"Keep your attention on the ball, Jeon!" The coach yelled across the court as they all were doing warm-ups. "What happened, Kook? Your throws have been way off?" Namjoon asked, passing the ball to him.

"I have no idea. I got into an argument with Boram last night. Maybe I am just out of it a little," He replied, passing the ball to Ryan, who threw it at Marks's head.

"What was the argument about?" Namjoon questioned.

"About how I am on Taehyung's side and that Eun is going through a lot that we don't know about", Jungkook scoffs, dribbling the ball as he looks at Namjoon, who looked confused.

"How are you guy's meant to support her if she does not tell any of you what is going on? she can't expect sympathy. People aren't mind readers."

"That is what I have been saying!. I told Boram that I would always have Taehyung's back, and she lost her shit."

"Her getting along with my friends is really important to me, especially Taehyung. She likes everyone but him" The black-haired male groaned in annoyance.

"Has Taehyung done anything to piss her off?"

"I am not sure, I would like to think not, but both those girls know how to twist things if you know what I mean", Jungkook replied, throwing a basketball towards him. Namjoon caught it and frowned. "Why does Boram always get in the middle of other people's problems anyways?.

"I don't know! I get it she is just protecting Eun like I am Taehyung, but it is like she can protect her, and I should be okay with it- which I am. But as soon as I support or care about Taehyung, she loses her shit!"

Jungkook replied, arms in the air, showing his frustration which Namjoon picked up on.
"Have you guys talked today?"

"Nah, I will wait for her to come to me and apologise. I'm always the one saying sorry after an argument."

"Okay, boys! let's start a game!" The coach yelled, causing all the basketball players to stop what they were doing and gather around the coach.

"That was probably the most fun I have had training," Ryan said

"Was that cause you were out most of the game?" Hoseok chuckled, throwing his shirt at the male who groaned. "Yall are always up my ass about everything", Ryan groaned, throwing the shirt back at Hoseok as the team chuckled.

"Ryan is right, though. It was nice to do something different," Jungkook replied, taking his clothes and heading towards the showers. "Oh, Kook, I forgot to tell you that yesterday, someone came up and asked me why your friends with Taehyung!" Ryan yelled.

"What did you reply?!" Jungkook shouted back as he stepped under the showerhead, letting the water slide from his hair to his feet. "I said that you guys have been best friends since kindergarten."

"She replied after that, saying that she thinks it's weird that you are friends with him, and I said that what you do with your life does not concern her, and she should start focusing on her own", Ryan said in a serious tone.

"Thanks, Ray" Jungkook smiled. Ryan may be a bit of a dumbass, but he is a good person, and Jungkook knows deep down that Ryan has a soft spot for Taehyung. The raven always found it weird that people seemed so concerned about who he was friends with.

People always ask why he hangs out so much with his team instead of making other friends. That is because they don't judge Taehyung or Himself. Jungkook remembers them asking about his friendship with Taehyung, but none of them found it weird.

"I heard Eun has been chatting up the new boy", Josh commented.

"Is there a new boy?" Jungkook questions. "Yeah, the coach said the guy transferred from Silverdale and is thinking about trying out with his two friends who also moved here," Josh answered.

"Have you met them?"

"Nah, they started today but are coming to tryouts tomorrow."

Jungkook shut his eyes tightly, letting out a sigh. He liked his team how it is now. He did not need any fresh meat. "As long as they aren't cocky shits, then we good", Harry said.
Jungkook chuckled. "So true".

"I'm going to guess they will be. All the basketball players from Silverdale are cocky as hell. Of course, one of them is already chatting up girls," Josh complained.

The boys' voices chatting in the locker room turned into background noise as Jungkook's thoughts overpowered it all. He quickly dried himself, got changed and said bye to the boys before hopping in his car and heading home.

Taehyung was not at school today, which worried him, but the worry turned to curiosity when the male texted him to let him know he was at his house and had been there the whole day. Jungkook did not mind, and his parents did not either. Taehyung had a spare key, and he was welcome there any time.

It always made Jungkook feel happy that his best friend felt comfortable enough to spend all day at his house even without anyone being there. Before he got home, he went to the shop and grabbed some junk food before arriving at the house.

Jungkook parked his car and grabbed his bags before walking inside. He smiled, seeing Taehyung sitting on the couch, flicking through the TV shows. A blanket over his lamp. "Don't you look all snuggled on the couch" Was the first thing Jungkook said, causing Taehyung to turn towards him when he heard his voice.

"Your home!" Taehyung gasped, standing from the couch and rushing towards Jungkook. He placed his hands on the male's shoulder as he jumped, wrapping his legs around the male, who chuckled. "Nice to see you too," The raven said, placing down the bag to wrap his hands around his waist.

"Why were you not at school?" Jungkook whispered, picking the bags back up as Taehyung placed his feet back on the ground. "I just had no motivation".

"Don't let your attendance slip, Tae. I know it is hard seeing Eun but show her you don't care. Show her the bad bitch you are," Jungkook winked, causing Taehyung to chuckle and follow him to the kitchen.

"I got us some junk food!" Jungkook replied, pulling some stuff out of the bag as Taehyung' oooed'. "Did you hear about the new students that are apparently joining?" The brown-haired male asked as he opened the back of the sour worms. "Yeah, I did; how did you hear?".
"I was texting Jimin, and he was telling me."

"When did you and Jimin start texting?" Jungkook asked. He felt happy that they both were getting along. Jungkook was not a massive fan of Taehyung's friends, so he was glad that he was chatting with Jimin.

"Only recently, ever since he found me crying, he has been checking in on me."
"That is good."

"Were the new boys here today?"

"Yeah, but I did not see them. I think there are three of them," Jungkook
replied, shrugging his shoulders. "I heard they are planning to join the basketball team?" Taehyung questioned, eyes focused on Jungkook, who nodded slowly.

Taehyung placed down the sour worms, walked over to Jungkook, and wrapped his arms around the male's torso, head against the male's back.

"It's okay not to want them on the team, " he whispered, knowing what the basketball player is like.

He smiled softly when Jungkook sighed and turned around, pulling the smaller male into his arms. "I don't know", The male groaned, closing his eyes as he rested his head on the male. Taehyung knew the responsibility on Jungkook's shoulders, especially if new people wanted to join the team.

"Coach leaves it up to me to make sure everyone on the team is okay and has the support they need. Ryan and Josh never used to get along. Still, it was my responsibility to make sure they ended up being okay being near each other, and now they are super close."

"It is just heaps of pressure", Jungkook whispered, smiling when Taehyung hummed against his chest. "It's not necessarily fair that it is all on you", the smaller male replied.

"I know"
