Adela

Royals and nobles all alike had amazing magic. They were so powerful that they began to look down upon those who were not as fortunate. There are nobles all around, but there are only three royal families, related to the Colver king himself. They are the Silva's, Vermillion's and the Vaude's.

The three houses hold powerful magic, each revolving around a certain magic affinity. The Silva's used water magic, the Vermillion's use fire magic and the Vaude's used spacial magic.

The Da Villa's were that one noble family that seemed to have connections with the royal families. They placed themselves above all of the other noble families. And they see themselves as the more superior. They specialize in nature magic, each member holding some type of nature related magic.

Adela Da Villa, the only child and the only daughter of the Da Villa household, was the future for her family. She was gifted with plant magic, to which they hopped would evolve in the future. But because she was the only child, she was forbidden to join the magic knights. Her only purpose was to marry a powerful man and bare him powerful children. She was trained to be the perfect housewife, trained to treat any man with respect and to be at their beckon call. The young girl held onto her mother as the three traveled to The House of Vaude. They flew high on the broom, she hide her face into her mother's dress, the height freighting her.

Once her father had landed they walked through the city. Entering the castle. Adela was in awe upon seeing the three main houses. Each had a unique style, each had it's own authority. She was truly in awe.

"Come along, Adela." Victor called her daughter, who began to walk behind the two, as she was taught. Upon entering The House of Vaude, she couldn't help but look around, noticing paintings and artifacts. It was bigger then her house and a lot more empty then she thought it would be.

"I'm glad to see that you have made it, Victor."

"I would never go back on my word, Ledior."

Adela stared at the man, he was of average height and wore a forest green top with a light green cape drapped over. His light brown hair was average for a man his age and he, in her opinion, was the definition of snobby.

"I would like for you to meet my family." He pulled Amelia forward, "this is my wife, Amelia."

The woman picked up her purple dress to bow, "it is an honor to be in your presence sir Vaude."

"Your wife is a beauty, as you described." Ledior laughed.

"I would hope so." Victor smiled, he then grabbed Adela, who was still hiding behind her mother, "and this is my daughter, Adela."

The young girl only looked down at her feet, trying to ignore him.

"Adela." Amelia snapped, "it's rude to ignore people, he is royalty."

She bunched up her magenta dress and bowed, "it's a pleasure, sir."

Ledior eyed the girl, not impressed at all by her behavior.

"She uses plant magic, mainly attack spells. I know when she gets her grimiore, that she will bring pride to the Da Villa household." Victor cut in.

"A plant mage who uses attack spells, I must say that is impressive."

"Indeed, sir." Amelia agreed.

"Now, run along Adela, we have things to discuss."

"Yes father." The young girl walked away, following the long hall before her. She did that until she ended up in the courtyard. She smiled and walked towards the grass.

"What a poor flower." She hummed, she lifted the wilting flower with her finger. Focusing her mana, she transferred it to the flower, ultimately, giving it life again.

"That was cool."

She jumped upon hearing an unfamiliar voice. She was met with a boy, he was around her age and had unkept light brown hair, his purple eyes is what caught her attention.

"So do you use plant magic?" He questioned, sitting himself besides her.

"I-"

"I use spacial magic, but I'm not really good at it." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "so are you visiting father or something?"

"My father had an appointment with sir Vaude. And he wanted to bring my mother and I along with him."

"Oh..." He then smiled at her, "I'm Finral by the way."

She blushed slightly, she had never talked to anyone her age, especially not a young boy, "I-I'm, Adela."

"Adela? Never heard of that one before."

"I've never heard of Finral either." She pouted.

"No need to get defensive." He threw his hands up in mock surrender, "I'm just saying it's uncommon, which makes it unique."

"Unique?"

"Yep! And your hair color is unnatural too! But I like it if you ask me."

"You do?" She blushed once more as she rolled a strand of her purple hair between her fingers.

"Uh, yeah." After realizing what he had said, he blushed and turned away. He stood up and held his hand out, she grasped it and let the boy pull her up, "I've gotta go back to my studies. But I hope we see each other again soon."

"Me too." Adela whispered.

The boy smiled bashfully, "then I'll be waiting for your next visit, Adela." He stated before he ran off.

"As well as I, Finral."

"Adela!"

She turned and ran back to her mother and father. The boy's smile plastered in her mind.

"Where did you run off to?" Amelia asked.

"The courtyard, I was practicing my magic."

"It's good to get familiar with this place, we will be visiting often." Victor stated.

"Yes, father."

"Come along now, it's time for us to head home."

'His smile...I can't seem to shake it from my head...'

Blushing furiously she threw her covers over her head.

'He was an interesting character...and he wanted to see me again...'

"Then when we meet, I will be more open, Finral..."
