I'm running late!

I grabbed my ballet flats, and jammed my feet into them. I put on my grey blazer over my white button down shirt. My black hair was in a simple bun, and I was wearing a matching grey knee length skirt. I even attempted to put makeup on, hence why I was now running late. I forgot how time consuming makeup can be. I dashed out the door, and sped off to work in my car.

I got to work with only a few minutes left to spare. I glanced up at the massive glass building, with the gigantic letters that spelled out Skye Inc. Heather told me she was taking over the merger with BigHit Entertainment, but I didn't actually believe her. I wondered if I would run into Jin here today.

Nah, I'm sure he's back in Korea by now.

Breathe Cora you will be fine, I muttered to myself as I briskly walked up the steps towards the entrance. My stomach did somersaults, as I felt my anxiety rising. The glass doors swung open as I entered, and security checked my bag. I showed them my brand new work badge, while greeting the security guards. With many famous artists working for Skye Inc. the security had to be top notch. I headed straight to the elevators, and pressed the button for the fourth floor. As the doors began to shut, a man's arm reached in to stop the doors from closing.

I instantly recognized Jin's manager, Sejin as he stepped into the elevator and I anxiously waited for the doors to close. I looked down at my watch, I was going to be late for sure!

Right before the elevator doors shut, Jin ran in. He was wearing a Gucci business suit, tailored perfectly to his muscular body, and broad shoulders. His cologne filled the air and it was so intoxicating. His shiny dark hair was neatly parted, and combed to the side. I caught my breath, this man was so effortlessly good looking. I gulped and silently freaked out.

Jin doesn't notice me at first, and I tried to hide behind his manager. Jin's manager pressed the third floor button. Jin turned his head to talk to his manager and I tried to look in the opposite direction, hoping to avoid his gaze. It was at that moment that I noticed the elevator had mirrors. Jin had a perfect view of me, unsuccessfully trying to hide from him. Our eyes met, and I saw a confused look come over his face. He slightly smirked at me, and waved. Embarrassed, I glanced back with a sheepish smile and tucked my overgrown bangs behind my ear.

"Hi Cora! I'm not sure why you're here, but you don't need to hide from me." Jin looked as if he was enjoying himself.

"I wasn't hiding!" I said with fake confidence.

Jin chuckled, "I think we should talk if you have time."

"I'm sorry, I need to get to work." I glanced worriedly at my watch.

"Oh you work here?" Jin raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, Heather hired me as an intern assistant."

"I didn't know she hired you to work for her. That's interesting..." He commented as the elevator for the third floor finally opened.

"Well this is me, have a nice day! I'm sure I'll see you around." Jin said before stepping out with his manager.

Oh my God! Why is he here? He should be in Korea!

Heather told me she needed an assistant after her company's merger with BigHit Entertainment, and asked me to help. I've been unemployed for a year, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity.

The doors opened for the fourth floor, and I headed towards the office in the back. I quickly said hello to all of my new coworkers. Most looked me over curiously, and said hello back. I suddenly felt nervous as I knocked on the black door that had Heather Sky's name in bold letters posted across it. Heather opened it, and had a huge grin on her face.

"Welcome to Skye Inc. my new assistant!" She said enthusiastically.

"Why are you being so formal?" I've never heard her talk to me in this strange tone.

"Shh! People don't know I hired you solely based on our friendship. Come inside, let's talk." She whispered trying to keep her voice down.

She peeked around out the door, and closed it.

"Okay, first of all great job wearing the suit I suggested you wear!" Heather looked me up and down with a impressed look on her face.

"Thanks, I need to get used to wearing these suits." I straightened my suit, feeling awkward all dressed up.

"It looks great on you! And you even wore makeup!" She beamed at me excitedly.

"I watched some video tutorials, and figured I should look presentable."

"Perfect! I can't wait for everyone to meet you! They're gonna love you." She said with a sly smile, "But remember, we don't know each other. People will do anything to have an internship here and if they find out you're my friend they'll get suspicious." Heather warned

"Okay, I got it." I felt very lucky and fortunate to be here.

Heather lead me out of her office, and announced to everyone we were to have a staff meeting. She called someone on her phone, and told them it was time for the meeting.

We all herded to the conference room, and I noticed Jin walking with our group. He moved up to the front, next to Heather. As we migrated into the conference room, I sat close to the front row, and anxiously waited. I bit my nails in anticipation of Heather introducing me, I despise public speaking. 

"Welcome everyone! I appreciate everyone attending this meeting. This will be brief and then we can all get back to work." Heather spoke with such confidence, as she addressed us. Despite her young age, she has always been good with public speaking.

"We have a couple of announcements to make. As your CEO of Sky Inc. I'm proud to introduce a couple of new members to our team. First up, we have our new intern assistant, Cora Lee! Cora please come up here and introduce yourself!"

Here we go.

I got up, and felt everyone's eyes burning into me. My hands felt clammy, and like there was a lump in my throat. I cleared my throat, and weakly smiled as I faced everyone.

"Hello everyone, I'm Cora Lee! I'm the new intern assistant. I will do my best and I look forward to working with you all!" My voice seemed a bit squeaky, but somehow I made it through my little introduction.

"Everyone welcome Cora! Thank you Cora."

I quickly went back to my seat, as people clapped for me. I glanced over at Jin, he was also clapping and had a smirk on his face.

Why is he even here for this meeting?

"Now most of you all know who Jin is of BTS, but today I'm here to also announce a new title for Jin. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the new Co-CEO of BigHit entertainment, Kim Seok-Jin!"
