Chapter 60
Kongpob and Mild stayed at the park, and talked a little bit more. Reminiscing the past, and what has happened to both of them in the past ten years. They have both found peace with their past, and a bittersweet goodbye to their first love.
"You should pay her back! She might hunt you down now that she knows you are in town." Kongpob laughed.
"I have missed her too, but she has to promise not to slap me first." Mild giggled.
"Yeah. She talks big, but she cried too when she couldn't find you. I know she would really like to see you."
Kongpob and Mild headed back to the car. Upon reaching the vehicle, Thak quickly ended a call, and walked over to open the door for them.
When Kongpob got inside, he saw his phone blinking indicating messages. So, he checked his phone. There were four missed calls from Nina, and twenty two texts between Nina, his mother, and Arthit.
He click on his mother's texts to let her know he is heading home. Then he did the same for Nina's line of texts. He didn't bother to read the content of any of their texts. He figured they were going to be more or less the same.
Then he opened Arthit's texts.
Messages:
Arthit: Kongpob are you at the restaurant yet?
7:15 pm
Arthit: Are you having dinner with Mild yet?
8:33 pm
Arthit: You can't even spare a minute to reply?
8:45 pm
Arthit: If you don't come back by 10:30pm, I'm wrecking the Ferrari.
8:47 pm
Kongpob chuckled, and checked the time.
"What's so funny?" Mild asked looking at Kongpob smiling at his phone.
"My boyfriend says he is going to wreck my Ferrari if I don't get back by 10:30 pm." Kongpob said without looking up to see a surprised Mild.
"You have a boyfriend? Like a romantic boyfriend?" Mild asked for clarity.
Kongpob looked up this time sporting a goofy smile. "Yes, I have a boyfriend that I'm romantically involved with."
"Huh? I didn't know you liked men." Mild smiled.
"Neither did I until I met him." Kongpob stated nonchalantly.
"Well, as long as you're happy. That's all that matters." Mild said as she nodded her head to herself.
"Thak, please make a stop at the marketplace on the left side after the bridge."
"What did you need from the marketplace?" Mild asked curiously.
"The best mango pudding. My boyfriend really likes the mango pudding from Mae Yui's fruit stand. Just wait here. I can get you one too."
Kongpob jumped out of the car before Mild could reply. Mild is highly amused with Kongpob's behavior. It reminded her of the boy he once was, and not the cold man from earlier. She is happy to see that Kongpob has found happiness even if it's not with her. Her time is about to run out, and she wants to see as many smiles as she can before she leaves.
Be happy Kong.

"Mae Yui!" Kongpob called the woman with her back to him.
"Hey handsome! Good to see you again. What was your name?"
"I'm Kongpob."
"Yes! That's it, Kongpob! I will remember for sure next time. Please forgive me, there's just so many people everyday, but I remembered your handsome face." Mae Yui said winking at Kongpob.
Kongpob chuckled. "Do you still have mango puddings?"
"Yes, I still have a few. How many do you want?"
"I want three please."
"One extra this time. Here, take a dragon fruit too." Mae Yui quickly bagged the three mango puddings, and a giant dragon fruit.
"I'll pay for all of it." Kongpob said.
"No, I give the dragon fruit to you. No charge. It's too overripe to sell any longer, but it's still good to eat right away. You should eat it with the mango puddings."
"Mae Yui, I'm going to feel bad for coming if you keep giving me free things." Kongpob said as he handed money over.
"Don't speak nonsense. I'm just giving you insignificant things. You have to keep coming to see me. Bring the other Mr. Handsome next time. I will give you double freebies." Mae Yui said happily.
Kongpob had a good laugh, and promised to bring Arthit next time.
On his way back to the car, his stomach growled. He hasn't had dinner except for the chocolate ice cream cone. So, he took out his phone ready to call his boyfriend. Maybe he wouldn't mind going out for a late night snack.
Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring.
"Hello. Are you the owner of this phone?"
Kongpob was surprised to hear someone else's voice other than Arthit's.
"Ugh, yes. May I ask where did I leave my phone?" Kongpob asked.
"This is Attitude at the Avani Riverside Hotel. You left your phone on the table. You can retrieve your phone at the front podium with the host. We will be open until 1 am tonight."
"Thank you. I will be right there." Kongpob ended the call and got in the car.
Kongpob had dropped Mild back home before going to Attitude to pick up Arthit's phone. He wondered if Arthit even knows he had left his phone there. After what had happened today, all Kongpob wanted to do was go home, and curl up with his boyfriend. But now his mood has worsened.
Kongpob is beyond annoyed. He is still sad about Mild, he is now disappointed with Arthit, and he is fucking hungry. He also has to make a trip to the other side of the river to get to Attitude. Ugh!

When he got to Attitude, the manager was at the front podium. The manager said he recognizes the owner of the phone, and said it wasn't Kongpob.
"Sir, I'm afraid I can't let you take the phone. You are not the owner." The manager said snarkily.
"I came on behalf of the owner. Please hand over the phone. I have no reason to lie." Kongpob was getting irritated. He's tired and hungry at the moment.
"I need proof sir. I can't just give the phone away to anyone without proof." The manager said.
Kongpob pulled out his phone to look for a picture of Arthit. He doesn't have a decent picture of Arthit where he just posed normally for the camera. He only had a few pictures, and they were all candid pictures he took of Arthit when he thought he looked cute or funny. There were two that weren't too decent for showing. So, he opted for the cute ones.
Kongpob showed the manager the two cute pictures of Arthit pouting, and then the man finally agreed to let him take the phone. The manager looked at Kongpob oddly, and was still suspicious. He had made sure Kongpob signed a release form before handing the phone over.
When Kongpob returned the form with his ID, Kongpob smirked at him. The manager looked at the form and the ID, and froze instantly. All shades of fear was visible on his face. He can't believe it was Kongpob Suthilak that he doubted. This was the billionaire bachelor that they were supposed to host this evening. The man can buy their whole damn hotel at a snap of his fingers, and he could be out of a job by tomorrow. He quickly tried to explained it was all just protocol, and he absolutely believed Kongpob.
Kongpob walked away annoyed. He needed sustenance before he went home to turn that damn tiger back to into a kitten.
Kongpob was so hungry that he made Thak stop by KFC for fried chicken. He was so hungry, and annoyed that he ate the greasy finger licking good chicken in the car. That's something he has never done before in a suit, or in his car.

By the time Kongpob made it home it was almost midnight. It was way past the so called curfew that Arthit had imposed on him. Today has been emotionally and physically draining for him.
The moment he stepped foot in the house, Arthit jumped up from the sofa looking at him. Arthit was already in his pajamas.
"Kongpob! You're home." Arthit sounded nervous, yet his big round eyes looked excited. He is so glad Kongpob is back. Thak had texted him when Kongpob and Mild left the park, but that was almost two hours ago.
"So did you wreck my Ferrari like you said you would?" Kongpob asked casually as he took off his shoes, and put down the bag of mango puddings.
"What Ferrari? What are you talking about?" Arthit was confused.
"You had sent me a text telling me that I better be home by 10:30 pm. Well, it's midnight now, so you must've wrecked my Ferrari then." Kongpob walked over to the kitchen for some water.
"I have never sent such a text." Arthit looked around for his other phone. He walked around, but he couldn't find it around the living room. So, he went to their bedroom looking for his phone. He came back out momentarily still searching, and then he headed to the kitchen.
When he got there, he saw Kongpob holding his phone up in one hand, while he drank water from a tall glass with his other.
"Oh, there it is. Did I leave it on the counter?" Arthit asked as he walked over, and grabbed the phone out of Kongpob's hand.
"No, you didn't leave it on the counter. You left it at Attitude." Kongpob said as he placed the now empty glass in the sink, and walked away from the kitchen.
"But you didn't go."
