Entrance exam and Confrontation

Before this chapter starts, I would like to throw a shoutout to Snails4Lifee for their help on this chapter. Go say hi!

----------------------------------------------------------

(Asriel POV)

Standing in front of the gate, I faintly wonder if it's all real. Izuku snapped his fingers in front of my face. "Hey, Az, cmon or we'll miss the exam," he said. "A-ah, right, let's go!" I say walking towards the auditorium. As we were walking we talked about what kind of heroes we thought would be here, and I noticed a spiky blonde-haired boy glaring at us. I thought it was strange but shrugged it off, for now, they're probably just trying to intimidate other contestants.

When we made it to the auditorium, I noticed the spiky-haired blonde was staring again. Izuku looks really nervous, he never did like the spotlight. At that moment a blue-haired boy started yelling. "Excuse me, sir, but you said there were four robots but the brochure only said three. If this is a mistake, this is a disgrace to UA's name," he said. 'Well, that was extremely rude," I thought to myself. "And you, the green-haired boy-" 'What does this guy  have against Izu?!' I mentally shouted. "-if you aren't going to pay attention, you should leave this place at once! If you plan on slacking, then you don't deserve to be a hero!" he scolded.

'This guy's ticking me off!' "Hey! I don't know what you have against my brother, but you're the only one not paying attention! Not only were you being rude by interrupting the poor man, but you also accused someone you don't know of not paying attention?! You're the one not paying attention if you didn't read the back which clearly explains the final robot and point system! So quit being a hypocritical jerk and SIT DOWN!" I shouted. Luckily, before I could get any angrier, the announcer spoke up. "OKAY EXAMINEE 1763 AND 1711, LET'S ALL CALM DOWN! TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, THE FOURTH ROBOT GIVES ZERO POINTS AND IS JUST AN OBSTACLE SO JUST AVOID IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!" the announcer explained.

And with that, the exam continued without any more disruptions. Me and Izuku were separated into different exam sites to keep us from working with people we know. Izuku seemed to understand but I was kinda sad to not be with Izuku. We wished each other good luck and went to our exam sites. I waited at the entrance for it to begin and looked around at the other contestants. Some seemed nervous, some seemed excited, a few looked confident... oh look there's that blond creep from earlier.

"STAAARRRTT!" the announcer shouted. Welp, time to get this party started.

----------------------------------------------------------

~~~(Time Skip to 2 weeks later)~~~
The exam results finally came in! I have no doubt that we passed, but I'm worried they might turn us down because of me being a monster and Izuku being quirkless. Izuku might have forgotten how the humans treated him - something I'm grateful for sometimes - but I haven't. Not all humans are kind to monsters, and quirkless people are hated too. It may be a hero school with a zero-bullying tolerance policy, but that won't stop the looks and whispers. I know Izuku can stand up for himself, but I can't help but worry. I remember how he used to beat himself up because of how horribly humans treated him. I don't want to see him fall apart again, so I'll do my best to comfort him if this goes wrong.
Izuku and I opened our letters and decided to take turns, we decided that I would go first. I clicked the button on the top and a hologram appeared and a man with dark hair, a dark outfit, and a white scarf showed up. "Hello there, Asriel Dreemur, I am Shota Aizawa and I'm going to give you the results of your exam. You passed the written test with a 98 and got 140 points in the physical. You might think you got 90 points, but there was a hidden point system. When you helped the other contestants, you earned Hero Points. You got 50 extra points for rescuing and helping other contestants. I wanted to be the one to congratulate you on getting accepted into UA. You will be placed in the 1-A Hero course. Welcome to Your Hero Academia!" I was now crying with tears of happiness. I made it!
"Alright Izuku, your turn!" I said, buzzing with excitement. Izuku hummed in acknowledgment and pressed the button on his disk. A short animal creature showed up. "Hello there, Izuku Dreemur. Am I a dog, a bear, or a mouse? More importantly, I am the principal! Just call me Nezu. You aced the written exam with a perfect score of 100 and you got a total of 180 points. Being a hero is more than defeating villains, which is why we created Hero Points. You earned an impressive total of 100 hundred villain points, and an extra 80 points for not only helping other contestants but also saving an injured contestant from the zero pointer and taking her to safety." I felt a tad jealous that he scored higher than me, but I was just happy he got in.
"I am aware of your quirkless status, but I am proud to say that UA is not a biased school, we also have a zero-tolerance policy against bullying so let me know if you ever experience this. Honestly, I wasn't expecting you to be so well tuned at using magic due to being human, but I was beyond impressed when you showed that AMAZING display of overwhelming power. You'll be put in the 1-A Hero course, but I ask that you come to my office before class. You are not required to come, I am merely curious about your abilities seeing as your magic was limited to fire and healing, and yet you used some type of summoning magic that was not listed in your abilities. I can always just observe your training if you desire to not attend the meeting. Welcome to Your Hero Academia!" Nezu said with a smile that promised some sort of chaos, and the hologram disappeared so it must have finished playing the recording.
"So, it looks like we are in the same class. I hope the teacher is nice," I said with a bright smile. Finally, we made it into UA like we promised. We can be heroes together! Everyone was gathered behind the couch and cheered as soon as the recordings finished. Mom made a pie to celebrate our success while everyone else was praising us for making it into UA. Sans was talking with Izuku while I was getting a noogie from Undyne. "I knew you could do it punk, way to go!" Undyne cheered. As soon as Izuku was done talking with Sans and came back to the group, we were crushed by a bear hug from dad. "I am very happy for you boys. I'm glad you two have accomplished the first step to your dreams. I can't wait to see you two make it out there!" he said. We all celebrated until it was time to go home.
I wonder what the first day will be like.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My alarm rang and I jumped out of bed. I put on my uniform and locket and went to see if Izuku was awake. No surprise, he was still asleep. "TIME TO WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!" I shouted, jumping on his bed. "Urgh, what's got you so excited, Azzy?" he said, blearily. "It's our first day at UA, get up! Hurry up or we'll be late, Izu!" I said, dragging him out of bed. As soon as he hit the floor, his eyes snapped open and he scrambled to his closet to get dressed. I ran to the kitchen and ate my breakfast as quickly as I could. "My child, I know you're excited but you shouldn't eat so quickly," mom said. Izuku rushed into the dining room and ate his breakfast, only a little bit slower than me as not to choke.
As soon as we finished our breakfast we grabbed our bags and hugged mom and dad. "Bye mom, bye dad, see you after school!" I said, running to the door. "Good luck you two, see you two after school, and be good for the teacher," she called out as we were putting on our shoes. "We will mom, love you!" We shouted back. As soon as we closed the door we ran to UA as fast as we could. We arrived at the gate 30 minutes before class started and spent about 20 minutes trying to find our class. As soon as we made it to the classroom we stood outside the classroom for a few seconds to breathe from all the running it took to get here.
As Izuku and I were catching our breath, we heard yelling from inside the classroom. I opened the door to see the rude blue-haired boy from the exam and the angry pomeranian arguing with each other. "Get your feet off of that desk now!" Bluenette scolded. "Hah?" the pomeranian said with a smirk. "It's the first day and you're already disrespecting the academy by scuffing school property, you cretin," the bluenette explained. "You're kidding me, right? Did your old school put a stick up your ass?" the pomeranian mocked. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Tenya Ilda Tenya and I went to Somei Junior High School," 'Ilda' explained. "An elite huh? I'm gonna have fun crushing you," the pomeranian said. Ilda backed up, startled by the threat. "Crushing? How violent. Are you sure you want to be a hero?"
I closed the door, taking a moment to check the door to see if we were in the right classroom. Unfortunately, we were standing in front of 1-A. "This is gonna be one crazy class," Izuku chuckled. "Welp, I'm heading off to the principal, good luck," he said, walking off. I stood there in shock, 'Traitor!'  I yelled internally. How dare he abandon me with these crazy kids! I sighed in defeat and opened the door to the classroom. Too anxious to make a bad impression, I walked straight to the nearest empty seat and put my head down, hoping that no one would notice me. I was never good at socializing, that was Izuku's area of expertise.
A minute later a strange yellow caterpillar inched its way into the classroom. I stared at it in confusion for a few minutes before it turned over to look at me. The man with the dark hair from my letter stared back at me and I immediately turned my gaze towards the window, pretending I didn't see him. I was internally screaming and praying that Izu would come back soon so I wouldn't be alone with these weirdos. The caterpillar stood up and unzipped its cacoon to reveal that the yellow skin was actually a yellow sleeping bag.
He looked over the class and sighed. 'He looks tired,' I thought to myself. "It took you all 8 minutes to calm down and only one of you noticed me, we need to fix that," he said, looking at me. 'He saw me!' "My name is Shota Aizawa and I'll be your homeroom teacher. Put on these uniforms and head outside," he said. I made it outside before everyone else and stood there awkwardly, waiting for everyone else. "Dreemur-" I flinched, "-where is your brother?" he asked. "A-ah yes, he was asked to talk with the principal before class. He should be here soon," I explained. He nodded his head and continued to stare at me. I was sweating bullets at this point and decided to text Izuku about the situation to fill the uncomfortable air.
About 8 minutes later the rest of the class arrived and I sighed in relief that I was no longer the center of attention. "It took you all 10 minutes to arrive. By the time you arrived, the villain could have gotten away and many civilians would have died. You need to be faster than that if you want to be a hero," he scolded. As he was talking, Izu finally showed up in a gym uniform. 'Finally, I'm not alone with these crazy kids!', I thought, crying tears of joy. "I tried to make it as fast as I could, figured you wouldn't like being alone for too long. Looks like I was right," he whispered. At least he made it on time, I wouldn't have made it much longer on my own.
Aizawa noticed Izuku's arrival and hummed in acknowledgment. "I see that you finally made it, Dreemur. I was wondering when the principal would let you go. Glad you at least made it on time," he said in a monotone voice. Izuku smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry it took so long, sensei. He was really curious but I managed to convince him to just watch the test so he can see what I can use at the moment," Izu explained. Aizawa-sensei nodded his head and held out a ball. "Well, since you scored the highest on the exam, you're going to go first. I want you to throw this ball as far as you can and don't hold back. The only rule is that you have to stay in the circle," he said, handing the ball to Izuku.
Izu walked up to the circle and held the ball for a moment, then looked at me. "Hey Azzy, which one do you think I should use first? Red, orange, yellow, or blue?" he asked. I thought for a moment, "What type of magic does he want to see?" I asked. "Summoning. He was curious about what I did in the exam." Okay so Nezu wants to know how strong Izu is, now the real question is which magic would be suited for this. "Try throwing it with DT and then hit it with a bullet to increase the distance," I suggested. He nodded and engulfed his hand in a bright red flame and threw the ball with all his strength, creating a sonic boom. Right as it reached its maximum climax, he summoned a yellow revolver in his hand and shot a yellow bullet at the ball, sending it even further.
Aizawa pulled out a device and as soon as the ball touched the ground it let out a beep. He held up the device to reveal a score of 1700 meters. "Woah, we can use our quirks? This is gonna be fun!" A pink-skinned alien girl cheered. "Fun, you say? You have 3 years to become a hero, are you going to have an attitude like that the whole time?" Aizawa-Sensei smirked sadistically, "Alright, the person who scores last place in the exam will be deemed unworthy and expelled immediately," he said with a evil smirk. "What? But it's the first day! That's so not fair." the brown-haired girl protested. "Unfair? The world is full of unfairness. Villains, natural disasters, major accidents. UA is going to teach you to go beyond your limits, that's what it means to go Plus Ultra. That said, welcome to the UA hero course," he said, with a scary face.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~~~(Time skip to after the tests)~~~

We all stood in front of the score board and looked at our scores. I placed first, Izu was second, a guy named Shouto was in third, and the person in fourth was very familiar. Katsuki Bakugou. Where have I heard that name? It sounds so familiar, but I don't know why. In last place was a boy named Minorou Mineta. Suddenly a purple-haired midget was on the floor crying his eyes out about not being able to touch some poor girl's boobs. "Mineta, you have been expelled. Under normal circumstances you would have been transferred to General Education, but you have been reported for harassing multiple female students. Because of this, you are expelled from UA and will never have a chance in any hero school." All the girls sighed in relief at the loss of the pervert.

After we changed back into our school uniforms, we headed back to the classroom to pick up our syllabus and finish the rest of the school day. Classes ended and we all packed up to head home. As Izuku and I made it to the gate, a certain pomeranian ran towards us shouting angrily. 'Oh what is it this time?' I thought, wondering why he was so angry. "DEKU! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!!" he shouted.  'Wait a minute, wasn't that the nickname Izu got from that "Kachan" kid when he got diagnosed quirkless? Is this guy Kachaan?' I suddenly realized why this guy felt so familiar. This was Izuku's childhood bully! He was the one who chased Izu to Mt. Ebbot! Oh, he's gonna pay for what he did to Izu.

"And who are you?" Izuku asked, tilting his head in confusion. The pomeranian stood there in shock as if he expected Izu to remember him. I was kind of happy that Izu forgot about the humans who hurt him, it really helped him heal from the past. "Let's ignore him, Izu. We have to get home and tell everyone about our first day!" I said, trying to distract him from the situation. Luckily it worked, "Yeah! I can't wait to tell mom and dad. They'll be thrilled that we made it in," he said, suddenly excited about the thought. We hurried out the gate before "Kachan" could chase after us. "Race you home, Izu!" I challenged. "You're on!" he replied.

And with that, our first day at UA came to an end.
