10 | you could feel the anger
The brunette felt touched. His conversation with his teacher a few days ago really stuck with him. He felt like an adult cared about him. Someone wanted him to succeed. The weekend went by quickly, and the week break promptly came up.
Taehyung spends night and day ensuring he is up to date with school work. He felt proud of himself when his eyes scanned his desk to see his papers filled with pencil marks scattered around.
He felt relieved that he got his schoolwork over and done with. He spent the whole weekend working long hours. It was definitely worth the weekly income.
The morning's felt colder; people started to wear warmer clothes as winter kicked in. The sports students still wearing tank tops and shorts as if they are all alphas.
The brunette wanted to arrive at school a little early this morning to have some time to listen to music- sitting in the warm library. At the same time, he reads a book. He sat in the corner of the library that viewed the large court and football field.
Taehyung had a favourite spot in the library, a beanbag by the corner, with large windows to see the view of the field. He could see out, but no one could see him. Sometimes he sat there listening to music, staring off at the view.
He had been sitting on the bean bag for a while now. He texted Jungkook to tell him that he had walked to school. Which turned out well cause Jungkook had shown up at school hours earlier and would leave training early to pick the male up.
Jungkook had groaned for the fifth time that morning as he pushed himself off the ground from laying there for two minutes after doing some push-ups. The team spent the morning training, it was cold when they all arrived, but now it was hot.
"Everyone gather around!" The coach yelled, standing by the door with the three new boys. The raven stood up from the ground, feet dragging him along the basketball court as he walked closer to his team that were gathered around the coach.
"So I have some news, the Principal got more funding for the sports team for this college. Which is amazing. He wants to add another team to the college," The coach said, ripping off the bandaid.
"What?!" Jungkook blurted, looking at the coach in shock, who held his hands up. "I know, I know, but he gets to decide where it gets funded". "So what happens to this team?" Namjoon asked, arms crossed against his chest.
"This team will be split; Benjamin was the old team leader at his college, so he will be the new team's team leader, " the coach said.
"What about Jungkook?" Harry questioned.
"He will stay being the team leader of the original team."
"There is enough of you to split", Coach stated.
"So I have to lose people in my team just so all of them can be together; how is that fear coach? I have been playing with these boys since I first started college" Jungkook felt angry. He was pissed off.
"It is what it is, Jungkook. Grow up" The coach raised his voice a little.
"This is a fucking joke," Jungkook said, chucking the ball to the ground as he walked over to his bag and grabbed it— walking out the basketball hall and out the building. His legs led him to the locker changing rooms, chucking the bag on the bench as he cursed.
"FUCK!" he screamed, hands placed on his eyes as he let out a deep sigh. Taking his sweaty shirt off as he threw it against the wall. His muscles tense, jaw clenched.
"Ggukie?" He heard Taehyung's voice, causing him to turn around to see the male by the door. A puzzled look displayed on his face when Jungkook turned around— walking further into the locker room.
Taehyung had been in the library for a little while now. He finished a few chapters of the new book he was reading— placing the book in his bag before looking out the window. His heart dropped a little when he saw Eun and Benjamin walking together and laughing. Eyes followed when Benjamin wrapped his arm around Eun's waist.
"Fucking typical", The brunette muttered, packing his bags and walking out of the library. Only for him to hear his own name get yelled. He turned around to see Ryan jogging towards him.
"Hey, Tae", Ryan sighed, standing in front of him.
"Are you okay?" Taehyung questioned after hugging the out of breath male.
"Yeah, shit went down in training today- Jungkook is upset, rightfully so. We assume he went into the locker rooms," Ryan said after pulling away from the hug.
"Thanks, Ray. I will go check on him," The brunette replied, clutching his bag as he rushed towards the locker room. He quickly pushed the door open, calling out to Jungkook as soon as he saw him.
His eyes followed the male's stance, the shirtless raven figure standing there. Taehyung could see the sweat glistening on the male's skin, muscles tense, jaw clenched. He felt confused when Jungkook walked further into the locker room.
Taehyung stepped into the locker room, shutting the door behind him as he walked inside, following the clearly distressed raven. Placing his bag down, he followed the angry male further into the locker room.
Hands were placed on Jungkook's shoulders, whose head was down, and hands were on the wall. "What happened" He whispered, gripping the male's shoulders. Frowning when he felt the male's shoulders shake.
"Ggukie, look at me".
He felt his heart sink as Jungkook turned, tears in the male's eyes and a tired look draped over his face. The brunette placed his hands on his cheeks, wiping the tears rolling down his face as he said,
"Talk to me".
The raven felt calmer as the smaller male placed his hands on his chest.
"Coach is splitting up the team", Jungkook finally let out. "What?" Taehyung asked, surprised.
"Why?".
"The Principal got more funding money for the college's sports teams and decided to put it towards the basketball team.
Meaning Benjamin gets to be a leader of the other basketball team. He keeps his friends, but some of the boys on my team have to move over to his" Jungkook rubbed his eyes as he looked at the smaller male, who shook his head.
"That is not fair. You worked so hard on the team. You put your own time and effort to ensure the team was all okay, and we're all getting along."
"The coach put that responsibility on you. The years you guys have played professionally, you have only lost three times".
"Three times!, Ggukkie."
"I know Tae, there is not much I can do, sadly", Jungkook sighed, closing his eyes as their foreheads connected. "Don't give up, Ggukkie. That's not like you", The brunette whispered, their eyes closed.
Taehyung felt relieved when he felt Jungkook calm down. He was never scared of him when he was angry, even though many people were. "Go have a shower, freshen up before classes".
Pecking the male's forehead, he quickly grabbed his towel and walked to the showers.
