A Distraction
*****
2nd person's POV
You walk slowly down the hallway, your entire body numb. You can't believe what just happened. More so, you can't stop thinking about why... what could you possibly have done that led him to the extreme of dismissing you from the company?
You hold in all of your emotion. You walk to your desk and gather your things. You hear Hoseok calling out to you, but you don't reply. You know that if you try to speak then all of your tears that you're so barely holding in will come flowing out like a waterfall. Ignoring everything and everyone, you step into the lift and make your descent to the ground floor. Walking right past the sleeping Yoongi at reception, you walk briskly out of the building and all the way down the street to the bus stop.
The entire ride you manage to keep your composure, and it's only when you set foot inside your house that you finally allow yourself to vent all the frustration and sadness that has been pent up inside of you ever since you left Jungkook's office.
As soon as you close the front door behind you, you throw your keys and bag onto the floor. Your back slowly sliding down the door, you cover your face with your hands and begin to sob uncontrollably.

Jungkook's POV
My elbows on the desk, I run my hands through my black hair. What have I done? Even though I'm heartbroken, I shouldn't have done that. I acted purely upon my own selfishness; yet another reason why Y/N is better off without me.
At least it's easier this way.
At least I won't have to see them every day, torturing me every time they give each other a loving smile or brush hands as they walk by. But as hard as I try to comfort myself, I can't help knowing that I've done something truly despicable.
As for Jimin... I don't know what I'll do about him. I'm not going to fire him. I know it isn't his fault; he's just in love the same as I am. But at the same time, I'm scared I'll never be able to see him the same way again. Just as we managed to finally patch up our broken friendship, suddenly I don't think I can even look at him without bursting with anger and jealousy.
That's how much she means to me now.
I slap myself in the face a couple of times. She's making me weak, and I don't like it. I have to accept this; Y/N is with Jimin now, and it's time to get over her.
I look down at my files and suddenly I see something printed in the corner of a sheet; a name that belongs to a young girl who works on this floor. I remember she was quite attractive and kept giving me suggestive looks whenever I passed her by, but I had always ignored her and showed no interest, assuming she was just like the other thirsty girls who had tried to hook up with me.
Up until now. I need a distraction, I need help to get over Y/N. And this girl seems like a suitable candidate.

Hoseok's POV
I watched as Y/N scurried to the lift with her belongings, ignoring the sound of my voice calling her name. I didn't understand why she was leaving... her shift wasn't even over yet.
I ran to the lift so I could confront her, but it was too late; the doors had closed.
I pressed the button of the other lift, tapping my foot impatiently as I waited for it to open. Hopping inside, I smashed the "ground floor" button. But when I arrived at the reception, there was no sign of Y/N.
I walked over to Yoongi, shaking his shoulder hesitantly to wake him up.
"Hyung!" I hissed. He raised his head slowly with a groan and turned his head my way. He glared at me furiously.
"What the fuck do you want?" he growled. I was used to this reaction by now, so I ignored his cursing.
"Yah, shut up, this is important. Did you see Y/N leave?"
Suddenly intrigued by the urgent tone of my voice, he sat up and turned his head towards the doorway. Yoongi might have looked stone cold on the outside, but I knew that because he never had much of a family he had a soft spot for his friends.
"No, I didn't. Why would she be leaving?" He looked worried.
"That's what I want to know," I bit my lip. "She had all of her belongings with her. She looked upset,"
Yoongi's jaw hardened. "Jungkook," he muttered under his breath. To my surprise, he stood up.
"There's only one reason why she would be leaving with all of her things. He must have gotten rid of her,"
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What? Hyung, don't be a pabo. Didn't you see the way he ran after her last night? He's clearly smitten,"
"Well can you think of anything else?" He narrowed his triangular eyes at me. I remembered back to earlier this morning when Jungkook said that he was looking for Y/N. Maybe it was true?
"There's only one way to find out," And with that, he marched off to the lift.

Yoongi's POV
I hate being woken up like this from my beautiful slumber. But if that little shit hurt Y/N's feelings, I'm not going to be happy. She's a nice girl and she doesn't deserve this.
I approach his office door and take hold of the handle, storming in. The sight that was before me was shocking to say the least, only because it was one I hadn't seen for a few weeks now.
There was Jungkook, leaning up against the wall with some random girl all over him, running her hands up and down him like there was no tomorrow. Their faces were fused together in a heated makeout.
I gag internally as I knock on the open door loudly, interrupting their actions and making them pull away.
To my utter shock, Jungkook glares at me.
"What?" He says in an annoyed voice. I glare at him furiously. How dare he disrespect his hyung? If he thinks I'm just going to walk away, he's very wrong. Once he sees my outraged expression, he knows that I'm not messing around. His deadpan face drops, being replaced by the face of the scared little boy I once knew.
"Jeon Jungkook," I growl warningly. He lets go of the girl immediately, pushing her away.
"You," I point at the naïve young girl. "Out!"
Neither of them dares to argue with me. She leaves without a sound, quickly doing up the top buttons of her blouse and straightening her messy hair.
As soon as she has left, I close the door behind me and sigh.
"Jungkook, just what do you think you're doing?"
"I'm doing what I always do. Why is it suddenly a problem for you?"
I stare at him incredulously. Has he gone mad?
"But you haven't gone back to your old habits for weeks. And you ran after Y/N yesterday... you literally look at her like she's the only thing on this planet! I thought you were whipped, kid,"
Jungkook's eyes harden at the mention of Y/N, and that's when I know something must have happened, something that I didn't know about.
"I don't like her," He replies simply, looking me dead in the eye. "I may have been attracted to her physically for a bit, but I lost interest," he shrugs nonchalantly. But he forgets, I've known the kid since he was 15. By now, I can tell when he's lying even with my eyes closed.
"Why are you lying to me?" My tone is slightly softer as I can see that he's having an internal battle with himself. If he needs advice, I'm here for him and he knows that.
"Just please, leave me alone, Hyung,"
But he doesn't want it.
I shake my head in disappointment and walk out of his office, closing the door behind me and leaving him to his thoughts.
