Sophie POV
Fitz was saying something really quiet, but I couldn't hear him, because Biana just appeared screaming, "hi Sophie!"
"Hey!" I yelled back.
Biana shot a dirty look at him, and I asked, "what were you saying?"
He blushed cutely and said, "nothing. Hey, Sophie, I'll ,umm, see you later."
He left, as Biana and I watched. When one person came, the other left... And I'm always just lost. Another thing that I could tell, though, was that something happened between them, but I had better things to discuss.
"Why was he here?"
"Is there something you want to tell me, Biana?" I said, a smirk replacing my confusion, as my eyebrows shot up.
"Oh, that's why he's here... That Backstabbing-"
"You weren't going to tell me?" I asked fake pain crossing my eyes.
"Well, now you know. I was going to tell you... Eventually."
"If my best friend kissed my cousin I think I should know."
"I promise that I was going to tell you!"
"Sure," I said, rolling my eyes. "So, you like Dex?"
"No," she replied quickly. "Maybe, I guess... I don't know."
I raised my eyebrows. "What about Keefe?"
"I don't know about him anymore either," I gave Biana a hug, and she said, "see you, Sophie."
I walked back inside the house, and Grady said, "Sophie, Sandor has come to see you."
"Sandor?" I asked in surprise. Now that the Neverseen was gone and I needed no more protection, my bodyguard, and close friend, had been sent away to work.
"Hello, Sophie," he said in his squeaky voice.
"Hi, Sandor!" I exclaimed tackling him with a hug, where he somewhat awkwardly put an arm around my shoulder and grunted.
"My has she grown up," he told Grady, who just looked at him with a knowing smile.
"She also applied for her Match Making Scroll."
He looked at me as if saying, 'is that true,' and then said, "well I better get going... The council has work for me."
"Bye, Sandor."
It was next day soon. Five more days till I get my scroll. Again, I could help but hope for Fitz and Keefe to be on my list, or maybe to ask me on a date. Biana and Dex were together I guess, so I wondered if it was okay to reveal my crush on Keefe to her. No. She probably still likes him. I wonder what went between them all though, since Keefe, Fitz, and Biana seem all different.
So the next morning I decided to go see Dex. While I was walking to Burps and Slurps, I ran into Phailen, a guy that once worked for the Neverseen, but now was a good friend who was a hydrokriton, literally. We both stepped back and apologized, until we realized who we were.
"Oh, hi Sophie," he said.
"Hey, Phailen,"
He was kinda cute too... Oh god, what's wrong with me?
"So where you off to on such a nice day?"
"Nowhere, really," the words had slipped out.
"Then you would mind coming with me would you?" He said a sly smile on his face.
"Not really."
He led me into a small valley looking plain thing and then we took a sharp right into a small cave. There, there thousands of tiny floating specks of lights, like lightning bugs in the night. I gasped as I saw how pretty everything was, and the lights started to change colors. My eyes had adjusted in the dark to let me see that there was a really pretty lake behind the lights reflecting off of them, as I stared in awe.
"How- how'd you find this?"
He just gave me a smile, and signaled follow me and we he led me around the small lake to the right and then another right turn to the exit the cave.
A cloth covered my mouth and all soon, the world was darkness.

I woke up and saw a dark room... And an eye. No. This can't be true. They're... They are supposed to be dead.

Im really sorry this is a short chapter and I haven't updated in a while, and I really didn't expect to do this so... Plot twist ;p
