Poppy is under the water of the large and deep lake by Bergen standards! Poppy is close to the surface as he falls down to the side of hill underwater! His body hits a Rocks sticking out there and the impact does hurt even underwater but, when he starts to try to swim away and up he realizes that something is keeping him there!

Poppy is holding his breath but, holds back the feeling of his hurting arm which is enough to say " ow!" at.  Poppy turns his body to his arm to see what is preventing him from swimming to the surface. His eyes widen as he sees that his left arm caught and stuck both partly between and under two of the heavy rocks! Poppy is a sitting duck and could begin to drown if doesn't he free his arm!

Meanwhile on land Branch dashes to the area where she saw Poppy! Her heart is pumping loudly in fear. She had only got here a few minutes ago which was when Poppy started to slip on the grass and fall! She hadn't heard Poppy's musical number. The Queen quickly ends up stopping six troll feet away from the edge. She can hear Poppy struggling in the water!

Then without thinking Branch takes off her leaf vest and black belt from her old brown dress with no sleeves and with a short skirt in a rush! A little less clothing will help her to swim better. Once the belt and vest has hit the ground Branch immediately runs to edge then jumps off diving into the water! She makes splash as she inhale her last breath of fresh air. Poppy sees Branch enter the water making him pause his attempt to free himself and is surprised to see her for a moment.

Branch spots Poppy next to the rocks in the side of the hill so she immediately swims over to him as fast as she can! Poppy tries to pull his arm out again but, it fails yet again and hurts his arm a little more. Branch immediately sees Poppy's problem as she reaches him. Then she grabs one of the heavy rocks and lifts it as she pulls it up completely with her strength enough. As a result Poppy's arm is freed and now has marks on it as it pains. The male vampire hisses in pain in the water as he ties to move his arm!

Branch let's go of the rock and swims closer to Poppy. It is clear to her that Poppy can't swim on his own with his hurt arm! There is calm but, worried look on her face as she swims to Poppy's side. She wraps one arm around Poppy who is struggling to swim. The Queen takes his other arm and puts it behind her shoulders. Poppy notices Branch's action as he feels Branch's hands touch him and looks at Branch. Branch gives him simply look as if she was telling him to help her.

Poppy nods his head to the woman understandingly then Branch and Poppy swims up to the surface both kicking their legs together. Within a minute they break through the surface gasping for air! They both breathe a little heavily panting. Their hair is soaking wet and there are water drops going down their face. Poppy turns his head to Branch slowly after catching his breath as she turns her head to him. Their hearts are beating slowly.

" Thankyou...",Poppy says softly and grateful.

" We hadn't got out the water yet. You should had saved it for when we got back to land... ", Branch says softly still a little concerned and honestly.

To Branch's mind they still are not safe. The Queen looks at the direction of the river's sandy bank which is far away from them but, is the closest path to them for getting to safety. Branch and Poppy are still holding onto each other as they start slowly swimming over to sandy banks. The water makes some small noise of splashing as they swim slowly.

After a long way of swimming Branch and Poppy slowly walks onto the beach like banks. Branch still has her arm around Poppy as he has his arm around her. Their clothing is soaking wet and heavy as their bodies are wet with water dripping down. They move slowly away from the lake water to the middle of the bank then they both fall down onto the sand tired from all their swimming.

The two vampires let go of each other as they do so. Branch lands on her butt with legs on top of each other as Poppy lands on his knees. He hisses in pain as he touches his sore arm. Branch turns her head to Poppy concerned as she hears him in pain. She notices how Poppy is clutching onto his arm. The female vampire knows that his arm is hurt so she gets and moves over Poppy's other arm then scans it. She gently touches his bruised arm making Poppy flinch then she notices there is open and long cut on his arm but, it is only bleeding a  little.

The Queen frowns then uses her vampire speed to get her vest and belt and zooms back before Poppy could say anything. She tries to wrap her vest around Poppy's arm but, he quickly moves it closer to his body as he looks at her hesitant. Branch knows that his arm is hurting but, if he doesn't let her do this she won't be able to help him. Branch knows how treat a wound like medic does since learnt to treat to her own wounds when she was a teenager. The royal doctor was willing teach her some things since he wasn't always available to help her.

" I will be gentle...",Branch says softly and calmly.

Poppy thinks for a second then decides to let her treat him. He trusts her. The man nods his head to the woman then brings his arm closer to the Queen. Branch smiles at him softly and comfortingly then wraps her leaf vest like a bandage gently and slowly. Then she does the same with her belt and puts it through the belt twice gently and slowly keeping her vest in place. Poppy just watches Branch work quietly.

Branch had saved him... She is caring for him even know she could had just allowed his arm to slowly bleed. She's the opposite of how Vampire Slayers would describe her. She is truly a selfless person and proof that there is more to vampires than drinking blood and turning trolls into vampires. Branch is more than just the Vampire Queen...

After one minute Branch finishes up on her makeshift bandage then looks up at Poppy. Poppy's arm feels a little better being covered but, is still sore. She has a soft,gentle and caring look in her eyes and in her facial expression. Poppy locks eyes with her still not saying a word.

" Are you okay? Is your arm feeling better? ",Branch asks softly and concerned.

" I am and it's hurting a little less... Thankyou...",Poppy says softly and honestly.

" Your welcome... I'll have the Royal Doctor check your arm out for you when we get back Vampdom. You need better treatment than what I can give at the moment...",Branch says softly and honestly.
