Okay so I'm a little sick right now, but that ain't going to stop me from writing. Also, thank you all so so so so so so so freaking much for all the love and support from the last a/n ,it really helped.

The two teens ran down the brick pathway through the cherry-blossom garden, the petals fell to the ground slowly as the calm wind blew them around.

After a while, the two of them stopped to catch their breaths, taking in gulps of air. After a moment, Todoroki spoke. "Why we're we running?" He asked as he stood up straight. Yaoyorozu just chuckled. "I honestly don't know, I guess I just got a burst of energy" Yaoyorozu replied as she stood up straight.

She looked around to see what they could do. To be honest, there wasn't really anything to do. All there was around them was tree's, tree's, and...yep, more tree's. Deciding to give up, Yaoyorozu spoke.

"Let's just sit down, I need to take a break" Yaoyorozu told Todoroki as she pointed to a cherry-blossom tree and walked over to it, sitting down and leaning her back against it. Todoroki just stood in his place, until Yaoyorozu patted a patch of grass next to her, telling him to sit down.

Understanding, Todoroki made his way over and sat next to Yaoyorozu, shoulder to shoulder. The two of them didn't talk for a while, just enjoying the moment, the scenery, the smell of the fresh grass and cherry-blossoms, and each others company.

"You know" Yaoyorozu spoke, causing Todoroki to turn his attention to her. "When I was younger, me and my mom use to hang out here in the garden's a lot. We would play hide and seek, I would climb tree's, we would run after one another in a game of tag, or we would just sit down like this and my mother would read my favourite stories to me" Yaoyorozu told the multi coloured haired boy, smiling at the memories.

As she spoke, Todoroki listened to every word,and smiled at how happy Yaoyorozu looked as she thought back on the memories. However, Todoroki's smile faded into a frown. He never had that kind of love from his parent's. His father didn't care for him at all, and although he knew his mother loved him very much, Todoroki never spent much time with her, cause she had to stay by his father's side most of the time.

"Also". Todoroki turned back to Yaoyorozu, who now turned to face him, a nervous expression on her face, as she fidgeted with her hands. "I wanted to ask you something, but didn't want to in case you would get angry at me, or are uncomfortable about talking about it" Yaoyorozu asked Todoroki.

Todoroki gave her a confused stare. "You can ask me, I won't mind" Todoroki reassured her, giving her a small smile to show he was okay with whatever question she may ask. Yaoyorozu took in a breath before pointing to her left eye.

"How did you get that scare on you eye?" She asked quietly, avoiding eye contact, scared that he was now annoyed at her. Todoroki didn't answer, not right away. Yaoyorozu looked back at him, to see Todoroki had a sad frown on his face.

Yaoyorozu panicked, scared that she had hurt his feelings or offended him or did something wrong. "I-I'm sorry! I shouldn't have asked" Yaoyorozu told Todoroki, now feeling horrible for asking such a personal question.

"No its okay. I'm just surprised you didn't ask sooner to be honest" Todoroki reassured Yaoyorozu, hoping to calm her down, which did work a little bit.
"I was only around 7, maybe 8 I think" Todoroki began. "At the time, my mother was terrified of my father, shaking when he was in the same room as her. When he wasn't, she would be crying, asking why her life was like this and why she was stuck in that miserable place. I did whatever I could to comfort her, which did help her a bit".

"However one day, she was having what the staff called a 'meltdown'. She was crying to one of the cooks how she was so scared, how she was going to die there. By the time I got there, my mother was saying how I was looking more like my father and how she was scared that I would be like him". Todoroki spoke, frowning at the memory.

"Then, when she saw me, she had the most terrified expression I had ever seen in my life. And after that, she grabbed the kettle of boiling water and poured it on my face, burning it" Todoroki explained as he used his hand to cover his scare, hoping somehow it would ease the pain of the painfully memory.

Yaoyorozu just sat there in complete shock and horror. She could never see Todoroki's mother do anything like that. When Yaoyorozu met her, she was really sweet, caring and kind, and the last person you would think would burn their child. Yaoyorozu could see King Endeavor doing it, but the Queen,  it was hard to imagine.

"And also" Todoroki began again. "Anytime my father invites a princess to our castle and they see me for the first time, they either have to reactions. One, they are disgusted by how I look with my scare. Or two, they act like they don't care, but when we are alone, they ask. I lie and say when I was a child, the kettle water poured over me, they bust out laughing and say that it was stupid" Todoroki explained, feeling like he was going to cry at the thought at the horrible memories.

"Probably that's another reason I'm not aloud outside the wall's. Probably my father doesn't want the world to see a ugly child like me, with my horrible, burnt face. I'm probably a disgrace and a disappointment to him to" Todoroki spoke, letting out a sad, chuckled up chuckle at the end as he stared at the ground.

Yaoyorozu was saddened by what Todoroki told her. He felt like he is a disappointment. He felt like a disgrace. He felt like he was ugly. People laughed at him for how he looked. That filled Yaoyorozu with anger. Why would people make fun of how you look?

If anything, he was the opposite to all that.

Yaoyorozu took a moment before she turned to Todoroki, and pulled his hand away from his face that covered his scare, and seen how he looked like he was on the verge of crying.

"Your not any of those Todoroki. Your not ugly, or a disgrace, or a disappointment, and you shouldn't be made fun of and treated like that. If anything, your the total opposite. Your handsome, your caring, your brave and an lot more, and if any one dares says anything like that to you, I'll fight them for you with a sword in hand" Yaoyorozu told him in a brave, confident tone, causing him to chuckle a bit.

"So don't think for a second that your any of those negative things, okay?" Yaoyorozu asked Todoroki sweetly, kindness in her tone.

Todoroki was surprised by Yaoyorozu kindness and word's. She seemed truthful and he couldn't find any lies behind her words. It was comforting.  "Also, if anything, your scare makes you look more cool" Yaoyorozu spoke as her lips curved into a smile. Todoroki just chuckled once again.

"Thanks Yaoyorozu, you made me feel a lot better about myself" Todoroki told her, wiping away the tears in his eyes and his own smile forming on his face as he stood up and held out a hand for her.
Yaoyorozu didn't take it as she stood up herself and instead, hugged him, wrapping her arm's around his neck.

Todoroki just smiled more as he hugged her around her waist, enjoying the feeling. It wasn't like a hug that his mother ever gave him. His mother's was soft and gentle, like a parental hug. However, Yaoyorozu's hug was comforting and warm to him.

{Original, I was going to leave it here, but because I feel extra nice today, imma add in some romantic stuff before everything goes down hill in chapter 11/12 ;)}

As they pulled away, Todoroki spoke. "Thank you, Yaoyorozu" he told her, truly grateful for making him feel better. The girl just smiled. "It's no problem Todoroki" the girl replied with a smile. After a moment, it turned into a smirk.

"Hey Todoroki, could you, em, close your eyes for a moment?" Yaoyorozu asked the boy nervously, a small blush on her face. Todoroki found this odd, but he nodded as he closed his eye's as Yaoyorozu had asked of him.

For a few monuments, nothing happened. Todoroki stood there for about ten, maybe fifteen seconds, before he opened his eye's, only to see Yaoyorozu was gone. He panicked a bit. Where was she?

"Todoroki!"

Todoroki turned around only to Yaoyorozu, laughing as she stood about 20 feet away from him. "Gotcha" Yaoyorozu laughed with joy, quiet happy with confusing Todoroki. He to just burst out laughing. Anytime he saw the girl laugh, it made him laugh to.

After calming down, Yaoyorozu waved him over as she turned away from him. "Come on, I still have a lot to show you" Yaoyorozu shouted as she began to run. "Hey! Wait for me!" Todoroki shouted back to her as he went running after her.
