Chapter 40
Sunday - Tokyo --> Bangkok
Kongpob woke up with an arm around his waist. He turned to see a sleeping Arthit sharing his pillow next to his shoulder. He looked to his left to check the time, and it was already 8 am. So, he gently tapped Arthit on his shoulder to wake him. However, instead of waking up, Arthit just snuggled more into his side.
"Arthit, it's time to wake up."
Arthit made some whining sound, and just rocked his body a little.
"Arthit, let's get up. Do you still want soufflé pancakes?"
"Five minutes. Five more minutes." Arthit mumbles.
Kongpob found this sleepyhead very cute and amusing. Kongpob has never seen this side of Arthit. For the past two nights that they've shared a bed, Arthit was awake first. So, this is something new for him.
"Arthit, I'm naked."
Arthit shot up instantly taking the bed sheet with him, and revealing a very naked indeed Kongpob. Kongpob didn't feel shy even for a bit, and just looked at Arthit's sudden reaction with amusement.
Arthit looked lost, and blushed like a tomato. His disheveled hair, and the slight drool on the corner of his mouth made him look beyond adorable in Kongpob's eyes.
"Kongpob. Why are you naked? Cover yourself."
Kongpob smirks, and raised an eyebrow at him. Really?
Kongpob leaned closer to Arthit, and whispered, "do you really want me to cover myself?" And then he nipped at Arthit's red earlobe before giving it a light peck. Hey, the tiger has turned back into a kitten. The shy Arthit is back everyone.
Kongpob got out of bed chuckling, and walked to the bathroom in all his naked glory. Not minding that a pair of eyes followed his every step.
Arthit touched his kissed red ear melting in his spot. Kongpob sauntering his naked ass and family jewels into the bathroom made his dick hard. Flashes of last night's activities played in his head. He doesn't realize it, but he is grinning like an idiot. Fuck! It was hot. It was even better than how he had imagined it. When can I do that again?
Hearing the water run from the bathroom, he quickly pulled himself out of the gutter. He got up to get his clothes to go shower and change. As he passed by the mirror in the room, he face palmed himself at his own reflection. His hair is sticking out all over the place, and there's dried drool on the corner of his mouth. He should be thankful that his nose is not bleeding like they do in animes.
Arthit cursed to the gods. Why does Kongpob wake up all smoking hot, and he wakes up like a slob? Maybe I should just sleep nude too he thought to himself, but then quickly banished that idea. He knew he would look exactly the same, but just naked showing his over excitement making him even more embarrassed. Ugh. Life is not fair.
When both were ready, Aki drove them to a popular Japanese pancake house for breakfast. Arthit loved every bite of his matcha soufflé pancakes. Kongpob however insisted that Arthit's french toast were better. Arthit had to just roll his eyes at Kongpob.
"Kongpob, how about this? I will look up the recipe for these soufflé pancakes, and try to make them for you before I leave? Since, I didn't sign the lease for the place I was intending to on Friday, I might have to keep looking. And even if it's still available, I will probably still take a couple of days to move out. I hope that's okay with you. I.......blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah......."
Kongpob didn't really hear anything after the word 'leave' out of Arthit's mouth. Honestly, he didn't know Arthit had found a place to move. It's all news to him. And now that they are together, Arthit still wants to move out has crushed him. Well actually, are they together? His heart dropped to his stomach, and he has suddenly lost his appetite. Did giving all of himself not mean anything to Arthit?
"Kongpob. Kongpob. Are you okay? Why do you look so pale? Here, have some water."
"Uh, thanks." Kongpob took the glass of water from Arthit, and took a sip.
Kongpob looked to Arthit as he continued to eat and droned on about what he has to do when he gets back to Bangkok. All this time, not a single word about whether he plans to keep seeing Kongpob, or what their relationship is now.
Maybe this really was just a trial period for Arthit, and Kongpob wasn't his cup of tea. He never forced himself on Arthit. He waited for Arthit to come to him. Last night, he left it up to Arthit to choose what made him comfortable. He thought seeing how much Arthit had wanted him last night meant that their feelings were mutual.
Kongpob tried to pretend he was all right. He had given Arthit the choice to choose, and he should respect that. If they can't become lovers, they can at least still be friends. See, even when Arthit is about to leave him, he still wants to make pancakes for him. So, they can very least be friends. That thought right there only made Kongpob's heart ache more.
When Arthit was finally done eating, he put his silverwares down. He suddenly noticed that Kongpob has been pretty quiet for the past twenty minutes. Kongpob had only finished half his pancakes. That's a shock in itself as Kongpob usually ate for two or three people easily. Kongpob was looking down at his hand holding the cup of coffee.
Arthit didn't know what was wrong. Maybe Kongpob is not feeling well, but he seemed fine a moment ago. Arthit reached his hand to touch Kongpob's forehead, but the latter flinched at his touch.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, I just wanted to check if you're okay." Arthit said with concern in his eyes.
"Eh, it's okay. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Are you done?" Kongpob pointed to Arthit's empty plate.
"Yes, I finished it all. It's delicious. I'm sure Bangkok will eventually have a place that will make these, but until then I will try to make them myself. Kongpob, why didn't you eat yours? Are yours not good?"
"Uhm, they're fine. I just don't have an appetite for it right now. Let's go if you're ready."
Arthit nodded and got up walking pass Kongpob. He is just glad that Kongpob wasn't running a temperature. He mentally noted to himself to make some soup when they get back home to help Kongpob's upset stomach.
Aki drove the men to the airport where Kongpob's jet was waiting. After the men bid Aki farewell, they made their way home. Arthit was again amazed at the luxurious accommodations onboard. It was much bigger than being in the helicopter, and even more steady. There was one male and one female flight attendant on the flight with them. The male's name was Ash, and the female was Vee. Vee was very friendly. She was especially friendly to Kongpob.
Throughout the flight, Arthit had trouble engaging Kongpob in any conversation he tried to strike up. Kongpob only gave one word answers to any questions he asked. Something was off, but Arthit didn't know what. He chalked it up as Kongpob not feeling well.
Their flight was over six hours, and at some point Kongpob fell asleep. Arthit wanted to get up to place a blanket over Kongpob, but Vee beat him to it. She even tucked him in on the sides while smiling at Kongpob's sleeping form. Arthit was annoyed. It's not like he can see you smile, is it even necessary. After Vee tucked Kongpob in, she turned to Arthit, and asked if he needed anything such as a blanket or pillow for himself.
Arthit politely declined Vee's offer. Arthit felt bad for feeling so negative towards Vee. She is probably just doing her job. He looked at Kongpob for a second, and thought to himself. Is he going to always feel this way about anyone coming close to Kongpob? Jealousy doesn't look good on him.
Kongpob may have cleared his worries about all those women around him, but what about the others that have yet to appear. There's always women trying to get his attention. This is why falling for a straight guy is a bad idea, and falling for Kongpob Suthilak must be the worst idea he has ever had. Kongpob has made him act and do things he has never done before.
Arthit turned to look at the peacefully sleeping Kongpob, and accepted the fact that there's no turning back now. He has fallen head over heels for Kongpob even before the latter came to swoop him off his feet, wining and dining him.
Arthit started planning in his head that he should bring breakfast for Kongpob to work in the mornings once he moves out. If Kongpob doesn't mind, he can drop it off at his office. He on the other hand does not want Kongpob to visit him in his office. Last thing he needs is to feed John more stuff to gossip about. Better yet, maybe he should just meet Thak outside the building so he can give it to Kongpob. He's sure Kongpob would appreciate the discretion about their new developing 'whatever this is' relation.
Looking at Kongpob, he sure will miss his mornings and evenings with him. The last three days has only made it even harder. A part of him wished that he can just stay with Kongpob, but that would be expecting too much, and a little too soon. In three weeks time, going from strangers to sharing a bed is already a record speed for him. Not that he really has much of a record. So he wanted to proceed with caution, and not just jump in with both feet.
Thinking about his impending move is bittersweet. This will be the first time he lives alone. Previously, when he had moved out of his parents' home, he moved to his friend's home, and then moved in with Chet. And even after Chet, he stayed with Kongpob. But now, he has to think about Popeye too. He needs to find a place for him and Popeye to call home. It's time for him to be independent.

Arthit woke up when the captain announced that they will be landing within the next forty minutes. Arthit turned to see Kongpob working on his laptop. He felt kind of distant to him. This Kongpob reminded him of their first day meeting when Kongpob was working in his limo, and he had nowhere to go. Kongpob came to his rescue like a knight in shining armor. And here he is right now still being Prince Charming.
Kongpob noticed that Arthit had awaken, and was now staring at him to the point it's hard to ignore. So, he turned to look at Arthit, and Arthit gave him the brightest smiles with dimples and all. His heart swooned at the sight. Maybe he is just overthinking. It's okay if he wants to move out. It doesn't have to mean that Arthit doesn't want to be with him. His heart hasn't been officially broken yet. Even though his heart still felt a pang, he wanted to stay positive. He returned Arthit's smile with as much happiness as he can muster.
