It was a pleasant day in the animal kingdom,kids running around the village square,merchants selling their goods and guards keeping watch on the outside walls.

Seemed that everyone was having fun,all except for one.
"Dad why can't I go outside?"a young girl asked as she looked out the window, "Just precautions ashley,you'll go outside another day i promise"he responded and gave her an apologetic smile before going back to his paper work.
Ashley turned to look at her father with an annoyed look"you said that last time,and the time before that"she said while heading over to him"why can't I go outside like all the other kids? You used to let me play before why not now?" She asked with crossed arms and a small pout.

The king sighed softly and rub his face with a tired expression"things have been hard sweetie,I just want to make sure you're safe and out of harms way"he said while ruffling her hair a bit,though this only made her whine and try to get his hand away.
"Here tell you what,I'll let you go outside but! You have to have two guards with you at all times"he said,seeing that there was no reason to argue with a seven year old.
Ashley gave a bright smile and nodded her head excitedly"okay! Thanks dad love you!"she shouted as she rushed out the door.
Her father smiled a bit before letting out a tired sigh and looked out the window "hopefully everything goes back to normal soon" he mumbled under his breath before turning back to his desk and got back to work.

Ashley ran out the castles gates with a bright smile and headed straight towards the village with two guards following close behind her.
"Slow down princess you might fall"a guard said as he looked down at the rocky road
Ashley rolled her eyes a bit and slowed down before spotting a nearby market "can I go get something?"she asked with a small grin.
"Whatever you'd like princess"the guard said with a slight nod.
Ashley giggled happily and quickly headed over to the shop.

Though the happiness was short lived as multiple explosions were heard throughout the village.
Panic spread like wild fire,people running left and right to hide and keep their loved ones safe.
As everyone was running to hide,a certain little girl was being rushed off out of the chaos and towards the castle.

Ashley was being carried away by a guard named Sam while the other (Nikki) stayed back to fight off whatever was attacking their peaceful village.
"What's happening?"Ashley asked and looked around at the chaos that was happening around her with a small frown.
"Nothing you need to worry about princess,what we need to worry about now is getting you back to the king"he muttered and rushed back towards the castle,shouting for the villagers to head towards the safe house near the east side of the village.

uddenly Sam started stumbling before falling to the ground with thud,taking Ashley down with him,

"Sammy?Sammy!wake up!"she shouted as tears started streaming down her face. Her arm hurt from the fall,Sam wasn't responding and some figures started getting closer to her,she couldn't tell who or what they were but she could tell she needed to leave. Now.
So she quickly stood up and ran as fast as her legs could take her,the figures followed close behind her and sadly they were getting to close for comfort.
"C'mon,c'mon this is stupid!"she shouted as she continued running and made a couple twist and turns to try and loose them but it only seemed to make the footsteps get closer until the suddenly stopped.
"I don't hear them"she thought to herself and slowed down a bit before looking around.

The screams distant screams and crackle of flames it was silent.
Then there was a small snap of a twig from behind her "Who's t-" and then there was only darkness.
