Adela

The grass flowed in the direction of the wind, slowly moving in a waving fashion. It's lushish green showing how often it was watered. Small patches of flowers littered the grass, some red, some purple and some pink. A pair of small feet dashed through the grass, disturbing the once peaceful setting. The small feet were cladded in black flats, under them showed white stockings.

"Adela!"

She turned slightly, her purple hair going with her, in some way making her appearance look even more beautiful. Her blue eyes glimmered in the sun. She smiled and let out a laugh, continuing her run.

The one who chased her stopped for a moment, taking in her appearance. A blush appeared on the young boys face. Finral Roulacase was indeed intrigued with the young girl. She was his only escape from his family. The same one that ridiculed him for not having strong spells, for being out done by his younger brother, Langris. But with Adela, it didn't matter at all, in a way they kept each other up.

"Wait for me!" He chased after her,  smile stretching across his face.

Over the past three months the children have been seeing each other a lot more often. Their fathers claiming to be talking about business. It didn't matter to them, as long as they got to play together. Finral caught up with the girl who stopped a top a hill, over looking the setting sun.

"Isn't it beautiful, the view is amazing from here." She smiled softly.

Finral turned to her, his purple eyes gleaming with an adorned look, "yeah..." He turned to see the sun setting, "it really is." Grabbing her hand, he lead her back to his family household, "now we better get back."

"Okay!" She smiled, letting him continue to hold her hand as they ran back.

Adela sat at her desk, her mother stood behind her, crossing her arms, carefully watching her daughter, who continued to write. She made sure her writing was perfect, and "lady like" as her mother would say. Once she was done she was given time to wander around town.

"It's been a while since I've seen you."

She turned to see none other than Charlotte Roselei.

"Charlotte!" Adela cheered, clinging onto the older girls waist.

"It is nice to see you as well, Adela." The older girl hugged her tightly, "where have you been?"

"Mother and father have been taking me over to the Capital. We have been visiting the Vaude family."

"The royal Vaude family?" She rose a brow.

"Yes, and I've been playing with the eldest son. He is very nice and funny."

"I see..." She grabbed ahold of the Adela's hand as they walked down the street, "I have decided to take the magic knight exam."

"Really!" Her eyes sparkled, "...but your curse..."

"Is broken."

"What?! When?! How?!"

All of the sudden a huge blush took over Charlotte's face, "...uh...a guy...he broke the curse and then told me to join the magic knights after he did so..." She was a blushing mess.

"You're in love! You were saved by your fated lover!"

"Don't say it like that!" The girl began to freak out.

"One day, I want to fall in love!" The small girl laughed, swinging their hands.

"You're too young to be thinking about love."

"No ones too young to dream."

"I suppose so." Her blue eyes fell onto a bakery shop.

"Do you wish to eat something?"

"I want a strawberry tart!" Adela threw her hands up in joy.

"Alright then, I will get one as well." She smiled down at the girl.

The two girls sat across from one another, smiles adoring their features.

Never in all her years of life, would Charlotte see the young girl as happy as she was. Sure whenever they would walk around town she would seem happy. But the young woman knew that the girl only hid her sadness with a smile. Inside she was sad and lonely, Adela had no friends her age and was stuck in her household for most of her days. But after hearing her ramble on about a boy named Finral, she could see a light in her eyes. A light she thought she would never see. And for that, she was grateful for Finral. Grateful that the boy had made such an impact on the young girls life. Perhaps he was her fated lover. But only time would tell.

"How old will she be?" Ledior asked the purple haired male before him.

The man set down his glass, adjusting her sleeves, "she'll be nine the following week."

"Seems she's a few weeks older than, Finral and a year older than, Langris."

"You do promise to uphold your end of the deal, yes?" He took a sip of his tea.

"Of course, I am a man of my word."

"I suppose you are right."

"Good. Than the meetings will continue until she is of age."

"It's okay, young mistress, you just need more practice."

Adela let out a sigh, "forgive me, Edith." She smiled at the old woman who was helping her with her magic.

"It's quite alright young mistress. Your magic is incredible, all you need is more practice."

"Right!" She held her hands in front of her, "look at this spell! Plant creation magic: fly trap!" A huge fly trap sprouted from the ground, it opened its large four leaves to reveal rows of sharp teeth.

"Mistress..." Edith backed away.

"I-it was supposed to be small!" Adela ran back.

"Flame creation magic: fire bomb!"

The fly trap whimpered before lowering it's head. Adela began to make her way over.

"Wait, mistress!"

"You didn't mean it, huh?" Adela stood before the fly trap, who in turn nudged her small hand, causing her to laugh, "you're not scary at all...I'm going to call you Rinka?" The fly trap eagerly nodded, "alright, Rinka it is!" She rubbed Rinka's head gently.

"You truly are amazing, mistress." Edith was in awe.

This girl would be an amazing magic knight one day.
