Why don't you accept that you love her?

I can't accept in front of her. What's the point of dreaming about something that would never come true.

You want to accept her.

I accept that I love her, but can't accept her.

Is this the reason why you picked up the D Locket and carried it all the way with you?

Huh, the one which you are wearing close to your heart Rakshit. Accept your love in front of her before you can't!

But I can't accept! And she's gonna move on soon. It's not that she loves me to the core. (I held the locket for a few moments before placing it in a drawer)

Like seriously! (He was shouting at me. His voice reflecting rage) The girl who cried cuz you told her you were not coming. She had even dreamt of a life with you?! Marriage, Children and a family with you!

Her guardian told me. We are not supposed to tell it but I was allowed to break a little rule. And now she is crying uncontrollably!

A knock was heard on the door breaking the conversation between my guardian and I. I got up and went to open it.

There stood Romi Sood, with a trying wearied faced. A look no one had ever witnessed before.

"What happened sir? Are you okay?" I asked out of concern.

"Nothing is okay. I have never seen my princess like this" My heart skipped a beat on the mention of her. If it was something related to her that caused his grief, it would be a serious situation.

"Come inside sir. We can talk" He came inside and settled himself on the couch before shedding two tear drops.

"What has happened to her? Her smile faded away. Just like someone took it"

"What happened?" I tried to sound normal.

As if you jerk don't know that!

"I don't know. When I came she was sleeping outside my room. When we got inside she cried uncontrollably saying that she was hurt. The last time I saw her cry like this was when our parents died" He explained, making a guilt lump in my throat. "I know What's wrong and I'm gonna fix it" He knew?

"What's wrong?" I asked, nervousness flooding my veins at what he knew and how was he going to fix that.

"I am not a good brother. That's the reason she won't tell me why she's hurt. And I am gonna fix that. Fix our relation" I sighed in relief as there was no mention her love for me.

You are relieved? Seriously? First time I am actually hating you for something. How could you do this to her?

"I am sure you can and you will"

Better not advise others if you don't stand up to it.

"It's all about tonight. Tomorrow morning she will again become my crazy little unbeatable princess" He smiled. There was truth in his statement for nothing could alter that girl's hope.

"That's what is Special about her"

"Yes" He stood up to leave but stopped in his tracks toward the door. He turned towards me, his looks questioning me, "Do you have any idea what's wrong with her?"

"Um....no"

How easily can you lie? Wow! Shame on you Rakshit. You broke a pure soul's heart.

"I think someone is there" I gasped at the thought of who that someone was in his views. "I think she loves someone and the one don't love her back"

"What if he does" Anger flushed inside me when he referred that someone who was actually me, not loving her.

"What do you mean? Do you know him?"

"No. I mean, how can you say she is in love?" He smiled painfully.

"You see. I did a little mistake" He did a what?!

Mistake. In which language should I translate you jerk?

"What did you do?"

It's rubbish that you keep on questioning that 'What' again and again.

"Two years back, I met a girl. She was a normal college going girl. She was sweet, bubbly and what not?"

An asshole like Rakshit. She was not an asshole like Rakshit!

"Then?"

"She loved me. From the moment she saw me in her college for some work. She was in her last year. She started stalking me, following me and sending me anonymous messages. Even I started falling. I knew it was her when she sent me a bouquet in the office. And then" he sighed.

Curiosity kicked me hard and I couldn't resist asking what happened next. "Then?!" What happened then!

"The next day, of that bouquet, I met her and I proposed her. But"

Why is this man stopping! "But what!!!" Gosh! Don't do that! Tell me.

"She accepted it but her guardians didn't" ok what? Guardian? You all do this?

Idiot! The other guardians. The ones who have legal custody.

"What did you do?"

"I was shattered. I knew she loved me so much. And sometimes I felt I couldn't pay her love back. Still I took the courage to propose. I was heartbroken! But I couldn't compel her. I gave up my hope on her" He walked to the door.

"Do you still love her?"

"To the core" Betraying Divya?

"What was her name? And where is she now? Is she married? Does she also still love you? Why are you marrying? Can't you both get together? It could have a happy ending" Even if he was engaged I pitied the girl who was deeply in love with her.

He smiled at me. "You want to know who she is?"

"Yes"

"Her name is" Why is this man stopping like this! Ruining the essence of the story.

"Her name is what!!!!" I literally shouted out of excitement and he chuckled.

"My princess had left her impact on you" I maintained my posture and asked him politely who the girl was. "Maybe some other time"

"Her name is Divya" He smiled as he walked out.

"But how?!" I shouted from behind making him stop in the hallway.

"The beauty of love. I gave up on her but she never gave up on me. And I'm sure neither will my princess give up" He smiled and left.
