" Nandini your father has forgot his important file at home. Go and give it to him. " I heard mom shout from the living room but I was so engrossed in my phone that I didn't respond. " Did you hear me? " I looked up from my phone at her who had now entered my room.

" Yes I heard. " I spoke casually and laid back on the bed. " Then go and give it to him. " She said taking out my clothes from my wardrobe. " No I don't wanna go. Send Abhi. " I said turning on the other side of the bed. " He is already in office. And it has been 2 days since you haven't left your room so go out and get some fresh air. "

She said keeping my dress on the bed. " I am sleepy. " I fake yawned. " No you are lazy. Now get up or you want me to smack your bum? " I sighed and having no other option I got up from the bed, grabbing my dress I went to take a shower.

" It is because of you I had to come here. Now dare you forget something else again. Do you forget to eat, do you? Then how could you forget Dad's important file. " I burst out on Abhi as soon as I entered his Cabin.

" Cool down, angry young woman. " He said making me roll my eyes. " And what is wrong you got some fresh air. " He said looking at some files and I wanted to pull my hair. " Just shut up, shut up! Both you and mom will eat my head. I am going to dad. " I said with a bad mood and he smiled.

" You know what actually f you! " I lip synced the bad word while showing him my middle finger cause last time when I swore he had recorded it and showed it to mom. " Get out of my cabin before I kill you. " He yelled at me. " How will Mukti Bhabhi even live with you? "

After saying this to him I exited his cabin, ignoring his hatred words towards me. That monkey, let him come back home today. I will put extra salt in his food and extra sugar in his dessert.

" Whom are you going to give diabetes and blood pressure? " I heard someone speak right behind my ear.

' When will I stop speaking so loud? ' I thought and then turned around to face the person and my eyes landed on Manik! He was wearing a white shirt with his first two buttons open and I had this urge to close them not allowing other girls to see that view.

" What are you doing here? " I asked after a minute as I was done checking him out and I guess he was doing the same. " I am here to work, if you forgot Ms. Murthy. " He gave me a sarcastic smile. " Right. So go for your work. " I said. " It is over cause your Dad forgot his file at home and he had asked his daughter to bring it but unfortunately she came 1 hour late so the clients left. " He added.

And then realisation dawned me, that he was talking about me. " Shut up don't spoil my mood again! " I said angrily moving away from him but he was obstinate. " How about we go for a ride on my bike? " He asked me. " Why? " I asked him. " Because we both are free so.." He requested with hope in his eyes.

" Why this sudden plan? " I asked him as he passed me the helmet and he sat on the bike. " I just said back there, we both are free so to kill time we should go out. " He said casually while I wore the helmet which was way too loose for me as it kept sliding off my head.

" You should have horlicks or bournvita with milk in your breakfast. " He suggested when I punched his back. " Shut up. " I spoke angrily siting behind him on the bike. " Where are we going? " I asked him. " Stop asking so many questions and hold me or you will fall. " He said starting the bike and I clutched his shirt in my hands.

" Ready? " He asked turning back to look at me and I nodded.

" What the fuck? Slow the damn bike down, you want me to die or what? " I yelled at him angrily and he slowed the bike down. " Calm down and this is my normal speed. " He said. " You are crazy. " I breathed out. It was very difficult to speak due to the winds blowing by but we still managed to.

I had no idea where he was taking me but I just knew one thing that I could trust him and also I have taken classes in self defence. I had maintained a distance between us but the faults in the road weren't helping me that much. Everytime the bike bounced I came more and more closer to him. 

After thirty minutes of the ride he stopped the bike at a beach. " Why are we here? " I asked once we got off the bike and I handed over the helmet to him. " Well, the sunset is really beautiful here. " He replied as a small smile formed on his lips.

The beach wasn't crowded, there were only few people present. Some were busy eating or some were busy playing. Manik and I came near the shore and sat there in silence for a long time as we watched the sunset.

This beach was the place which felt peaceful to me but now it wasn't the only thing that felt peaceful, it was her too. I never knew that I, Manik Malhotra would like someone so much. I was sure about this that I was not falling for her but what was the attraction between us that couldn't keep me away from her. Her beauty or her intelligence? There was no way I could choose one cause she had both.

Right now she was there, siting beside me playing with I don't know what because I was busy adoring her. A part of me knew, she liked me too and this thing to be friends was just for her to asure herself that she can't cross limits with me.

Her joyful laugh brought me back to reality as she showed me her hand which was full of sea shells.

" Aren't they pretty? " She asked staring at them. " Yes they are...but not more than you. " I whispered the last line to myself making her frown. " What? " She asked looking at me and I shook my head.

" How about an icecream? " I asked as I saw an icecream trolley. " Umm..okay. " She replied standing up from her place and we walked over to the vendor. " How many members are there in your family? " She asked once we paid for our respective icecreams.

" It is me, my elder sister and Mom Dad. " I replied while watching her eat her icecream. " Here, there is icecream on your nose. " I said giving her my handkerchief and she rubbed it on her nose. " Thanks. " She thanked and I saw her cheeks turn red, indicating she was blushing.

" Shall we go now? " I asked checking my wrist watch to know the time and we had finished our icecreams. " Yes. " Came her small reply as she threw the wrapper in the dustbin and we towards the bike.

This precious time spent with her meant alot for me.

He stopped the bike a little early than my house as I requested him to because I didn't want all the nosy aunties to talk bad about him. I got off the bike and handed over the helmet to him and stood there in silence for a minute, not knowing what to say since I had alot of things to say to him but I didn't know where to start from?

" I..I really enjoyed today. Thank you for that. " Came a simple form sentence from my mouth rather than any sweet one. " Your welcome. I hope there are many days like these for us coming forward. " He asked giving me his best smile which still wasn't a full one, maybe because he never smiled before and trying now for me was hard?

" Yes ofcourse. " I replied with a smile on my face. " Okay then, good night. " He said starting the bike and I nodded. " Good Night. " After wishing him this I moved towards my house but stopped at a place to turn back and found him still there waiting for me to enter the house.

I waved him once again when he left and I lowered my Hand down. This was indeed the best day of mine with him till now.
