Chapter 16

"How was the party last night?" Lexi asked, stretching out on the large bed and curled up with a pillow.

"It was interesting," David smirked as he packed his suitcase.

"Interesting, huh?" Lexi raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Do tell."

"Well, let's just say that Richie and I had a pretty deep conversation," David chuckled, placing his folded up shorts in his case.

Lexi smiled and bit her bottom lip. "How deep?"

"Very," David replied simply. "Deep."

"And the sex?"

David's eyes widened, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. "How...How'd you know about that?"

"Richie asked me beforehand," Lexi said. "I know our sex life has kinda lulled for the past three months. I figured what's one night."

David's face turned a slight shade of red, surprised by Lexi's bluntness. He walked over to the bed and sat down next to her, taking her hand in his. "Well, it was good. It's been a while since Richie and I had a moment like that. It felt like old times, you know?"

His words trailed off as he looked into Lexi's eyes, searching for any sign of jealousy or hurt. But all he saw was understanding and love. He leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips, thankful for her support.

"I'm glad you had a good time." Lexi returned the kiss with equal tenderness, her hand reaching up to caress his cheek. "I want you to be happy, baby. And if that means reconnecting with Richie, then I'm all for it."

David smiled, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. "Thank you, beautiful. I love you."

"I love you too, David." Lexi grinned and pressed her lips together. She paused for a moment before speaking again, her voice soft and hesitant. "Just remember, it's important to be here with me and our baby. Your family should always come first."

"I will, baby. I'll never forget that." He paused, gazing into her eyes. "And speaking of being here...I'll finish the nursery once I'm back from Chicago and the wedding's over."

"Thank you," she said, her voice soft and sincere. "I appreciate that. And I'll make sure to have everything ready for you when you get back." She leaned in and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Now finish packing so you're ready when the car gets here."

David smiled and kissed her back before standing up and finishing packing his suitcase. As he zipped it up for the last time, he glanced at the clock and realized he was running late.

"I'll see you soon," he said, giving her a quick kiss on the lips before heading out the door.

The cool morning air brushed against his face as David stepped out of the house, closing the door behind him. He took a deep breath, feeling anticipation bubbling up inside him. He was excited to see Richie again but also anxious about Jon being around.

"Morning, boss," the driver greeted him and popped the trunk open.

"Morning, Mike," David replied. Mike loaded the luggage into the car while David climbed in and settled into the plush seat.

As he made his way towards the car, he couldn't help but reminisce about the past. The memories of him and Richie together were bittersweet, tinged with regret and longing. He wished things could have been different, that they could have found a way to make it work.

The car pulled away from the curb, leaving the quiet countryside behind as David's thoughts drifted back to the conversation he'd had with Lexi. He was grateful for her understanding and support, knowing that she would always be there for him, no matter what.

Just over the horizon, the sun rose, casting a warm glow over the city as the car drove through the bustling streets. David watched out the window, lost in thought, his mind wandering back to the events of the previous night.

Richie. His warm lips wrapped around David's cock. Their eyes locked together in the darkness.

David shuddered, feeling a wave of heat wash over him as he relived the memory of last night. He couldn't believe he'd actually gone through with it, reconnecting with Richie after all these years. But it had been incredible, like nothing he'd ever experienced before.

He felt alive, like he could take on the world.

The car pulled up to the airport, and David quickly grabbed his bag and stepped outside. Jovi Air stood proud against the morning sky. The guys waved over to David, who noticed the absence of Tico.

"T not arrive yet?" he asked Jon.

"He beat us there," Jon replied with a smile. "How was the premiere?"

David smirked to himself and licked his lips. "Couldn't have gone better. Musical went off without a hitch and we've already got another in the works."

"That's great to hear," Jon said, looking genuinely pleased for him. "I'm sure Richie will be thrilled. He's always been really supportive of your work."

The two men exchanged a brief glance, the weight of their shared history lingering between them. Jon's eyes gave off the aura of knowing something had happened.

"Yeah, he really has." He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing, "You know, I'm really looking forward to seeing him again."

Jon raised an eyebrow quizzically. "Long as you keep your hands to yourself."

"Sure, sure, wouldn't dream of doing anything else," David said smoothly.

Well...no need to dream, he thought to himself.

David smiled as he followed Jon to the private jet. The sun had fully risen now, casting a warm glow over the tarmac and the gleaming aircraft. They boarded and saw Richie waiting with a drink. He and Hugh raised their glasses to David.

"There he is! The Groom to be!" Hugh exclaimed. David and Jon took their seats, the flight attendant immediately coming over to offer them refreshments. "How's the bride?"

"Very pregnant and grumpy," David replied, fastening his seatbelt. "Her mom's taking her baby shopping sometime this week. Thank god it ain't me."

Hugh laughed and finished his drink. "Kelli's making her a gift."

"Aww shit, she didn't have to do that," David chuckled. "What is it?"

"A huge blanket that I'm sure the kid will get lost in," Hugh answered with a wide grin.

"So," Jon said, breaking the silence. "Tell us. How's it feel to be a great playwright?"

David smiled, feeling a rush of pride. "It's a dream come true, honestly. To be able to create something from nothing, to share it with people and see the impact it has on them...it's an incredible feeling."

"You should've seen it, Jonny," Richie said with a grin. "They were all over him."

"It was quite the experience. It's amazing what people can do when they put their minds to it." He glanced over at Jon, sensing the tension between them, but decided not to address it yet. "I'm just glad everyone enjoyed it."

"It's inspiring," Jon agreed, taking a sip of his drink. He glanced out the window, watching as the cityscape gave way to the ocean below them. "I can't help but wonder, though...what does this mean for us? For Jovi?"

David's brow furrowed nervously in thought. "How do you mean?"

"I think it means that we're all growing up, Jonny," Richie interjected. "We're finding our own paths, our own ways to express ourselves. And that's a good thing."

"Yeah...it's a good thing," David nodded in agreement. "Why are you questioning it?"

"Don't worry about him," Richie said, kissing the back of Jon's hand, "He was miffed that I got home so late."

"Hugh left after the show," Jon pouted. "Tico said he did too."

"Baby, I told you. There was a lot of drinking and mingling," Richie replied. "Besides, Lexi left too."

"Not helping," Jon scowled.

"Come on," David said, reaching out his open arms. "It's a boys' weekend, remember?" he added as the jet soared through the sky, leaving the city and its troubles behind.

Vicky, the flight attendant, handed David a glass of champagne, and he took a sip, savoring the creamy taste against his tongue. He looked around the cabin, taking in the luxurious leather seats, the polished wood accents, and the panoramic windows that offered breathtaking views of the landscape below.

David sipped his champagne, feeling the cool liquid slide down his throat and spread warmth throughout his body. He glanced over at Jon, noticing the tension still present in his posture, despite the playful banter.

The men continued to sip their drinks and make small talk as the jet carried them towards their destination. David couldn't help but notice the way Jon kept stealing glances at him, almost as if he could see right through him. He wondered if Jon suspected anything about his feelings.

*~*~*

"Fuck him," Richie cursed and adjusted his collar. "If Jon wants to miss out on the party, that's his choice."

David gave a weak smile, feeling the weight of the tension between him and Jon. He took another sip of his champagne, trying to ignore the knot forming in his stomach. He smiled over at his female companion, of whose name he'd forgotten already, and wiggled his eyebrows.

"I'm sure you'll make me feel better," he said flirtatiously.

"Baby, I'll make you very happy tonight," she replied, playing with his hair.

The limo made its way down the streets of Chicago, passing by the bright lights and bustling energy of the city's nightlife. His date giggled with her friends. Tanned legs, long blonde hair and soft facial features. She was gorgeous.

Another one of Richie's Little Black Book ladies. They all were.

Her hand wandered into his lap, blatantly cupping and squeezing him. She leaned in, her lips brushing against his. David felt a spark of electricity run through him, and he reciprocated, pulling her closer. "You're a naughty boy," she cooed.

"You have no idea," he growled, his hand scooping her ass and she fell into him.

"Mmm...tell me I'll find out," she whispered.

"If you're a good girl," he chortled, "you just might." The limo came to a stop, and the driver opened the door.

"Gentlemen, we're here," he announced. David shook off the feeling of unease about Jon. Tonight was his bachelor party and he was gonna enjoy every wanton, illicit, degenerate and debauched moment.

David stepped out into the warm night air, feeling the slight breeze against his skin. He took a deep breath, letting the smell of the city fill his lungs. The rest stumbled from the limo, a lady hanging off each of the guys. Yet somehow, thankfully, they'd managed to avoid any paparazzis.

The doorman allowed them entry, showing off the smoky interior of the club with low lighting and flickering candles. A mix of loud music and excited chatter filled the air as guests made their way towards the bar.

David scanned the room, his eyes landing on Richie, who was laughing with his lady friend. Talk about looking good. Richie's leather pants clung to him in all the right places and sent David's heart pounding.

Fuck any chick that thinks she has a chance...I want him.

A group of dancers took to the stage, their bodies moving to the beat of the music. Their costumes were scanty, revealing their tantalizing curves and voluptuous breasts. He watched, entranced by the sinuous movement and grace as they glided up and down poles for the audience.

"Boys, welcome to heaven," Tico growled.

The club exuded an air of opulence and exclusivity, with its rich leather couches, velvet drapes, and ornate chandeliers. The smell of expensive cigars and aged whiskey hung heavy in the air, mingling with the sound of clinking glasses and raucous laughter.

He surveyed the room, taking in the activities only a place like this could indulge in. A group of men gathered around a high-stakes poker game. Their faces intensely focused on the cards in their hands. Another cluster of people were gathered around the stage, where the music had changed to a slow, sensual rhythm.

A woman with fiery red hair and a dazzling smile approached the stage, her hips swaying to the beat. She began to dance. The crowd cheered, their eyes glued to her every move.

David and his date followed the hostess to the VIP section. Her hips swayed deliciously side to side, her ass one he'd delight in worshiping. The woman handed them each a glass of champagne, her smile warm and inviting.

"I hope you gentlemen are enjoying yourselves," she said, her voice melodic and seductive. "As you can see, we've set up some special gifts for your party." In the middle of the table sat a wooden box with the finest, hand selected cigars and shot bottles of Jack Daniels.

"Can we get a round of whiskey and whatever the ladies would like?" Richie asked, handing over his credit card. "Tonight's on me, fellas."

David's date picked up a cigar, her fingers tracing the delicate label. She brought it to her nose, inhaling deeply. A slow smile spread across her lips as she exhaled. "Mmm, I do love a good cigar."

The hostess' eyes twinkled as she gestured to the box, "Help yourselves."

David watched his date expertly cut the cigar and light it, offering it to him. "Bachelor first." The smooth, rich taste of the tobacco filled his mouth, and he let out a satisfied sigh. He glanced around the lounge, taking in the plush velvet couches and ornate decorations.

The dancer on stage twirled and gyrated, her movements mesmerizing as she performed for the crowd. The music thumped and vibrated through the room, adding to the overall sensual atmosphere.

Their waitress came back with a tray of drinks, dispersing them to the correct person. Richie raised his glass in a toast, "To Lema, a hell of a friend and an even better bachelor."

The clinking of glasses rang through the air as the group toasted to David, their laughter and cheers mingling with the music. David took a sip of his whiskey, savoring the smooth, warm taste. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see his date smiling at him, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

"I think someone's ready for his private dance," she said, nodding towards the stage where a dancer was making her way towards their table. The woman had long, wavy blonde hair and curves that could make a man weak at the knees.

The blonde bombshell sauntered over to David, her hips swaying to the beat of the music. She wore a skimpy outfit that left little to the imagination, showcasing her toned abs and ample assets.

David felt his heart rate quicken as she approached, his eyes locked on hers. The dancer leaned in close, her breath hot on David's ear as she whispered, "Ready for a private dance, handsome?"

The heat radiated off her body and he swallowed hard, nodding his consent. The dancer took David's hand, leading him to a secluded room down a black and red carpeted hallway. The music became muffled as the curtain closed behind them, creating an intimate atmosphere.

The dancer straddled David, her legs on either side of him. She moved to the rhythm of the music, her hips grinding against his. The sensation was intoxicating, and David couldn't help but get lost in the moment.

Her movements were mesmerizing, and David found himself unable to look away. The dancer's long, flowing hair cascaded down her shoulders, catching the dim light of the lounge. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with mischief and seduction as she traced her fingers down David's chest.

His body responded to her but he kept his hands to himself.

"I'll take it from here," a man's voice came from the curtained entrance. Richie. He handed the dancer two hundred dollars and she scurried off for the next customer. "You know," he said, closing the curtain once more, "I'm actually glad Jon didn't come tonight."

Richie took a seat on the plush velvet couch opposite David, a knowing smile playing on his lips. He poured himself a glass of whiskey from the decanter on the table and leaned back, swirling the amber liquid in the crystal tumbler.

David couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "Yeah, I bet you are." He took a sip of his drink, trying to steady his breath. The dancer had been incredible, and Richie's timing couldn't have been worse. Or maybe it was just right.

"Well...I paid for a dance...I'd like my dance," Richie said and stood, taking David's hand and pulling him to his feet.

"Rich...you know I'm a horrible dancer," David laughed.

"It'll be good practice for your wedding," Richie insisted.

David felt himself blushing at the implication, but he let Richie lead him to the center of the room. It was hard not to get swept up in the sensual energy.

"You know, I'm starting to think that you're the only one who actually came to this bachelor party for the bachelor," David joked, feeling the heat rising in his cheeks.

"I wouldn't come for anyone else," Richie grinned, taking David's hand and pulling him closer. The two men swayed together to the music, their bodies moving in perfect synchrony despite their obvious differences.

David was taller, broader, with an air of easy confidence that came from years of hard work and dedication. Richie, on the other hand, was slender and graceful, his movements fluid and practiced.

The two danced together, their movements almost hypnotic. The room seemed to melt away around them, and all that mattered was the music and the closeness of their bodies.

As they danced, Richie's hands roamed over David's body, tracing the lines of his muscles. David could feel the heat rising in his cheeks as Richie's touch sent sparks of electricity through him.

"You look delicious tonight," Richie whispered.

"And you...wore those damn leather pants," David smiled.

He leaned in closer, his breath mingling with Richie's as their lips met in a passionate kiss. The taste of whiskey and cigar smoke filled his mouth. All he wanted was to feel Richie's arms around him, to feel the beat of his heart against his own.

David was lost in the moment, his mind consumed by the desire that burned within him. He wanted to feel Richie's body against his, to feel the touch of his lips against his own. His cock began to harden and he let out a soft moan as Richie's hands wrapped around him.

"You know you like them," Richie replied. He pulled David closer, their bodies pressed together. He leaned in for another kiss, his hands moving down David's body until they reached his thighs.

David let out a low moan as Richie's fingers brushed against his most sensitive spot, sending a jolt of electricity through him. Richie's touch was gentle but firm, sending waves of pleasure through his body. He failed to hold back another moan as Richie's fingers explored him further.

Richie pulled away for a moment, his eyes dark with desire. "You like this, don't you?" he whispered, "You like the way I touch you."

"Yes," David breathed. "I like it a lot."

"Music to my ears," Richie smirked, pleased with himself. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against David's ear as he whispered, "I want to make you feel even better."

David's breath hitched as Richie's warm breath tickled his ear, his heart pounding in his chest. "Please, Rich..." He gently pushed David back onto the sofa and knelt in front of him.

"You like me on my knees?" Richie's fingers traced a slow path up David's thighs, making him squirm with anticipation. His fingers reached the waistband of David's pants, and he slowly began to undo the buttons.

"God, yes," David moaned.

David watched him, his breath coming in shallow gasps as Richie revealed the skin beneath. Richie's touch was maddeningly gentle, sending shivers down David's spine as he traced patterns on his skin.

"Baby, we're gonna get caught," David growled.

"Call me that again," Richie said.

"Baby...."

Richie's eyes never left David's as he slowly pulls down his pants, revealing his hard cock. He leaned in closer, his breath hot against David's skin. David let out a moan as Richie's tongue darted out, tasting him.

"Ooh, baby...yes...."

Richie's tongue swirled around the tip of David's cock, causing him to arch his back and let out a deep, guttural moan. His hands gripped David's hips, holding him in place as he took him deeper into his mouth.

David's eyes rolled back in his head as he felt Richie's warm mouth envelop him. The sensation was overwhelming, sending waves of pleasure coursing through his body. It felt...good. It felt right. So fucking right.

"Rich...more...."

Richie's tongue swirled and flicked, teasing David's sensitive tip before taking him in deeper. David's breath hitched as Richie's lips slid down his shaft, his hips bucking involuntarily. His fingers tangled in Richie's hair, his lover's head bobbing up and down.

"Oh fuck, baby," David groaned. He shivered as Richie's hand rolled his balls, massaging those sweet orbs lovingly. His lips devoured David's cock inch by inch, suckling as it slid deep in his throat.

He could feel himself getting closer and closer to the edge, his breathing shallow and erratic. Richie knew just how to drive him wild. His tongue flicked over the sensitive skin of David's cock, tracing patterns that sent shockwaves of pleasure through his body.

"Oh god...yes...oh god, I'm gonna come," David panted, sweat dewing up on his face.

Richie looked up at David, his eyes dark with desire as he felt David's cock twitch in his mouth. He didn't want to lose this moment and quickly swallowed David's seed, savoring the taste of his lover.

David's body shuddered as he released his climax into Richie's mouth. He moaned loudly, arching his back as wave after wave of pleasure washed over him. His fingers dug into Richie's shoulder blades, holding him close.

Richie smiled up at David, his eyes sparkling with triumph. He slowly pulled back, his lips glistening with David's essence. He licked his lips, savoring the taste.

"Mmm...that was incredible," Richie purred, his voice low and husky. David gasped for breath, his heart racing. He looked down at Richie, his eyes filled with a mix of lust and admiration.

"You're...amazing," he managed to say between heavy breaths.

Richie chuckled softly, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on David's thighs. "Well, I do have my talents," he teased with a wink. "But we should probably head back to the group before they start wondering where we've disappeared to."

David laughed as he looked down at Richie. "You're right...they might." He pushed himself up, quickly adjusting his clothing and tucking himself back in. His cheeks flushed with heat as he tried to hide the evidence of what they'd just done.

"Let's go mingle. Maybe start up a card game," Richie suggested with a wink.

*~*~*

"Ladies, it's been a fuckin' night...but I'm sure Lema here would love some company," Richie said, handing over his date to David as they approached their respective hotel rooms.

The two women smiled at each other and each wrapped an arm around David's neck.

Jon stuck his head out of his door and laughed. "Looks like the bachelor had a good night," he said.

"Night's young, baby!" David exclaimed, heading toward his room with the ladies.

"If you'll excuse us," Tico said, his arm around a tall brunette.

"Looks like the party's moving to my suite, gorgeous," Hugh whispered to his date, swinging her out and allowing himself to be pulled by her.

Richie chuckled and took off his hat, placing it on Jon's head before laying a sweet kiss on his lips and backing him into the suite. "You missed one hell of a night," he whispered against the kiss.

"I did?" Jon asked, arching his back and moaning softly as Richie's hands slid down his back, cupping his ass. "What'd I miss?"

"Oh, you know...a little dance...poker, which Lema lost spectacularly...some amazing company. The ladies were all over Tico and Lema."

"So it was a normal night then," Jon chuckled, reaching up to tug at the collar of Richie's shirt.

"Maybe," Richie said with a grin, nipping at Jon's ear. "But not nearly as much fun as this. What trouble did you get up to?"

"Wine and work was my night," Jon sighed and backed away from Richie. "I hope Lema wasn't too disappointed with me staying back."

Richie shrugged off his shirt and necklaces. "I don't think he's disappointed at all right now. I got two girls in there taking him straight to heaven." He grinned slyly. "I'm more worried about getting you to bed. You look like you could use some sleep."

Jon glanced at the bed, his cheeks flushing pink. "Maybe...," he murmured.

"Maybe?" Richie teased, walking over and pushing him gently onto the mattress. "Come on, I'll make it worth your while."

"Maybe after you shower? You smell like a strip club...not to mention the glitter," Jon smiled.

Richie rolled his eyes and collapsed on the bed beside him. "You're no fun." He sat up, giving Jon a playful shove. "Come on, let's go take a shower. We can get a little slippery when wet, and then you can get some sleep. Fair enough?"

"Lamest pun yet, Mookie," Jon laughed and nodded, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Alright, let's do it. But don't think I'm going to make it easy on you, Rich."

"Oh, I never do, baby." Richie grinned and stood up, holding out his hand to help Jon up.

Oooh god! Yes, baby, right there...

"I'd say the bachelor is happy indeed."

"He would have been happier with his best friend celebrating," Richie said, toeing off his shoes.

"Hmm," Jon hummed as he moved into the bathroom. "Maybe...," he said, his voice echoing off the tiled walls. "Or maybe things would have ended up in an awkward silence or worse. It was safer for me to stay here, Rich." He stood and looked at himself in the mirror, arms crossed.

Richie slumped into the bathroom and slid his arms around Jon's waist. "Come on...can't you two kiss and make up? Preferably while I watch?"

Jon squinted at him in the mirror. "Do you think you'll ever grow out of the horny teenager stage?" Slipping from Richie's embrace, Jon reached into the shower and started the water flowing.

"You still mad about me going to the Memphis premiere?"

"What would make you think I'm mad?" Jon asked, side-eyeing Richie.

"Wild guess," Richie answered. "Nothing happened, Jonny. I promise. I already apologized for being home late."

"I know you did," Jon shrugged and pulled his shirt off over his head and balling it up. He tossed it at Richie with a satisfying thunk in the middle of his chest. "I dunno," he shrugged and rubbed at the spot above his heart. "Somethin' don't feel right-."

"Heart attack?" Richie queried, gripping Jon's wrist to stop the circular motion. "Or indigestion?"

"Asshole," Jon snorted in amusement.

"Look at me, Jonny," Richie said and Jon did. "It's been two years since Lema found out about us. He's moved on with Lexi. You should be happy. We both should be. Means we get to be together forever. Everyone's got a happy ending."

"You think we'll ever be able to marry, Mookie?" Jon asked, softening a little, and wrapping his arms around Richie's waist.

Richie shrugged and brushed a lock of hair from Jon's eyes. "Maybe when we retire. You know if we tried that shit now, Lema might shoot you."

"I'm more wary of Lexi than I am of David," Jon smirked. "I know all of his secrets, remember?!"

Secrets. That's all we are. Secrets and lies.

"Yeah, I'm well aware...so is Lexi. I'm sure he's told our secrets to her too," Richie said. "Does he really think she'll stick around?"

"Your guess is as good as mine," Jon sighed. "C'mon, let's get that glitter off you. Dare I ask what part of the girl that came from?"

"Dancer shot one of those confetti poppers with her cooch. $10 a pop, baby," Richie laughed. "Lema took one to the face."

"Now you're making me regret not going," Jon chuckled and released the fastenings of the leather pants, and Richie wiggled enough to let them puddle around his feet.

"Don't worry, baby...we got photos and video," Richie winked. "I couldn't leave you out completely."

"Show me later," Jon replied, giving him a shove toward the shower before dropping his sweats to the floor and joining him. "Right now, you smell of cigarettes...no," Jon sniffed, "cigars, booze and little like sex," he said, the last words were mumbled. "How many of those strippers did you fuck anyway?"

"I didn't. Now, Lema...he took a couple in the back."

"Then how come you smell like that?"

"Baby, it's a strip club. Everyone ends up smelling like it," Richie replied, pulling Jon under the hot spray with him. "Come on, baby...let me help you stop worrying."
