I take out the only blue dress I own and pair it with a pair of white sneakers. I choose the blue dress because for some reason I have the intuition its going to be a boy.

My parents, Yana and I leave together for his house. His parents didn't wanna do it anywhere else, but in their own backyard. Their entire backyard is covered with blue and pink balloons. The food table is covered with cake pops, cupcakes with blue and pink frosting. A boy or girl poster is hung behind the table with tinsel curtain backdrop behind them. A cake is also placed on the table with a 'Oh baby' placard. It is the cutest decoration I have seen. I am so proud of Liam for arranging all of this in such a short time. 

I kinda nervous too because our parents will be meeting for the first time, and I just hope it doesn't get weird with them. We walk over to Liam , where he is standing with his parents.

"Hello aunty, uncle", he says and hugs both of them. 

"Hey Mrs-uh- Judy, Jonah", I hug his parents too, "these are my parents", I introduce them to each other and they shake each other's hands.

"Congratulations on your kid", my mum wishes them and we give them the gift we got for them. I know they probable have received many other pairs of clothes and yet we buy them 2/3 more neutral gender clothes. They compliment Yana on how cute she is and we go and sit on chairs arranged for the guests. I go over to where Emily, Andrew and Amy are standing.

"You helped, Nyra?", Amy asks.

"Just with the idea, everything else is him", we talk for some time while Liam attends to the guests. I see that my parents have started talking to Emily's parents and they seem to be getting along well.

"Can we please have all of you guys here?", Liam screams through the mic. We all walk over and gather around him. He looks so happy sanding between his parents and both of his parents look very proud of him.

"So as you guys know we are gathered here for the gender reveal of my younger sibling. Many people might criticise my parents about having a kid so late in their life, but I know that they are going to be such amazing parents and that this kid is going to be proud of hem, as am I. Now here it is, the thing you all and us are desperately waiting for. Mom, dad please close your eyes, and don't open them until I ask you to. Andrew keep an eye on them", Liam says and rushes off.  Andrew ties blindfolds on their eyes. Liam goes and pulls the curtain down which was up in the corner. A huge woah escapes almost everybody's mouth as a yellow Mercedes convertible is standing in front of us. Liam indicates Andrew to remove the blindfold and he does that. A small gasp escapes Jonah's mouth and Judy immediately places her hand on her mouth. Both of them just stand there in surprise at a lack of words.

"Are you gifting me this Liam?", Jonah finally speaks.

"Don't be too happy dad, I have just rented it for today. Not that rich yet. I can gift you this from your own money if you want it", he replies and everyone laughs.

"Come sit in this", he says and both if them go and sit in the convertible, their hands interwined. Liam pulls me, to stand next to him.

"When I count from three to one, you start the car dad, Ok? Your favourite car",  Liam says and pulls me tightly towards him. He begins the countdown  and we all do it with him. Just as he says zero, his dad starts the car and pink fume bursts out from exhaust pipe and everybody screams in excitement. His mother starts crying and hugs Jonah. Liam hugs me and lifts me in the air. So much for wearing blue. I am so excited for them. A new baby girl in the house. Jonah and Judy rush out of the car to hug Liam. His grand- dad comes to hug his parents.

"Its a girl!", Jonah yells and starts crying again. Liam too has started crying now. He is going to be such an amazing brother to this small girl. All our friends come over to him. Soon as the tears dry, everybody comes to tell Liam how he had arranged such an amazing party with an amazing reveal, since his dad loves cars.

I look over to my parents to see that my mum is in tears and my dad is trying to console her. Yana is off o the food table with some friend she made. I walk over to them, even I cried a little when the reveal happened, it was emotional. But why is she crying even after 10 minutes?

"Hey, what's wrong?", I never know how to react when my mum cries, I always am at a lack of words for her. She just shakes her head and dries up her tears.

"Everything's fine. You go enjoy the rest of the party", my dad says.

"No its not, tell me. She is obviously not crying for fun. What happened?"

"We'll tell you when we get home. Now go enjoy", dad says and pushes me towards my friends. I walk over to them lost in my own thoughts. Andrew tells us about Alina coming tomorrow and we all go to eat the food. I know something is wrong because my dad usually doesn't hide stuff from me, he tells whatever it is.

There is a heavy silence in the car as we drive back home. The light music from the radio is the only source if noise. My mum is in deep thought the entire ride.

I go and sit on the couch as soon as I enter, my hands folded, telling them I am not going up without an explanation. They walk up to me and Yana who has also followed me.

"We....we had a miscarriage before we had Yana. Your mother was in depression for a few months, almost a year after that and seeing all this new baby stuff just makes her emotional.", I am overthrown by this revelation, my brain is slowly trying to process this information.
