Chapter 4: Michael
Michael:
"At least she made it safely to Earth."
I said as I surveyed the damage Elesia's impact caused to the earth.
"Shame it caused so much damage though. It was unavoidable, however."
Whenever an angel is cast out of heaven, they appear as comets in the sky and cause a lot of damage when try hit the earth below. The craters they create as they fall are what we consider to know as volcanoes. Another are large crevices in the land.
I looked at the scale and size of crater and was surprised. The expected scale was to be much larger, more destructive. However, the size of this one is much smaller than that a normal crater created by a fallen angel.
"The crater is smaller than expected. The destruction of the land is lesser than expected as well."
She must have fought back a little to make sure that she didn't cause too much damage to the earth.
"She's so kind-hearted."
I remembered the conversation between me, Gabriel, Jesus, and the creator in regards to Elesia. We knew that she's so kindhearted and innocent and though she committed a forbidden act, she did it out of love. And she was hurt badly on the inside. We still care for her.
So, the creator called upon me and Gabriel along with his son Jesus so we can decide upon what to do about and for her. The creator still believed in her. We all did. Especially me. She was able to calm me from those long years of bloodshed many years ago. So, we were shocked at what the creator had planned and decided to do about her.
Gabriel, Jesus, and I met with the Creator to decide on what we were gonna do about Elesia. I was the first to speak on the matter.
"What are we gonna do about Elesia?"
I looked at the others, waiting for their reply. It was Jesus who spoke.
"We should let her off with a warning. She only did what she did out of love."
Gabriel shook his head.
"She still committed a forbidden act. Though, she may have done it out of love, she denied Fate it's due. It's sad to say this, but she must still be punished."
"Gabriel!" I barked at him, frustrated in hearing him saying those words.
"You know this to be true, Michael. I don't want her to be punished anymore than you do, but she has to face the consequences of her action." He replied.
"She's one of us, Gabriel. She didn't help that man because of any personal reasons. She saw the goodness and love within him and that's why she saved him."
Jesus nodded in agreement.
"You're right Michael. But that man tore her heart with what he did to those people. The deaths of those innocent people lays heavily and crushed her. She doesn't deserved to be punished anymore."
I nodded. "She doesn't deserve this. We should be there for her instead of punishing her. She suffered enough."
"Enough."
We all turned to the creator who was sitting there, listening to us argue.
"I hear what you all are saying. And you're right. She's hurting more than you realize."
We all looked puzzled. Then we all felt a pain in our chest. We realized what the pain was. It was her pain.
"I can feel her pain from here. Though it pains me, Gabriel is right. She must face the consequences."
We all saw creator as they look down.
"She will be cast out of heaven and live for the rest of her life on Earth."
"Milord!" I exclaimed.
The creator puts up their hand and I was silenced.
"I'm not without mercy for my children. I will allow her to keep her wings. She will also not be alone on earth. I will have an angel keep an eye on her and protect and help her if she needs it."
The creator looked towards me.
"Michael, will you keep an eye on her? Help her if she needs it."
I nod. "It's not a question, milord. I'll keep an eye on her."
"Thank you, Michael."
Gabriel looked concerned, which infuriated me.
"Are you sure that's wise milord?"
"Yes Gabriel. I am sure in this."
We all looked down. We all didn't want this to happen but it must be done. We all turned towards the creator as they spoke. The creator surprised us by what they said next.
"There's one more thing that I will do because of the love and innocence. If she proves herself worthy, I will allow to become an archangel again and I will allow her to home again. She will be tested later."
I looked astonished. Gabriel did too. Jesus looked pleased. He was smiling.
"That's an excellent idea."
I nodded in agreement. "Indeed it is great idea."
Gabriel speaks up. "So we have made a decision?"
"We have made a decision." I replied.
"Let us proceed."
Shortly after that, we had her trial and I cast her out personally. I still wonder what this test will be. I just hope she proves herself and returns to heaven. It's a known fact that the earth can change angels as it has humans.
I spot a human male making his way towards Elesia. I kept my guard up in case he was planning to do something bad to her. I noticed that the human was looking at her, evaluating her. He checked her pulse and breathing to see if she was alive.
The human got up and looked towards the sky. For a second I thought he saw me, but he just looked back down at her. The human bent down and lifted her up and placed her on his back and began to carry her up the side of crater towards the weird machine called an automobile.
I looked on as he gently put her down and open the back of the vehicle and put it down. He gently lifts her up and and places her in the back. He closed the back and open a door on the vehicle and pulled out a weird cloth and placed it over her and tucked it under her.
I saw that the human placed his hand on her face. I was able to hear what he was saying.
"You're so beautiful." The human said softly.
My eyes widen. I wasn't expecting the human to say that. I zoom in and took a look at the human. I remember his face from before. When Elesia and I watched over the scene.
"Anthony Thompson." I murmured.
He was a good person. He was a little strict but he was kind. Elesia and I oversaw the event that took his wife Sophia. Elesia wanted to help her, but I stopped her. The fates deem it was her time.
But I remember the emotions that Elesia and I felt from him. It was utter sadness. Elesia cried for a week when Sophia died in his arms. He was a changed man. I oversaw Sophia watching over him with sadness in her eyes. He was planning to commit suicide tonight. Fate deemed it to not happen tonight, but I never knew how they were gonna thwart him.
So they used the light of Elesia falling to stop him. Who would thought that they have stop him before his time. I continue to watch him as he got back into his vehicle and slowly drove off. He made his way back into the woods and I followed him from above.
It was when he got a paved looking road was when he stopped and got out. He walked to the back and looked at her.
"What's he doing?"
I saw him nod and then got back into the truck and drove off again. The truck didn't stop until it arrive at a secluded building out in the middle of the woods that connected via a dirt road.
He pulled the truck into one of the buildings connected and stopped. I flew closer and lean at the side of the build he drove into. I watch as Anthony stepped out of the truck and put the rear down. He hit some button and a door to the build began coming down. I looked through the window of the door when it stopped at the ground.
I watched him grab her gently as he could and began walking through the house. I followed outside and saw him enter what looked to be a living room. He stepped up a set of stairs and I flew up keep track of his location. I noticed that there was no windows in the hallway.
I flew around the house until I spot Anthony again as he entered what appeared to be a bedroom. He placed her gently as he could on the bed and pull some sheets over her. He sat beside the bed and just stared at her. He didn't move to do anything bad which was a good sign. I noticed he was speaking in whisper to her. I had to concentrate to listen.
"You're so beautiful as an angel. You remind a little of Sophia, but I know you're not her. I don't know what you have done to be cast out of heaven, but you don't look dangerous, even you're are an angel. You're always welcome here and I'll do whatever I can for you."
He stroke her hair gently.
"You're a pretty angel."
I made my presence known.
"That she is."
He looked towards me and his eyes widen as I spoke again. "Thank you for taking her in."
He stuttered as he spoke.
"W-w-who are you?"
"I am the Archangel Michael. And I'm keeping and eye on her."
"You're the Archangel Michael? Why are you keeping an eye on this angel?"
"Because I was task to watch over her. She was recently cast out of heaven and has to live on earth for the rest of her life."
I point to him and gave him a stern look.
"I ask for your help in this. She will not really know much about this world and she'll need help. Show her the way and help her if she needs it. Alright?"
Anthony nods his head.
"I was gonna do that anyways. But may I ask you something? Why was she cast out?"
"That's is personal information that we can't disclose to you. But I will say this. She's a kind soul. She is a very innocent angel. In truth, she didn't deserve to be cast out of heaven. We had not choice in the matter. Her heart is shattered and now fragile. She may break down when she awakes. Must be there for her."
"I will." He said.
I nod. "I'll leave you now. I'll check in from time to time. Farewell."
I turn around and began to fly away but stopped and turn back to him.
"Anthony, Sophia told me to tell you if I see you that she still loves you."
I saw a tear pour down his cheek. "Thank you for telling me. Tell her that I still love her too."
I smile. "She already knows that."
I turn around fly off towards the Heavens.
Michael has reveal himself to Anthony. What will happen next? Don't forget to comment and vote."
