Chapter 25
Kongpob's POV
I woke up in the changing room alone. I shook my head a few times, and instantly regretted doing so. Where did Arthit go? My head is pounding. Damn. How much did we drink? I picked up the bottle of tequila to check, and barely a quarter of it was left. I guess this headache is well deserved.
Next to the bottle was a piece of paper.
Kongpob,
I need to go. Talk to you later.
Arthit
So, I guess Arthit had to leave. What time is it anyway? I checked my watch, and it's fucking 11am already. I've never slept in to this hour. Oh, fuck! I have a lunch meeting at 1pm today. I need to get out of here.
I quickly got up to make my way home to change, and get ready. As soon as I opened the door I ran into the hard solid back of Thak.
"Ooph!"
"Ah, I'm sorry sir."
"Why are you standing here Thak? My head is killing me already."
"Guarding you sir."
"Forget it. It's okay. I need to go home and change for a meeting."
"Yes, sir. This way to the car."
I followed Thak to the car, and made my way home.
"Thak, did you see Arthit?"
"Yes, he left around 8am this morning to go to the office."
"Oh, why didn't he wake me?"
"I do not know sir. He was in a hurry though. Luke gave him a ride to the office."
"That's fine."
After I freshened up, I quickly headed out for my meeting. Today I'm meeting with a potential investor for the hotel I'm building. They are willing to put in a good chunk of money to be a part of my project, but I need to make sure their vision aligns with mine. I can't let a little money undermine my goal of building a future of sustainable living. If my project succeeds, it will show others the possibility of having a much more eco-friendly society where profit does not have to be compromised.

The meeting went well. Although, there's still a lot of details we need to iron out, I'm happy we share a common goal.
My head is still pounding despite taking painkillers. I hope Arthit is faring better than I am. After all, I'm the one who introduced him to tequila. I can't believe we got so carried away, and drank so much.
I leaned back in my office chair, and closed my eyes for a little rest. I need to be in another meeting in 30 minutes.
He kisses me. Nipping and licking my lips. Slowly pushing his tongue in my mouth. I opened up to let him taste me while I tasted him. Our tongues tangled, and our mouths fused together.

Knock. Knock. Knock.
I woke up to the persistent knocking on my door. I pressed my temples in an attempt to ease my headache.
"Come in."
"Mr. Suthilak, your guests are waiting in the conference room. Also, I have messages for you. Would you like to hear them now or later?"
"The guests are waiting, so I will hear them later. Give me a minute, and I will be there. Please make sure all the guests are comfortable."
"Yes, Mr. Suthilak."
"Thank you Neen."
Once, Neen closes the door. I get up from my chair to go put my jacket back on. I felt weird, so I looked down to find myself a little too excited. What the fuck? I was just dreaming. Who the hell was I even dreaming about?
I don't have time for this. I'm not a fucking teenager anymore. I need to fix this right now. Think about who do I hate? Chet. Yes. I hate that asshole.
Chet.
Chet.
Chet.
Much better.
~~~~~~
After the meeting, it was already past 5pm. I can't believe I've made it this far into the day with my hangover. I go back to my office, and Neen is in there waiting for me.
"Yes, Neen?"
I walked over to my computer, and slumped on my chair.
"Mr. Suthilak, are you okay? I've never seen you like this? Are you sick?"
"No, I just had a little too much to drink last night. So, don't mind me."
"Oh, alright. In all my years working here, I've never seen you hungover."
"I usually have much better self-control. Anyway, what do you need?"
"Oh, yes. I just wanted to give you your messages before I leave for the day."
"Sure. Go ahead."
"First, HHC's Mr. Chang wants to discuss about switching the lead architect for the SuSus Project. He says he knows a better candidate."
"No, I didn't spend over six months making my final decision to do it all over again just because his nephew wants in."
"Next, Mr. Janngeon from Siam Polymer said the board meeting for next month has been rescheduled per your request. I've updated your calendar already."
"Good."
"Ms. Davika says she wants to schedule something this week or next to discuss about attending PFW. I can move things around if you agree to meet with her."
"Tell her I have no time to meet. Look at the PFW schedule. Make me available for only two days of the event. Give her that time. Tell her I will meet her there."
"Mr. Arsalprakit from GMM wants to discuss about increasing the budget for the new production."
"Tell him to send me the new budget request. I'll review it, and then decide."
"The last one, Ron is leaving for Tokyo, and he said he won't be back."
"Who's Ron? Did he give a full name or company?"
"No, that's all he said."
"Hmm, I don't remember a Ron. That's alright. I'm sure if it's important whoever he is will call back. You can go home now."
"Yes, Mr. Suthilak. Hmm, maybe you should call it a day too sir. You don't look too good."
"Thanks for your concern. I will go soon."
Neen left soon after, and I went to take off my jacket to get a little more comfortable. I probably should leave, but I wanted to wait for Arthit too. It's only 6pm, and he usually doesn't come upstairs until 8pm. I might as well get some more work done so I can free up my weekend. When will this stupid headache go away?
"Who is flirting with me? Who wants to flirt with me?"
"Me. Flirt with me. You flirt with everybody, but me. All those models, that lady in red, the ladies at the market, Nina, and Davika. I want to flirt with you too."
"Okay, then flirt with me."
Ugh. When did I fall asleep? I got out of my seat to stretch a bit. I checked my watch, and it was already 9pm.
"Luke!....Luke!"
Luke comes running. Looking around for potential threats.
"Yes, sir! What's wrong?"
"Oh, ugh, nothing is wrong. Why are we still here?"
"Sir, I assumed it's because you have not decided to leave yet."
"Where's Arthit?"
"He has not come by sir. Would you like me to go check?"
"Let's go together. Let me get my jacket."
We went downstairs to floor 16. It was completely pitch black except the hallway lights, and the doors were locked. I haven't been to this floor since it was leased out. Even though I know most of my tenants, I don't really check on them.
It looks like Arthit isn't here. I pulled out my phone to call him. It went to his voicemail. So, I texted him instead. After waiting for a few minutes with no response, I left with Luke.
When I reached downstairs, Thak was already waiting. I picked up my step half expecting Arthit to be in the car already. However, when Thak opened the door to show it empty inside, I was visibly disappointed because Thak immediately said he wasn't able to reach Arthit without me asking.
I get in the car a little worried. For all of the past two weeks, Arthit has not once missed going home with me. I mean he is a grown man that can come and go as he pleases, but he's not the type to go without saying a word. Even this morning he left a note for me, so why wouldn't he say something now?
When I arrived home, I called out to Arthit as I entered the house. No one responded. So, I walked to his room, and I knocked a couple of times. Still no one answered, so I tried the door knob. It was unlocked. I opened the door to find the room dark and empty.
I took my phone out to call him again, and just as I was about to leave something flashed by his bed. I turned on the room lights, and walked over to the flashing source. It was Arthit's phone. Well, the phone I lent him that he refused to keep. So, this is why he hasn't picked up or responded to any of my texts.
Suddenly, I don't know what to do. Is he okay? He left his phone here. Did he leave it on purpose? I walked over to his closet, and there's noticeably less clothing in there since I just saw it yesterday. Not that he had much to begin with. I also noticed his small carry-on luggage was missing. He had kept all three luggages along the closet wall before. Where did he go? Why would he leave without saying anything? Also, why would he leave half his stuff here? None of this makes sense.
I left his room feeling an unknown emotion. I think I'm worried and sad. I'm not quite sure. I pulled my phone out to call Luke.
Ring. Ring.
"Hello sir."
"Luke, sorry to disturb you so late."
"Sir, please do not apologize. I am at your service at any time."
"Right. Ugh, today when you dropped off Arthit this morning, did he say anything?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary pleasantries."
"Okay. That's all then. Goodnight."
"Goodnight sir."
I proceeded to dial Thak's number. It only took one ring for Thak to pick up.
"Good evening sir."
"That was quick."
"All I can say is your call came at the perfect time."
"Sachi?"
"I rather not say. So, how can I help you sir?"
"I can't find Arthit. He left his phone, and some of his things are gone. I...I don't know if I should be worried or not."
"Sir, I will look into it. If he came back to take his things, then most likely he is not in any danger. Please get some rest, and I will keep you posted."
"Thank you Thak."
I hung up with Thak, and made my way out of Arthit's room. I went to my room to freshen up. I got in the shower, closing my eyes, I let the warm water stream down my body.
Images of Arthit up close flashes before my eyes. So close that I can almost taste him. I blinked a few times rubbing my face to clear my mind. What has gotten into me?
I kept my eyes wide open for the rest of my shower. When I was done, I felt my stomach growling. I just realized that I haven't eaten anything at all today. I had a few cups of coffee only. I'm really not in the mood to eat, but my stomach was angry with me. I went to the kitchen, and grabbed an apple. I forced myself to eat it, and then just went to bed. I tossed and turned all night, in and out of sleep.
Chup...nmg...nmg...chup
Chup...chup...nmg
His breath fans by my ear, "can you be mine?"
He continued to move his mouth down my neck, sucking and biting.
Shit! What was that? I looked around to find myself in the darkness of my room. I turned to look at the alarm clock, and it's only 3:34am. I ran a hand against my ear, and then down my neck. That was so real. I got out of bed, and went to check in the mirror.
I looked in the mirror, and I saw a faint mark on the crook of my neck. I didn't notice it earlier since my collar had covered it, and I wasn't paying attention.
What the heck happened? How did I get this? Did Arthit and I really kiss? I kept running through everything that happened last night, but I can't remember anything after we started drinking.
Last night, I remember before the fashion I was talking to the models there with Arthit. I'm a hundred percent positive that I did not go near them. I remember how I didn't like watching Jeanine getting so cozy with Arthit. I didn't think Arthit would be comfortable, but he seemed fine though.
I remember walking backstage at the end of the show, and having a few drinks with the models, but nothing beyond that happened. I went to check on Arthit at the after party. I met a guy from Paris for PFW with Davika.
Davika. Did I do something with her? No. Tell me no. No, wait I remember I left her to find Arthit. I saw him with another woman. She was all over him. I can't leave him alone even for a second, or else he would get eaten alive.
Ah, yes. I tricked the woman to wait for me outside. Then we went to my changing room. We ate and drank. Did someone else come in the room? Maybe I just bumped into something. I don't know, nothing makes sense.
I tried to shake off whatever crazy thoughts I have running through my mind. I headed back to bed for a night of fitful sleep filled with more strange dreams.
