I stand outside the airport with Jake waiting for my friends. That guy was so excited to meet them that I took him with me to the airport. I literally aced the test yesterday. It was so damn easy. But now only my friends on my mind. I continuously pace around waiting for them.

My back is to the glass panels, when I hear a high pitched scream. I spin around so fast I am surprised I didn't break my neck. I run at full speed and hug all of them at once. All 4 of us start crying at once.

"I also exist guys" Jake says waving his hands frantically in the air. Jash gives him a typical man hug. I introduce them to each other even though I know that I have spoken so much about one to the other that they practically know each other. All my best friends in one place, that is like a dream. Jake wanted to take his car since it's bigger. We all stuff ourselves in his car and he drops us off at my place. I didn't go to school today but I will have to leave them and go for dance practice, since the competition is tomorrow.

The moment they enter my house, they walk into the kitchen and hug my mom and dad. Jash opens the fridge and serves himself some juice. My dad helps me take their luggage to my room. I cannot stop wondering about what secret Maya wanted to tell me. They are still talking to my mom when I come down. Obviously my mom loves them and they consider my mom their best friend instead of me. "You guys go reunite, i'll do my work for your lunch", my mom finally says.

I have dance practice in 3 hours so I have very little time to catch up. I had cleaned up my room very well before they came. If there would be even a little something which seemed out of place, these people with OCD would redevelop my whole room. We rush up to my room and they eye it suspiciously.

"OMG! This room is clean! I am such a proud mother today" Sarah says while pretending to vipe her fake tears. Yup, these are my friends. All of jump on my bed and sit in a circle.

"Before anyone says anything, what the fuck is your surprise Maya. I have been dying to know since a week." The room kind of goes quiet.

Maya clears her throat loudly and I cannot believe the next thing she says. "I am...a lesbian"

What? This has to be some kind of prank right? She has dated like 2 guys already. I am left speechless.

"What? When did you find out ?" I pour out my questions.

"Well...I found out last week and I thought that I'll just tell you when we meet." She wasn't looking at my face, only at the bedsheet.

"Look at me. I don't have any problem with you being gay. I am so proud of you for accepting it and coming out in the open. Even Jake is gay, and look how proud he is of it", she starts crying and hugs me tightly and I stop breathing for a second but I hug her back tightly. She is my best friend, I don't care what her sexuality is. I will always love her.

"So how did your parents react?"

"I haven't talked to them yet. I'll do that when I get back. I am scared." Maya says.

"Look babe, you don't need to be scared. We all are here for you and will always be, even though we live in completely different continents" I say.

I could never in my wildest dreams have thought this was gonna be her surprise. I was left....surprised. We talked for another hour or so when mom called us for lunch. She made us lasagne. I just stuff it in my mouth because I am late for my dance practice.

I rush out of the house and catch the bus. I am 10 minutes late and I can feel every eye on me when I reach. "Look, the solo performer, the most important performer is late." Ashley says with venom.

"Oh shut up Ashley, we weren't even doing anything except stretching. " Ian says on my behalf.

"But you have to be responsible if you are getting the solo"

"You are just jealous ",Lucas says. Wait what ? Lucas sided with me instead of Ashley?

"I am the captain and I don't have any problem with it " Lucas again.

"You are just saying that just because you wanna get into her pants. And since I didn't get the solo and I am bored...I am breaking up with you" Ashley says.

Lucas likes me? And did Ashley just break up with him in front of the whole class? Great, now everyone will think I got the solo because Lucas likes me. Just great. We continue practicing and in the last half hour Ms Marin comes to give her prep talk before the competition. She tells us not to get distracted or nervous and give our best. I zone out midway thinking about Maya, Liam and how he fought for me with Bryce,I found out his name later. I snap out of my thoughts when Ian lifts me in the air.

"Aahhh....put me down!" I start hitting him on the back. He laughs loudly and takes me outside before setting me down. I start laughing along with him. Ian may not be a very close friend but I know I can rely on him. He is so much fun to be around and the aura around him is so good. He improves the entire environment around him. 

I tell him about how my friends are here and that they will be there at the competition tomorrow. Since Ian and I are close, I am very sure that our duet is going to go good. But I am very nervous about my solo, if I will mess up a step. But I push the thought to the side of my brain and focus on what Ian is saying.

He drops me off at my place. "See you at the venue" he says before driving off.

I rush into the house to see what my friends were up to. I stop midway to see Jake, Wesley and Emily laughing on the couch with Jash, Maya and Sarah. Are they my friends or each others? Maya is talking with Jake and I already know the topic of discussion. Wesley is making the others laugh with his weird stories.I cannot feel more happy seeing this scene. I feel happy that Wesley, Emily and Jake can enter the house even when I am not home, as if  its their own. I feel elated to see all my friends getting along so well.

I go and jump on the counch between Sarah and Wesley. Well, I try to land between them, but instead land in Sarah's lap.

"Oww Fuckkk...get up you fatass. You are not at all light" Sarah yells.

"Shut up! I am not heavy" I whine. All of them start laughing. 

We spend the next few hours laughing and eating. I haven't laughed that much in so long.
