AND Sorry for those of you who saw... but I accidentally uploaded this chapter with only about a sentence or two completed... whoops :'o ~ Rachie

(Sorry, I skipped the rest of the 2nd day/end of last chapter, I just thought it made a good segway for this chapter, read on reader-chan, don't sue)

(One last thing, there is gay content in the chapter, if you don't like it, don't read it)

3 DAYS UNTIL THE CORONATION

[ Normal POV ]

It had been decided that Frisk would only be allowed out of the house if she was accompanied by either of the skeleton brothers. She reluctantly agreed, knowing the two were only doing it so Toriel wouldn't punish them later.

After the rule was established, she refused to leave the house, not wanting to create trouble for them both. Each time Papyrus or Sans would invite her out, she declined. Frisk knew there was always a possibility of her fainting in public or having another coughing fit, she would never want to leave her temporary caretakers to tend to such a thing.

It was the early afternoon of her third day staying at the skelebro's house. Her fever had been getting better by the day thanks to the skeleton's... unique succor. Frisk honestly wanted to leave as soon as she could so she wouldn't create anymore problems for her friends. She would miss having Sans to confide to about her dreams, worries, and Chara. Sans always seemed to be there for her, he treated Frisk as if she wasn't troubling him at all.

She knew it was just a facade, or at least she thought. Sans and Toriel had always had something between them, and maybe this was just his way of getting more brownie points from her.

Frisk sighed, rolling over on the small couch that she had claimed as her temporary bed, and shoved her face into a pillow. She was so confused, and she didn't like it. Papyrus had made her clever and able to solve puzzles quickly. Undyne gave her righteousness and the strength to face her enemies. Toriel taught her kindness and patience while making pies. Asgore made her learn the balance between peace and destruction by teaching her about the Underground.

And Sans... he taught her carelessness. Skipping work, telling jokes that draw multiple emotions from an audience, even seeing how high one can stack hotcats on another's head. He gave Frisk a release from her 'prim and proper' life, which would only grow once Asriel was crowned prince. She never realized how much she relied on him as an outlet, or how tedious life would've become without him.

But even after everything all of her friends had taught her throughout the years, why was it that she couldn't figure out the stubborn pounding in her chest? Frisk considered herself smart and practical, and this newfound feeling was just throwing everything out of whack.

Maybe she could ask Alphys later. She and Undyne had a functional relationship and were quite happy with one another. And maybe all that anime she watched could help Frisk in this situation.

. . .

After about an hour of trying to sort out a plan, she nodded off. But, of course, it wouldn't last long.

The skeleton brother's front door slammed open, earning a loud crash from Sans's room. The shorter skeleton came running out onto the balcony, his left eye flooded with blue flames. He scanned the room until he found the intruder. A blue glow surrounds the mystery culprit and as he's about to go flying into the wall, everyone heard a yell come from outside.

"STOP!!!"

Papyrus came flying through the window (although the door was wide open) and hugged the questionable figure. Sans and Frisk exchanged a worried glance.

"Oh darling~ I'm glad you're here! Sans was about to ruin my perfect body!" Mettaton sniffled, snuggling into Papyrus' rib cage. (Yeah, another-chan ships it)

Sans looked extremely unamused by the surprise visitor. When his brother first announced their relationship, he was just happy his brother was happy. But every time the robot came over, he would purposely act all lovey-dovey in front of Sans to draw a reaction.

The worst part was that Mettaton knew how to manipulate Sans because he knew the skeleton would do anything for his younger brother. And although the flashy robot had a fun time teasing Sans, he was genuinely in love with Papyrus, and everyone knew it. He was over protective of whoever his skeleton hung out with and got jealous at the smallest of exchanges.

"what do you want, Mettaton." Sans asked, his smile quickly fading.

"Am I not allowed to say 'hi' to my favorite boyfriend?" He replied with sass, giving Papyrus a peck on the cheek, causing the tall skeleton's cheeks to flush orange.

Frisk just stared in wonderment, she'd never seen the couple in action.

"what are you really here for." Sans scowled, trying to hold himself back from separating his innocent brother from the evil succubus robot.

"Okay, okay, you got me~" He giggled, walking toward Sans and making sure he stood much taller. "I'm actually here to take your little darling on the couch over there~"

Frisk sat up tall on the couch, her brain not able to sort out why he would possibly want her.

Mettaton smirked, seeing Sans trying to keep a straight face was hilarious. He knew that the skeleton was just seething with rage after what he just said. He knew it was something he could have fun with.

"why?" Sans tried to ask calmly.

"Why? Why not~? She's quite the beautiful thing." The robot teased, walking to Frisk and cupping her chin in his metal hand. Papyrus remained oblivious to this and thought he was just complimenting her. Frisk blushed furiously as Mettaton gazed into her eyes and used one of his famous smiles. Meanwhile, Sans was about to kill that chunk of scrap for even touching her.

"back off." Sans pushed the robot out of the way and looked at distressed teen. Her cheeks were still burning a bright red and she looked concerned.

"Ah, so you do~ care."

Sans stares at him a half-confusion, half-realization. Either way, he's not happy that Mettaton found out about his supposedly 'secret' feelings.

"Anyway, I actually am stealing Lady Frisk for today. Special order from Queen Toriel herself, we've got to find a dress for the coronation."

Mettaton pulled out a note with the message from Toriel along with a signature. One Sans can't fight with. The robot grins in victory and walks over to Frisk who was still in a firm state of confusion.

"Well darling~ aren't you excited to spend your day with the Fabulous~ Mettaton?" He poses dramatically and waits for an answer.

"Y-Yeah... I guess?"

"Wonderful! Let's get a move on!" As he pulls Frisk by the wrist and towards the door, he stops by Papyrus and intertwines his metal fingers with the skeleton's boney ones.

"As soon as I'm done, let's go on a date." He tries to say with confidence.

"OF COURSE METTATON!" Papyrus smiles, tightening his grip on Mettaton's hands and leaning toward his face.

"I'm looking forward to it, babe." Mettaton cooed and kissed his partner on the mouth.

Even though Mettaton probably had the most confidence of anyone in the Underground, just a few words from Papyrus could set his heart on an emotional roller coaster. He begged for Papyrus's affection and approval, the one person who could cheer him up when no one else could. The robot fell so deeply for the skeleton he couldn't even go a few days without seeing him.

Frisk often found herself longing for someone like that too, but was quite an expert at covering her emotions, even from herself.

Without further distraction, Frisk and Mettaton fled into the town, eager to find a dress for the upcoming coronation.

Knowing there's love in the air fills you with determination.
