Chapter 26
*Audrey*
Everything was happening in slow motion. First Jackson shot the intruder as soon as he raised a gun. It was all so quick that it seemed in slow motion. My jaw dropped as Jackson towered over the man. Then another gun shot but where did it come from? I looked around then ran towards the door to see a man in all black holding a pistol. He was aiming at me. I quickly jumped out of the way and slammed the door shut. I looked around the room to see if everyone was okay but there was a problem. Not everyone was okay.
I ran towards Jackson who was clutching his stomach. His hand was already covered with blood and his eyes were pleading. He dropped to his knees and stared at me. "A-Audrey I..." Then he fell backwards, hitting his head on the wooden floor. His eyes were lifeless and his body was stiff. My eyes welled up with tears but I wiped them away quickly. My sadness turned to anger and I picked up Jackson's gun off of the floor. I stomped towards the door and opened it. The man was still there.
The man aimed his gun at me and I did the same to him. I stared at him for a long time before I quickly pulled the trigger. My aim was a little off but I still hit the man, the bullet blew through the man's chest. I continued to shoot the gun, as I walked forward, until I ran out of ammo. The man was dead before he hit the ground. I towered over the lifeless body then turned towards everyone. They looked like they seen a monster and they have. I was beginning to become a monster.
My eyes softened but they were still scared. I couldn't do anything about it. They saw a part of me that I didn't want them to see. It was my evil side, the one who even I was scared of. I looked at the woods then back at my friends. I was deciding which one to pick.
After a few minutes, I made my decision. They would never look at me the same. I thought before bolting towards the forest. I jumped over a log and changed to my wolf. "Audrey wait!" I heard a voice call, I shook if off and continued to run.
I wasn't going back.

*Ashley*
"Audrey wait!" I called but it was too late. She was gone. I looked at Zack and Adeline who were staring at the woods, Easton was doing the same.
"Zack why don't you follow her!?" I yelled at him. "Because honestly I don't care about her." I glared at him then tackled him onto the ground. I punched Zack hard in the face which made him pissed. He kicked me off of him, forcing me up into the air. I landed on my feet the ran after him again. This time I wasn't stopping, I was going for the kill.
I tackled Zack to the ground again. Swiftly, I rested my hand onto his neck and put pressure on it. Zack gasped for air as I put more and more pressure on his neck. "Ashley stop!!" Adeline screamed. I turned my head towards her and saw hurt. I let go of his neck and bit my lip. Zack kicked me off of him once again but this time he had a lot more force in it. I flew about 40 feet until I hit a tree. My head started to pound and soon enough Easton was right by my side. He looked so angry when he turned towards Zack.
Zack tried to apologize but I couldn't accept that. Nobody could. Even Adeline was pissed at him. Zack left the house for a while to let everyone cool down. I have to admit that it was a good choice to do that since we were all about to strangle him. Everyone was tense though. Everyone was worried about Audrey.
Jackson was buried in the back, along with the intruders by Easton who volunteered to do it. Apparently everyone else didn't want to, I know I didn't. So Easton did that while I cleaned the wooden floors. The blood was hard to get off but after an hour of scrubbing, it came off.
Finally I got up off of the couch and bolted out the door. Easton followed behind me. I jumped onto the Polaris four wheeler while Easton jumped onto the Kawasaki dirt bike. I started the engine and took off into the woods. Easton was following me and he knew what we were doing.
I have to find Audrey. I thought as I zig zagged around trees and shrubs. Even if it kills me, I have to know that she's okay. Before long we reached a beach, who knew, right? I scanned the sandy surface before finding a tan wolf resting in the sand. I walked up to it and quietly whispered, "Audrey?" The wolf turned towards me.
Oh shit.
