(Overview type thing)

Its been a year since the accident, but its felt like 30 years. You have spent the last year mourning over the loss of your family. Felix and Ember have grown a lot. Probably because of the fact they are almost fully robot. Considering the fact their father was a robot and their mother is half robot. Felix has taken after his father. He has his golden eyes, and a toothy grin. Even though his father isn't around to talk with his pirate accent, he somehow still talks with a bit of a pirate accent. You think that it must have something to do with the robot part of him. Ember however, seems to follow more after you than Foxy. She has your E/C eyes, and watches you intently no matter what your doing. You're pretty sure that if these two weren't born, you probably would have killed yourself a couple days after the accident. Felix and Ember give you hope. Hopefully your family somehow made it through the explosion, and if they did you were determined to find them no matter what it took.

Over the past year, you have been keeping close tabs on the investigation as to why the pizzeria exploded. At first, they thought that it burned down due to faulty wiring. The bomb squad however, found remains of bomb scattered in the rubble. One thing they did not find among the rubble however, was your family. Only thing left that resembled them, was scraps of burnt clothing. That's all that was recovered. Just scraps. The recovery team gathered all of them and put them in a box for you. The box now sits on top of the kitchen cupboards, just so Felix and Ember don't get into them. (Those two get into everything). You are hoping that one day, you will have more than just scraps of clothing, but to have them back once again.

Your P.O.V

It's just a typical day. Wake up. Have a quick shower before Felix and Ember wake up. Come out of the shower to find Felix and Ember trashing your room. Bribe them with surgery cereal so they will leave your room so you can get dressed. Quickly clean and get dressed. Feed everyone. And finally send the kids outside so you get some time to yourself. You clean up the kitchen and then go sit down in the living room to relax. After ten minutes of relaxing, you hear the familiar 'Thunk' of the newspaper hitting the front door. After the accident you subscribed to the newspaper service so you could see if they found anything else about the pizzeria.

You slowly push yourself off the couch and wander towards the front door. You open the door and wonder how it's possible that your neighbourhood seems to be a scene from a movie. Everyone's lawn is a bright shade of green and each one is being mowed by an overly happy husband. The wives are either tending to the flowers on their front porch, or sitting on their deck rocking their babies. The children of the families are all playing happily with each other on the playground, which sits in the middle of the ring of happy houses.

A sick feeling crawls into your stomach as you realize you are an outsider among this neighbourhood. Your entire family is robots, and the household you live in is riddled with sadness. Sure, you have had happy times with Felix and Ember, but it would be so much better if your family was here. You quickly pick up the newspaper and head back inside, feeling tears brimming at your eyes. Last thing you want is your neighbours to see you have a mental breakdown.

You sit back down on the couch and wipe the hot tears from your eyes. You begin to open the newspaper but stop when you hear giggles and the pitter-patter of little feet running towards the living room. You smile as Felix and Ember burst into the living room and jump on you, tackling you with hugs. You grin as you start tickling them in retaliation, newspaper forgotten.

"What are you two little monsters doing?" You ask them both, grinning wildly.

"We just wanted to come give you hugs Mommy!!!" Ember says between giggles.

"Yes, we love ye Mommy." Felix says as piratey as he can while giggling.

You stop tickling them and look at the two of them laying down beside you. Both have huge grins on their faces and have sparkling eyes looking up at you hopefully.

"I love the both of you more than you could ever imagine. Now, both of you make sure your rooms are clean otherwise we won't go to the park later." You tell them grinning.

The both let our small squeals of terror, and roll off the couch and bolt to their rooms. You smile and pick up your newspaper and finally open it. Once again, nothing new about the pizzeria. You lazily flip through the paper until something catches your eye. You read the ad over and over again, the anger inside you growing each time.

Whoever's idea this was, they were going to pay greatly for it.
