys. Armin, Jean, and Eren were sitting outside. Armin was red with his head down while the two other boys laughed and patted his back. As soon as they saw us, Eren and Horse face started whistling and Armin turned even redder.
"Now, now boys. I know we're candy to the sore eye but no need to act so stupid," glared Melody at the boys. "Morning Armin. Why are you here?"
He sighed and put his hand in his hair.
"Wherever these two go, there's trouble. And I just happened to be nearby."
I sat down next to him and Melody sat next to Eren.
" We'll be living together for almost a year. Wouldn't hurt if we learn to stand each other," I grumbled.
"Actually I don't have any problem with living with you," laughed Armin. "What's troublesome is that these guys, especially Eren, like to visit quite often and I know that you two don't exactly see eye to eye."
I let go of a loud sigh. Melody seemed to enjoy herself talking to Eren and Horse face, but let's face it, she's always been great at making friends quick.
Eren stood up and fixed his leather jacket.
"Welp, I'm bored. Say, goodie-two-shoes, would you like to join me and the guys at the mall? We're leaving this dump," grinned Eren.
I looked at Melody wide-eyed and she shrugged.
"Come on Molly! We'll have fun!" promised Melody.
I couldn't say no to my best friend. Seeing the look on my face she squealed delighted and did a quick happy dance causing me to laugh.
"What about Rey?" I asked.
Melody got out her phone and looked at me mischievously.
All 5 of us stood now in front of the Technology class, hidden behind the closed door. Melody winked at us then dialed some phone number quickly on her phone.
Soon a loud song was heard; "Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Jäger!"
We exploded in laughter and quickly went behind the lockers. As expected the teacher had opened the door and kicked out Rey.
Jean and Melody high fived.
"Just like I told you. strict policy against phones in that class" murmured Melody in my ear before running towards her brother.
"You devious little-" Yelled Rey before noticing the rest of us staring. "What's happening? Molly??"
I smiled and waved while Eren literally laughed his ass off. Melody hit Rey's head playingly.
"So you think I'm devious huh?" she laughed. "Can't blame ya. Now that we saved you from that class, want to come to hang out with us at the mall??"
"You got me kicked out, you didn't save me," grinned Rey.
And thus, the day that changed all of our lives, has begun.
We rode the bus to downtown, and from there we walked till we reached the mall. believe me, it was a lot of walking. That concludes my athletic activities for the day.
"OMG! Molly look!! It's BTS merch!" squealed Melody as soon as we set foot in the mall.
"And there goes all your savings sis," laughed Rey.
We ran inside, dragging the boys with us and tried various shirts, picked up items worth waaay more than my whole month worth of allowance, and so on! We picked some few albums and ended up convincing the boys to get matching Tshirts with us.
Let's say they didn't seem too happy about that.
"So, now that the girls are done dragging us around shopping for useless stuff," grumbled Jean, "What do we do??"
"I vote KARAOKE!!" yelled Melody.
"I second that," smirked Eren.
"No!! what, I wanted to go to a cafe!" I argued.
"Don't worry Molly, they offer food at the karaoke!" laughed Melody.
"No, it's fine. If you two want karaoke you go ahead. I'm going to be staying at a cafe too," smile Armin.
In the end, we decided to split up. Me, Rey and Armin, go to the cafe. Eren, Melody, and Jean go to the karaoke. I'm glad Rey decided to tag along, I'd hate to be alone with Armin, but I can't help but feel some tension between the two boys.
"So... how exactly do you know my sisters?" asked Rey.
"Si-sisters?"
"Yeah, we've all been close since we were in elementary school. We're basically siblings at this point," I told Armin, trying to sound as cheerful as I could be. You can't blame me. I'm not even friendzoned, I'm sisterzoned.
Armin and I stared at each other for a solid minute before he turned to Rey.
"Well long story short, she'll be living with me while her parents are away."
"SHE WHAT?!" Rey looked at me, obviously hurt, "why would you live with him?! You know what his friends do, right? Why can't you come with us?"
"But... I called Melody yesterday. she said you guys still don't have a place where to go..."
"Oh she did?" muttered Rey.
Oh no. I could smell war. For whatever reason Melody might or might not have lied to me yesterday, I couldn't care less.
Rey was mad at Melody. And when the twins go to war with each other, everyone will be sucked it and everyone will be doomed.
