Chapter 3- A Pleasant Surprise

(Is it bad that I had to re-read my own book before I could right this? I honestly forgot what happened in the last chapter that's how long it's been since I've written a chapter. Also that is @kaddence fan art of Felix and Ember. It's pretty cool right?)

Your P.O.V

One week after the meeting

"Mommy, when are we going to see that weird, creepy man again?" Ember asks you with a mouth full of supper.

"Tonight darling. Tonight's our first shift over at the new horror attraction. Mr. Everly should be there when we get there." You reply, dreading seeing him again.

"Why we be going there?" Felix asks, waving his fake pirate hook in the air.

"Because I have a job there during the night and the two of you will be coming with me."

"Is it scary mommy?" Ember asks, shaking a bit.

"The horror attraction? I don't think so sweetheart. I think you will find yourself more at home there, than here at home."

You realize what that means after you said it and sadness crashes over you. You hold back your tears as they threaten to fall. You are quite happy that Felix and Ember don't realize what you mean by that. But you know that one day soon they will know about the day they came home from the hospital.

"Mom, ye be alright?"

You shake yourself out of your thoughts as you look at your two children. They are both looking at you with a sad gleam in their eyes.

"What's wrong you two? You look like you are about to cry." You ask, setting your silverware down and walking around the table to them.

"Your sad Mommy. It makes us sad when you are sad." Ember whimpers, tears starting to pool in the corner of her eyes.

"Why am I sad Ember? I'm not sad." You say trying to comfort her.

"Ye be sad Mom. Ye have tears in yer eyes." Felix says, pointing at your face.

You take your hand and wipe your eyes. You pull you hand away and look to see it covered in glistening tears. You look back to your kids who are looking at you sadly. Ember reminds you of yourself. All those months, crying yourself to sleep because of Allen. You make yourself a promise to never let your children end up like that. You look over at Felix and are hit with another wave of sadness. He reminds you of Foxy. You blink away tears quickly, not wanting to make Felix and Ember sadder than they already are.

"How about you two go and get ready for tonight? Pack some toys and games in case you get bored. We are there for at least 6 hours or so and I don't want either of you getting bored." You tell the two of them, standing up and starting to clear the table.

"Ok!!!" They both say in unison.

You watch as they both scramble down from the table and rush towards their room, excited to be going to the attraction.

You laugh a little at their enthusiasm and then continue to clean up from supper. You quickly finish cleaning everything and head up to your own room to get ready for your first night at the horror attraction.

~Time Skip~

It's 11 pm and everyone is ready to leave and go to the attraction. Both Felix and Ember have a backpack full of various toys and games for them to play with. You have your purse filled with a couple of treats for them, and your uniform on as well.

"You two ready to head over to the attraction?" You ask, already knowing that they are completely ready to go.

"Yes!!!" They both practically scream at you.

"You two excited to go their?" You ask, wondering why they were so enthusiastic about going to the horror attraction.

"Yes Mommy. We've never been to a place like this before. This is something new for us." Ember says, spinning around in circles excitedly.

"This be a new game for us." Felix says, waving his pirate hook in the air.

"Alright then. Let's all go hop in the car and go over there." You tell the two of them, walking over to the front door as you do.

You hear excited footsteps following you and the second you open the front door you see two little bodies zip by you. You let out a small chuckle as you watch Felix and Ember climb into their car seats and buckle themselves up.

You realize that most 1 year olds can't do what Felix and Ember can do. Thankfully though, you figured out why they are so advanced for their age. They are mostly robot. You guessed that it must have affected how fast they learn things. Which makes sense because generally robots are very smart. Sadness creeps into you again as you remember that your children are robots because your family is robots. You shake the sad thoughts out of your head not wanting to have a tear stained face when you arrived for your first night at work.

You walk over to the car and climb into the drivers seat. You buckle yourself up and start the car up. You look in the back to see Ember and Felix practically bouncing in their seats. You smile as you back out of the driveway and head towards Fazbear's Fright.

~Time Of Skip~

You arrive at Fazbear's Fright with two kids who are pretty much vibrating from excitement. When they see the dimly lit attraction, they start squealing in the back from excitement. You let out a small laugh as you pull into a parking spot not too far away from the front doors. Felix and Ember almost jump out of the car seats and open the doors, hoping out and running to each other excitedly. You smile as you shut the car off and climb out of the car yourself.

You look over at Felix and Ember, jumping up and down excitedly letting out little squeals of excitement.

"You two don't seem very excited to be here. Why don't you two stay in the car and sleep while I go inside and work?" You say smiling, knowing. That they will probably freak out.

"NO!!! WE WANT TO GO IN MOMMY!!!" They both yell together.

"Then let's go inside them you two. But you better be on your best behaviour ok?" You tell them.

"We will Mommy. Can we go inside now?" Ember says with a big smile on her face.

You nod and they both let out squeals and rush over to the front door. They both pull on the door together to discover it's locked. They turn to you with heartbroken faces.

"It be locked Mom. We can't be getting in." Felix says sadly, head hung.

"Well, let's try knocking. Se body needs to be inside to let us in." You tell them both, walking over to the door.

You see them looking up at you hopefully as you reach your hand out and knock loudly on the door. Nothing happens. You go to knock again but the door opens to reveal a young male.

"Are you Y/N the night guard?" He asks.

"Yes. I am Y/N. And who are you?" You ask, curious to know who he is.

"I'm Leo. Now, why do you have two kids with you?" He asks you, leaning against the doorframe and crossing his arms.

"These are my children. The boy is Felix and the girl is Ember." You say proudly.

"Hello Mister Leo. Do you work here?" Ember asks him, smiling and twirling around.

"Yes I do." He replies.

"Then where be your uniform then Lad?" Felix asks, raising his goon towards him.

"I'm not on shift right now. I'm just here to let your mother in for her shift and tell her a bit about the place." He says to Felix.

Felix nods and starts to peek inside the attraction. Leo blocks off the doorway with his leg when the two of them try to enter the pizzeria.

"These two aren't staying here with you while you work are they?" Leo asks, shifting around trying to block Felix and Ember from entering the attraction.

"Yes they are so you might as well stop trying to block their way in. They are not afraid of biting and climbing over people. So you would be better off to just let them in." You tell him, watching him struggle against the two of them.

"If you say so."

He steps out of the doorway giving Felix and Ember entrance to the place. The two rush in the second the path is clear and you can hear their happy squeals as they run around the attraction.

"You know it's not very safe for them in there right?" Leo tells you, looking into the dimly lit place.

"You'd be surprised at what those two can handle. They are tough little kids." You say, proud of your children.

"How old are they?" He asks, turning his attention back to you.

"They are both 1 year old." You say smiling. Knowing that he's not expecting them to be that young.

Surprise comes up on Leo's face as he hears how old they are.

"Are they actually a year old??" He asks surprised.

"Yup." You reply smugly.

"Wow. Advanced little kids aren't they?" He asks, impressed.

"Yup. Now, enough about my children. Was there anything you needed to tell me before I start my shift?" You ask, wanting to go and check out he place for yourself.

"Just a couple things. First off, the animatronic that they got for the place, isn't here tonight. It comes tomorrow." Leo says, looking around the parking lot.

"Animatronic? They got one for here?" You ask surprised.

"Yes. Which brings me to something else that you should know. You know Allen?" He asks, focusing back on you.

"I know an Allen. But I don't think it's the same guy." You say shivering, remembering what that guy and what's he's done to you in the past.

"Wait, did you meet with a Vincent to get your job?" He asks, rubbing his temples.

"Yes."

"Well, his real name is Allen. He doesn't like it so he calls himself Vincent because he thinks it's a better name." He tells you annoyed.

"Oh, alright. What about him? I thought he was suppose to be the one to give my introduction?" You ask, wondering what he has to do with anything.

"That's the thing. He went to go and see the new animatronic and nobody has seen him since. He's completely disappeared. Nobody can contact him and he hasn't contacted anybody either. There's been an investigation due to his disappearance, but the cops can't seem to find any leads. They are assuming he either left the country, or is lying dead in a ditch somewhere. Which leads me to why I'm the one giving you the introduction. I'm his son. If he is in fact dead, I gain possession of the attraction. So I'm pretty much the manager right now until they find him." Leo says nonchalantly, as if he could care less that his dad is gone.

"So Mr. Everly might be dead?" You ask excitedly, thrilled over the fact that you might not have to see his ugly face again.

"He probably is. I hope he is." Leo says with no emotion.

"For being his son, you don't seem to like him very much." You say, curious as to why he acts like that.

"He's not exactly the best dad. He's slept with so many woman it's insane. He also left me on my own for most of my life. My mother died giving birth to me so he was left to care of me. He rented an apartment  and hired a full time care giver for me so he didn't have to be their himself. He came around every day though. Just long enough to fuck her and then yell and beat me a little afterwards. He also had a lot of people out to get him. So it won't surprise me if he is actually dead. He deserves to be dead." He says, grabbing a piece of folded paper from his back pocket.

"Wow he sounds like my stepdad." You say glancing down at your watch, noticing that it's pretty close to midnight.

"The world is full of assholes isn't it? And here. This is a map of the place. And I know that you are already familiar with our security system. Since you worked at both the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzerias. It's pretty much the same thing. Except there's some ventilation and audio feed programs as well. I left a instruction book for both of them on the desk though for you. But I have faith that you will be able to figure everything out. Have a good night ok Y/N? I'll be back at around 6 am or so to relieve you of your shift." Leo says, handing you the folded piece of paper.

You reach out and grab the piece of paper from him. You open it and see a nearly drawn and labeled map on the paper.

"Did you make this yourself? If so you did an amazing job." You say, amazed at how nicely drawn it is.

"Yes I did. I have a thing for drawing and stuff. You have a good night. I better get home and get some rest." He says, fishing a pair of keys out of pocket and walking off towards his car.

You smile to yourself, happy that the bastard that hurt Leo was probably dead. Anybody who does that to a child deserves to be dead in a ditch somewhere. You turn around and head into the attraction, hearing Felix and Embers squeals of joy. You smile and close the door behind you, locking it as well. You walk off into the attraction, looking for children.

A/N
Holy shit. I need to write on long car trips more often. Over 2250 words. That's is amazing. Also, I'm officially done with holidays. Which means I will start updating my books again. But don't expecting me to update every book at once. That's just not possible. But, I will do my best at updating as fast as my little fingers can write. I love and missed all you Little Foxes. I look forward to writing for all of you again and I will see all you lovely Little Foxes in the next chapter.
