Chapter 13

Well, here we are. Chapter thirteen, and I'm just gonna be honest with you all, I have nothing planned on what to do next. So I'm apologizing ahead if my story takes a weird or sudden turn and stuff or its just plain weird, but yeah. Thanks for reading!! And same thing, do you guys want this story to turn into more of an action story, or a drama story?

Dex POV

"Guys, I think you need to see this."
I moved towards the screenish thing Biana was pointing at, as I closed my eyes in disbelief. No... This can't be happening can it?
"Yes," Oralie said in a hush whisper. "It's not all a coincidence that Emery and Sophie both disappear within days, and it's not a coincidence that your scrolls are..."
"You think Emery did this?" I asked, a deep emotion hanging in the air. The scrolls... They were, they were gone. Every single scroll.
"He never really liked her, did he..."
"Wait," Oralie said, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. "Don't judge to conclusions. Another possibility is that well, Emery is the head councilor, he knows things that most people don't. And Sophie is special, the moonlark. They could both be taken away by an enemy."
"And that enemy is... Is the Black Swan. How? Why would they do something like this? They were so nice to us before."
"But what do the scrolls do with anything? What's the point of destroying all the scrolls?"
"It's not always the case but it has been scientifically proved that having the perfect match makes you a bit stronger, and coordinated. You figure out more things about yourself, and maybe even a hidden thought."
"Why would someone want to make us less stronger?" I asked, But the realization came into my head just a second too late. No... Why? Who? It couldn't be the Black Swan could it? I can't believe it, at a time like this? No one would... Would they? You know, it actually would be the perfect time now that everyone's busy with the council and stuff...
"Well this generation is becoming quite strong. We believe that you are are new hope for any attacks or to prevent violence."
"So?"
"By taking away two of our most strongest elves and well we think-"
"Oralie?" Terik asked coming from behind a corner. "It's starting. Bronte has called an emergency council meeting."
"No," she gaped. "Why a council meeting at a time like this?"
"Wait what's going on?" Biana asked as Terik dragged Oralie away. Her question was ignored but I knew exactly what was going on.
"Fitz, Biana," I started. "Right now it's more important than ever that we get Emery, Sophie, and Keefe."
"We already know that, Diznee."
"Wait, why more important than ever?" Biana asked.
"Because... Because we're at war."

Keefe POV

"Hey, old dude, you have any idea where Foster's at?"
My head started spinning as I remembered my dream from last night.   I killed Fitz. I put Sophie to a chain. She said she loved him. She said she loved me. I sighed, tilting my head back. If only I could be a cloud just drifting off where the wind took me. Wouldn't that be great? But I had something to do. I needed to get her back, no matter what.
"I have an idea," he replied.
"Wait, how do I know you're not leading me into some trap?" I said and put a hand on his shoulder.
"You don't. Just have faith," I didn't feel any emotions leading to him lying but you never know.
I kept my guard up, because I had a slightly uneasy feeling.
"Hey, kid, how about we stop for a bite or something? There's a town coming up an hour or so from here, and there we could probably get a couple clues on where your little girlfriend's at."
"She's not my girlfriend. And I thought you said you knew where she was at," I said raising an eyebrow.
"You can never be too sure," is all he left it at.
His voice, I spent the last four hours trying to place it. "Where did we meet before?"
"Doesn't matter, does it? I'll help you and I'll leave and we'll never cross paths again. The past doesn't matter."
A scowl came across my face, but what can I do? He's a stubborn old dude.
We stopped by a near by town as the old dude left me at a restaurant. He gave me a few goblin stars which exploded ten seconds after thrown at target and I casually slipped them in my pocket. Yep, casually slipping explosive in my pocket, I'm awesome, of course.
I sat down at a table and ordered some food, as a waitress came.
"Are you waiting for someone?" She asked. "Maybe a date?" She winked.
What's with everyone and saying I have a girlfriend? But I played along anyway, running a hand through my hair, and smiling, I said, "nope, I'm here alone."
Right after I said that the truth of the words hit me, as my inner smile washed away. I'm here alone. I really was, there was no one here who saw me for who I actually was, I was just the son of a traitor. It was common knowledge that my mom was part of a mysterious rebel group called the Neverseen all around the place, but not many people knew she was my mother. Honestly, I wouldn't believe she was my mother either.
Sometimes I ask myself why I fell for Sophie, but then I remember, she brought color to my world, she made me see things in a different perspective, unintentional or not. She knew me as Keefe, not Sencen.
I closed my eyes, my inner smile returning, though from the outside nothing changed.
Now it's my turn to return the favor from so long ago.
"I'd like to take my order now, please."

So that's the end of chapter 13, it was pretty short, and I'm going to try to make the next chapter interesting... You might be surprised. Well thanks for reading AND I GOT FOUR THOUSAND VIEWS THANK YOUU!!!!
