Poppy continued to have dreams about Branch. None of them were naughty in anyway of course but, they were like fanasty or romantic dreams which confused the spy. The more he dreamed the more Poppy was taking notice of his feelings towards Branch but, it conflicted and confused him.

Poppy would try to shake off his feelings and remind himself over and over again about his mission and how Branch is basically his enemy but, the moment he sees Branch or was with her or went sleep Poppy would just let them flow and grow without being able to stop himself. Poppy kept this all to himself and would write about it in his journal trying to figure it all out. The Strings have no idea about this and will freak if they knew!

One night Branch is with her Vamp Squad at Midnight Delights for karaoke night. It is one of their Girls Nights. They had to convince and encourage Branch that to do it. On and Sophie aren't working tonight so they can have some fun. Sophie has been joining Girls Night more lately. She is almost and unofficially part of the Vamp Squad by this point.

The Vamp Squad is sitting at the bar as they drink their mocktails and listening to the other vampires doing karaoke. Branch takes a sip of her Bloody Mary which she has been nursing for a while now. On, Josjos,Nightstorm, Molly and Lee laugh with Cheryl over her dirty joke. Dawn, Glimmer,Sophie and Angelina are watching the vampire on stage singing a random song.

Poppy spots Branch as he walks into the restaurant with Savannah and Eddie. A big smile spreads across his face. They are here for karaoke night since Poppy had somehow managed to convince them that it will be fun. Since he was a troll he had used his expertities on musical numbers to make his point even more convincing. Eddie and Savannah couldn't win against Poppy's points. Savannah leaves Poppy to see if they have to sign in to join and get a song list while Eddie went to find them a empty table close by to the stage.

Without thinking Poppy walks straight over to the bar eager to see Branch again. The spy pops by the Queen's empty side so quickly he accidentally causes her to spit out her Bloody Mary! Poppy had given her real fright. Branch glares at Poppy as she puts her drink down on the bar with a angry look. Her heart is taking a minute to start beating again.

" Poppy!",Branch scolds upset.

The rest of the Vamp Squad had saw what had just happened between Branch and Poppy and they find it funny and cute. Poppy smiles at Branch happily as he sits next to her. Branch shakes her head a little annoyed. Cheryl gets an idea in that moment.

" So Poppy? Are you here for karaoke too?",Cheryl asks.

"Yup!",Poppy says honestly.

" Maybe you and Branch should sing a few duets together...",Cheryl suggests happily and attempting to sounds natural about it.

On, Lee, Molly, Nightstorm, Dawn, Josjos, Angelina, Glimmer and Sophie notices how Cheryl sounds like she is planning something. They have been noticing how Cheryl has been acting different lately around Branch and Poppy. They have been wondering is going with her and why she keeps on trying to Branch and Poppy closer. Poppy immediately loves the idea while Branch becomes shy and blushes lightly in that moment. Now she is nervous about singing with Poppy. It's not like there is something wrong but, Poppy has this power over her that makes her feel shyly nervous.

" Sounds fun.", Poppy exclaims.

"No.",Branch says disagreeing.

Poppy and Branch turn their heads to each other. The Vamp Squad watch them quietly wanting to see where this is going. Branch and Poppy always seemed to have this kind of playful and almost a little flirty sometimes banter. And the way disagree most of the time it's like that banner just appears on its own. They would get a feeling something is going on between them that they are not telling them. The Vamp Squad enjoys watching the little  banter shows every now and then.

" It'll be fun.", Poppy reasons happily.

" No Thankyou.",Branch says blankly and softly.

"Say yes. ",Poppy begs.

" No. ", Branch responds simply.

" Please?", Poppy begs softly.

" Okay...",Branch says blankly.

Poppy's eyes light up as the fact it seems Branch is saying " Yes". His heart begins beating happily. He has been wanting to hear Branch to sing but, she always got shy about her singing then reject the request. Now he might get the chance to sing with her.

" Really?",Poppy says happily.

" Nope!", Branch says a little playfully but, mostly blankly sounding.

Branch gives him a look that says amused  " Got ya.". She is having a little fun with their playful banter but, isn't going admit it. She picks up her drink a little sassily and drinks some more of Bloody Mary. All the hope and happiness Poppy had a short moment ago goes down the drain as he realizes what Branch just did. His smile turns into a frown as his eyes dim a little. Branch and Poppy like to challenge each other but, sometimes it does frustrate them and this time Poppy is the frustrated one.

"Oh Come On! Give it a try, Branch. ", Poppy says a little frustrated then tries to reason again.

Branch puts her drink down onto the bar. It has one fourth of It left. The Queen turns her head to Poppy. She gets a knowing feeling that Poppy isn't going to back down in their conversation of banter. The spy notices that she is looking at him now. He hopes  she will actually say " Yes" to singing with him.

" Your not gonna stop. Are you? ",Branch asks softly.

Then Poppy gives her an knowing smile with a playful look in his eyes. He isn't the type of person who backs away so easily. He likes how Branch makes him work to spend more time and do stuff with her. It is in a way kind of their thing with their banter.

" Til you loosen up and agree? Yup! Or would you rather have me give you those eyes that you can't say "No" to? ", Poppy says honestly and playfully.

"No Adorable Puppy Eyes,Mister!",Branch says seriously and yet a little playful.

Poppy had gave her the Puppy Eyes a few times before and she would cave in. He learnt that she had trouble saying "No" to Puppy Eyes so it became a trick he keeps in his pocket. Most people don't even know Puppy Eyes are her weakness. The Vamp Squad and Rosiepuff knows about it of course but, none of them use it against her.

" Then sing with me. Please? It will just be a few songs. I never heard you sing before. ",Poppy says honestly and begging softly.

"Fine,Puppy Eyes. Just give a minute to check if my heart is fully back to life and finish my drink... ",Branch says playfully and softly.

Poppy let's out a small laugh at her reponse. The other vampires at the bar smile adoring this moment. It is more clear to them that there is more to Branch and Poppy's relationship.
