Chapter 99

"Am I too heavy?" Arthit asks as he peppers kisses across the back of Kongpob's broad shoulders.

Laying on his stomach with his head resting on his arms, Kongpob smiles contently. "No, but we should probably get ready soon."

"You could have just said I'm too heavy." Arthit chuckles, and pecks Kongpob's stretched shoulder blade one more time before he pulls out, and gets off of the massage table.

"I don't think I can ever look at a massage table the same anymore." Kongpob said as he slowly got up, swinging his legs over to the side. He can feel Arthit's cum seeping out.

"Hey, we both got happy endings, right?" Arthit winked as he wrapped himself in a robe. He took another one off the hook, and walked towards Kongpob.

"So cheeky these days. Come here." Kongpob spreads his legs wider to let Arthit stand between them.

Arthit is all too happy to comply, and wraps the robe around Kongpob. He holds it up for his boyfriend to slip his arms inside the sleeves. Once the robe is on, Kongpob wrapped his arms around Arthit's waist, and pulled him in for a kiss. Both smiled in between pecks, and rubbed their noses against each other.

"Are you still nervous? You don't have to answer anything you are not comfortable with. M has reviewed the questions ahead of time. So, I'm sure it won't be too invasive."

"I know. M told me that too. Does Sonya know about this?"

"Yes. Nothing escapes my mother. Also, she is a silent investor in OK! Magazine. That's why I picked OK! over the other magazines. I'm an investor for a few others, but I'm a known investor in those."

"So that's why you said you can control most of the media. Is that how all you rich snobs do it?"

"Of course. About 90% of the media in Thailand is controlled by six corporations. The truth is a version of what these six corporations say it is. Given that, sometimes the government will impose its limits, or assert their own interest into the general public. That's why, don't believe everything you see or hear."

"You rich snobs are scary." Arthit snickered.

"Well, you will be one too." Kongpob pushes Arthit back to get off the massage table. He takes Arthit's hand, and heads to the spa shower.

"I will not!"

Kongpob turns around, and cocked an eyebrow at Arthit, but he doesn't say anything. Maybe Arthit didn't catch the meaning behind that. He shakes his head, and continues walking to the shower.

"What?"

Yep. He didn't get it.

"Hello Gentlemen! My name is Ziya Sangportirat. I'm a senior journalist at OK! Magazine." A tall and young woman in a light grey pencil skirt suit got up from her seat to greet the two men that just arrived in the meeting room. Her long luscious black curls were pushed to one side, highlighting her elegant long neck. Her black rimmed glasses did little to hide the sparkle in her deep brown eyes. Ziya has just been promoted to senior journalist this past month. She can't believe she is getting this amazing opportunity to interview Kongpob Suthilak and his partner Arthit Ronajpat. She is so giddy inside, she might combust at any moment. Keep your cool Ziya. Keep your cool. Breathe. They are so handsome. Oh my God.

"Hello Miss Ziya Sangportirat. Nice to meet you. I'm Kongpob Suthilak, and this is Arthit Ronajpat."

Kongpob and Arthit both exchanged handshakes before each taking an armchair seat across from the young journalist.

"It's such an honor to meet you Mr. Suthilak. Before we start this interview, I would personally like to say thank you for your generosity. I was one of the few students lucky enough to receive your scholarship for Rangsit University. I don't know if I would have been able to achieve my degree if I didn't receive that scholarship. Truly, thank you."

"If you received it, then you've earned it. My scholarship requirements are very competitive, and strict. Not many can qualify, and many have trouble keeping it. So, you've earned it Miss Sangportirat." Kongpob smiled politely.

"Please call me Ziya. So, let's begin. Do I have permission to start recording?" Ziya asked, taking the recorder out of her bag.

"Yes." Kongpob looked at Arthit.

"Yes. That's fine." Arthit replied. He is trying his best to not fidget.

"Thank you gentlemen. So in the article, I will provide a professional introduction of each of you to the readers. Like your professional profile, and recent achievements. The basics that I do not want to waste your precious time on. So, I will jump right into the questions now. Most questions will be directed to both of you, unless I specify. And for the sake of clarity, please speak one after another. Let's start with Mr. Suthilak first, and then Mr. Ronajpat. Do you have any questions before we begin?" Ziya took a sip of water before beginning.

Both men shook their heads, and smiled.

Ziya: You are known to be a low key person. What prompted you to allow this interview?

Arthit turned to look at Kongpob. This journalist went straight to the point. He is anxious to see what Kongpob will say.

Kongpob: I usually keep my personal life exactly just that, personal. However, I can foresee a lot of speculations and noises due to my personal life. And I would like to use this opportunity to dispel any unnecessary gossip that may harm the people I care about the most.

Ziya looked up from her notes, and looked pointedly at Arthit.

Arthit: I'm a very private person as well. However, like my partner, I would like to eliminate as much unnecessary attention to us as possible.

Ziya: When you say partner, are you partners in a professional sense? Or partners in a romantic sense? Please elaborate.

Kongpob: Romantic. We haven't ventured into any direct business partnership at the moment. That may be something we can consider in the future. But right now, I'm working on a lifetime partnership.

What did Kongpob just say? What the fuck! Is he hearing things? Arthit swears a bomb just dropped. His eyes were about to pop out in shock. He looked at Kongpob who kept a straight face, and didn't look back at him.

Ziya: What about you Mr. Ronajpat? Do you have anything to add to that statement?

Arthit: Uh, I think a future business partnership with Kongpob would be a goal of mine. As of right now, BKK Engineers primary services are only in civil engineering, and we are currently indirectly subcontracted for one of Suth Enterprises projects. As for our current romantic partnership, we strive for a common goal.

Arthit turned to look at Kongpob who had a slight smirk on his face. Arthit wants to kick him on the spot. How can Kongpob do that while he is sweating balls?

Ziya: Right now, the biggest project in Thailand, and maybe even the whole Asia is the SuSus Project. Would you like to shed some light on this project? Do you foresee your personal relationship interfering with the project?

Kongpob: SuSus is well underway, and we've hit every key milestone. I'm well prepared for any hiccups that we may encounter along the way with every possible backup plan. Fortunately, so far we have not had any issues. As for my personal life, I do not see how it has anything to do with my professional life. My relationships in the past did not matter, so my relationship in the present and future should not either. I still run my companies with the best of the best, and I still put 200% of myself into my work. So, the answer is no.

Arthit: BKK Engineers is only a subcontractor for the SuSus Project, but we are very proud to take part in such a monumental project that will go down in history. I'm a new CEO, and I have a lot to prove to myself and the shareholders. Therefore, I cannot afford to let my personal life choices interfere with my work. I am dedicated to my work, and I owe it to those who support me, and believe in me. I will continue to do my best, and I do my best work when I'm happy professionally and personally.

Arthit turned to look at Kongpob who was beaming a megawatt smile at him. He can feel himself blushing, but even he himself is proud of his answer. He shyly looked away, and took a sip of his water.

Ziya: Mr. Suthilak, how do you feel about your number one bachelor in Asia title? Do you consider this as coming out to the public as gay? What do you think of the LGBT community?

Kongpob takes a second to think of the loaded question. He needs to be diplomatic, yet be true to himself.

Kongpob: First of all, I never gave much thought to the silly title. I don't know on what basis I was given such a title. But thank you to those who think I deserve it. I'm flattered. As for coming out, I never knew I was in hiding in the first place. I never came out saying I was straight when I was dating females, so I don't necessarily see this as me coming out now that I'm dating a male. As for the LGBT community, I have always been a believer of free will, and that includes the right to love freely, and be treated equally.

Before I came here, I had a goal in my mind, and that is to set people straight, that my personal life has nothing to do with my professional life. However, I would like to correct myself right now, right here. SuSus is not only a project to me. I would put my life on the line for SuSus. And that is because it is bigger than me. What it stands for, and what it represents is bigger than life. Sustainable living is a future we must strive for. It's one step towards the right direction. We can't continue to exploit, and exhaust all our resources like we have in the past. SuSus is the right step towards a better future. It may not be perfect, and I hope those that come after SuSus will be even better and greater. I'm not afraid of being overshadowed. I welcome it. People need to realize there are consequences to our actions and choices we make everyday. We can't be stuck in our old ways. Accepting change is good if it is in the right direction.

And that is also how I see the LGBT rights. We need to be more open and accepting because that is also the right direction towards a better future. It's not simply tolerance, but true acceptance. Why would we not want more people to be happy being themselves? What can anyone gain from interfering with other's lives? I'm not well versed in all the different labels that are out there, and I don't think I need to be. To me, everybody is just another human being. Everyone has a common goal to pursue their own happiness, and that should be everyone's given right. So, those who work with me, and believe in me should also know that I stand for a better future in all aspects of life.

Arthit had to hold back his tears. He has never been an advocate for the LGBT community himself despite being gay. Because sometimes, it's just easier to live life being quiet, and staying away from controversy and judgement. However, his love and respect for Kongpob is now immeasurable. Kongpob is so brave.

Kongpob grabbed a tissue from nearby, and passed it to Arthit. Then he reached for his hand. They had originally planned to stay very professional, and composed with no physical contact. But right now, Kongpob is holding back from pulling Arthit into his arms.

Seeing both men like this, Ziya is also very touched. She looks away, taking a deep breath, and then takes a sip of water before continuing.

Ziya: Mr. Ronajpat, what does it feel like dating the number one bachelor of Asia? Do you consider this as you coming out to public as gay? And what do you think of the LGBT community?

Arthit puts down the tissue, but continues holding Kongpob's hand. He felt Kongpob's thumb caressing his knuckles as support. Arthit smiled at Ziya.

Arthit: I feel pretty good about dating the number one bachelor of Asia. There's a lot of perks like flying in a private jet. But the best thing about him, is that he's an amazing person. And he makes the best coffee. I'm so addicted. I secretly suspect there's crack in it, but I haven't caught him yet. As for coming out, no. I'm openly gay. I've never hidden this fact. People around me and at work know this too. I've not asked for anyone's permission or acceptance to be gay. I am who I am. Those who accept me stayed in my life, and those who don't can choose to be out of it. I support the LGBT community. They've made a lot of progress, but there's still a long way to go. My views align with Kongpob's. Tolerance is a permissive attitude towards our differences. Acceptance is where we can acknowledge our differences without prejudgment, and without making special efforts. Like choosing our favorite colors. Those who like blue don't hate those who like red. These choices have nothing to do with one another. I know I'm over simplifying things, but I'm just trying to get my point across.

Arthit feels his heart racing from his nerves. He is shaking in his seat. He has never said so much on this topic that's so close to his heart. He wants to hide, but he can't. He needs to remain calm in his seat.

Ziya smiled at the couple. She can feel the love and support they had for each other. It's so beautiful.

Ziya: So, tell me something romantic about your partner.

Kongpob smiles excitedly at Ziya.

Kongpob: Arthit is a really good chef. I choose eating his food over any Michelin star restaurant any day. He makes the best French Toast. His cooking truly is amazing, and he tailors everything to my sensitive stomach. One day, I happened to find a notebook in one of the kitchen drawers. Inside the notebook, he marked down every dish he made with little comments of how much spice to put in so I don't get heartburn at night. He also has recipes printed out with perfect occasions to make them. To me, that's romantic.

Arthit swats Kongpob's hand away from him. He wants the floor to swallow him right now. He knows he looks like a tomato. He can literally feel the flush. How the hell did Kongpob find his notebook? Why was he even digging around in the kitchen? It's so embarrassing.

Kongpob chuckled seeing Arthit's embarrassed and fuming face. He knows he is going to get it when they get home.

Arthit calms down a little, and sits back while avoiding Kongpob who's rubbing his arm.

Arthit: Well, like I said earlier. Dating the number one bachelor has its perks. My first time in Tokyo was a complete disaster. I was so disappointed by that trip. When my company sent me there for work, it was a last minute thing, so I had no plans to see the city. Plus, I really had work. However, someone here got the wrong message, and thought I wasn't coming back to Bangkok anymore. So he flew all the way to Tokyo to hunt me down. Then when he finally found me, he gave me an amazing tour of Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, and Kobe. He erased all my miserable memories of Tokyo.

"I would do it again." Kongpob said, looking at Arthit.

Ziya is squealing inside. Oh my God. This kind of love exists. Where the hell is her Prince hiding? She wants to go to Tokyo too. The two men are all hearts eyes staring at each other. Okay, just one more internal squeal. Ahhhh!!!....That's it. Calm down. Must stay professional.

"That's so lovely. Thank you for sharing your story. It's very inspirational. I will make sure this article is professional with just the right amount of personal touch. I will send you the final draft by Friday if not earlier. It's scheduled to go to print on Monday. The Entertainment Tonight special will air on Monday evening as well. Do you have any questions for me?" Ziya looked between the two men.

"You said Monday? So, that will be after Tycoon Chaiyut's Wedding then." Arthit stated with a confused look.

"Yes. We do not want to stir any controversy or steal the spotlight from the Tycoon Chaiyut's Wedding. The wedding is a two day ordeal. So on Saturday and Sunday, all news coverage will mostly be focused on the wedding. However, once that's over. The frenzy will start. So, that's why M chose Monday. Hopefully, this will beat most of the speculations, and stop any rumors." Kongpob explained.

"Okay. That makes sense. We definitely don't want to mess with Tycoon Chaiyut's Wedding." Arthit nods.

Ziya smiled, and gathered her belongings. "It has been a privilege to meet you two. I wish the best of luck to both of you. Hopefully, I will have another chance to interview you two in the future."

"Thank you Ziya. It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope our paths cross again in the future as well." Arthit said, extending his hand.

"Yes, the pleasure was mine as well. Thank you for meeting us with such short notice. I'm glad you received my scholarship." Kongpob shook Ziya's hand as well.

The two men watched Ziya step out of the meeting room. The second the door closed shut, Kongpob immediately dashed to the other side of the room laughing.

"Come here! You sneaky brat!"

AN: Hi Sweets, my chapter got really long again. I hope you enjoyed it though. 😊

The statement about all news media being controlled by only 6 corporations is really the USA. I don't know about Thailand, but I'm sure media being controlled is not something new. So, please take everything with a grain salt and don't believe everything you hear from the news. There really is "Fake News."

Also, I've written another one-shot called My Sotus (III) - Chocolaty Lips based on the special scene in Sotus S. It's my third one. Please check it out if you haven't already. 🤗

Love you lots,
Lana ❤️
