CH. 5 The dices have been thrown

Hello dear all :-) so here comes the new chapter of this story and we will see how our angel and our criminal meet... I really hope you'll enjoy it, let me know what you think with your amazing comments, which I really love to read!

Ah! If you see something strane in how Roman talks to Enna, that's all on purpose.

Thank you very much for being such amazing fans and now let's see how the story unravels from here on...because has the title says, the dices have been thrown.

Dedicated to all of you and in particular to xxbdbxxloverxx as promised dear the first chapter where they meet! Hope you'll enjoy it xox

On the right a pic of a very sexy Roman --> Luke Armitage

And now.. enjoy!

Everything for Roman stopped at that precise moment.

Was this person a human being or a creature of another world?

The person in front of Roman must be an angel.

Yes, a beautiful angel.

When he walked away he could not tear his eyes off that androgynous and beautiful figure and the person turned his head to steal a quick glance, their eyes locked again and he knew those eyes and those lips had captured his soul and his heart.

Enna felt like being struck and forget how to breathe.

He felt pulled towards those eyes and when he finally found his voice and the man spoke in response, Enna felt himself chained to that dark and clearly dangerous looking man.

While he walked away, he felt his piercing stare on his neck and when he peeked back, those eyes were there, staring at him intensely, piercing through his flesh, his soul, his heart.

Who was that ethereal and beautiful creature?

Who was that extremely handsome and intimidating dangerous-looking stranger?

Only one answer was known. The dices of love had been thrown on the table of life and now the two men were staring at their respective soul mate.

Yes, you could say that. It was indeed destined love at first sight.

-DUBLIN, IRELAND-

ROMAN POV

I stood in front of the police officer at the area of passport and visa control and patiently waited for him to look at my documents, study my face and ask the routine questions. I had all the answers ready and perfectly planned, because I could not afford to make the slightest mistake and I thanked once more my boss for making me study. Now I was able to speak English, even if with a strong accent and could not understand everything, but the simple fact of speaking it was all of my advantage. I was in fact the only in the organization speaking it at such decent level.

No, that was not correct.

There were two other persons speaking it, but Ruslan’s English was poor, too poor for the whole issue. Indeed there was someone else behind him pulling the strings of everything.

I still remembered what those people said in the car and how they talked about another Chechen boss dealing with a person in Ireland, whose name and face were unknown to everyone; those had been the further evidence that I needed to come over here and get at the head of the problem. My instinct told me that someone was playing a part and Anton had the same suspect. We actually kept in contact with my Ukrainian cell phone, so if someone tried to detect his phone calls from inside, they would just see that I was still around there for business. The idea was of me flying to Kazakhstan and that’s what I did. I smirked thinking about that. Yes, I flew to there, but then took a plane back to Kiev travelling with my fake documents and from there I flew to Dublin.

I fixed the glasses I was wearing to better disguise my face and appearance, and had also combed my hair differently, aside wearing completely normal and rather common touristic clothes.

“Sir, I see from your visa that you will stay in Ireland for about a month as tourist, is that correct?” What a pointless question, it was written over there.

“Yes, sir. I want to travel your beautiful country.” Of course, travel your beautiful country. I had no idea how it looked outside Dublin, the only city I studied carefully when I was searching for info about Anton’s friend.

“Will you be staying in a hotel?” He inquired again and I showed him the booking receipt I printed out and also the receipt of the rented car. Yes, I had rented a car; it looked less suspicious if you were travelling alone. “Thank you sir.” He carefully read the papers and then gave them back with a polite smile.

So far it had been easy enough and not problematic or annoying. People seemed relaxed here and rather welcoming, which helped me in what I came here for. If I were to travel in a country hostile to foreigners, well, that might lead to complication and you needed to pay extra attention, but it seemed not the case here.

“Thank you.” I answered trying not to sound too harsh.

He asked a couple of other formalities-like questions and then handed me back my documents and with another polite smile he wished me a pleasant vacation.

“Thank you, sir.” I nodded and smiled politely, too. “I sure will love your country.” Yes, even more if I was to get what I came here for.

I followed the long corridor and then looked for the rental place for cars, but not seeing any desk I decided to ask for information and my luck had me asking to a rather young and attractive woman that was more than willing to help me. I gave her a rather dark smile and she smiled back, but understood it was safer to keep in distance. Smart woman. The office was outside and when I arrived I showed them the online booking and then paid with a credit card that obviously has been created for the purpose of this trip, therefore the name was the same of the passport.

The car was a normal and simple silver WV Golf and the moment I sat in the car and drove to the exit of the airport, was the moment I cursed; here they drove at the British way and so had to get used to take over cars on the other side, but after a while I slightly got used and decided to take it easy and simply follow the direction of the GPS the car had on board. The hotel was rather simple, not too far from the city centre, but not exactly in the city centre; I needed to keep in the right place and that was it and the hotel had many rooms, which meant the personnel did not care about your times and business. I parked the car and then collected my bags and checked the room; it was actually a bright and comfortable room and lucky enough I had WIFI connection in the room.

I discarded my bags and threw away the fake glasses and then turned on the laptop immediately and began to work on what I got. Last week Igor provided me with the necessary name and also described me the person in every detail; Anton did the same and then wished me good luck. With the name, I cracked the system of the fast-food where he worked and in few minutes I got in possession of the exact place where he worked, address of the place, his time-table and personal address and phone number. I had all it was required and now I just had to decide when to show up.

I glanced at the clock on the wall and saw it was around four in the afternoon; it was better to post-pone everything tomorrow and today simply study the matter and rest a moment, since recently I slept very little. We had some extra issues before my departure and Anton promised me to take care of that and I knew I could trust him. I sighed and laid down a moment on the bed looking at ceiling; it might be a good idea to have a shower and then go for dinner and check out the location of the place, just in case.

Right when I was about to set foot in the shower, the phone rang and it was Anton, so I let the towel dropped on the sink and walked back to the bedroom to get the phone.

“Hey Roman, how are things in there? Enjoy a hot dinner in the club?” Right, my supposed-to-be business in Kazakhstan.

“Yes, a very pleasant dinner I might say. You should be here, I just saw a girl of your taste.” Which was actually true, since the girl at the reception desk perfectly fitted his preferences. “But tomorrow is business day.” I informed him and he knew what I meant.

“I see, always the responsible one, aren’t you?” I let out a dark laugh and he did the same. “Well, try not to scare too much that client. You might want to act more “human” this time.” I snorted and glanced at my naked body at the mirror, my chest partially covered in tattoos, my arm completely tattooed and then those stars. Right, behave more “human”. I got what he meant.

“I am not going to scare the client or else the boss will not be pleased.” He chuckled at that and then bet he shook his head. “What are you doing tonight?”

“Free night, for a change.” Good, it meant he would dig into things over there.

“How is the boss?” I enquired.

“Well and safe, Roman. I might have free time, but is free time where I can see him, even though we know is not a defenceless man.” No, that no. Boss Boris was indeed capable of taking care of himself and he instilled great respect, intimidation and fear into people. That is why it was so strange to have some traitors in our group. They knew what they risked too well.

“That is correct, sorry Anton. You good?”

“I’d say yes, bored without you, but we’ll have our fun once you conclude your business. Have some entertainment for me as well.”

“Without doubts.” I smirked and walked back to the bathroom. “Want me to give a kiss to the girl here with me for you?”

He let out an honest amused chuckle.

“Yes please. Well, don’t want to take you away from your pleasure, so speak another time. Take care, Roman.”

“You, too Anton.”

I turned on the hot water and entered the shower. The water ran down my body and my eyes closed enjoying the peaceful sensation of the warm liquid dripping down my skin, massaging my shoulders and neck, giving my mind a moment of absolute quiet.

I checked the timetable and decided to go for the bus; it would save time. It arrived late of ten minutes, but I was not in a hurry, for I know that Sergei, or better call him Mikhail, had just begun his shift. It was almost lunch time, so it was just normal to enter a fast food and ask for meal. The bus stopped in a street that ran perpendicular one of the main streets of Dublin that crossed the river and I calmly walked to place at the other side of the river, on a street called Grafton Street.

Right at end of the street I found the place and I pushed the door open and it was not very busy, good. A quick glance at the cashiers and Mikhail was standing there, talking to a client and handing him a trail with food; he looked different from what I remembered and he had grown longer his blonde hair that now were pulled back in a short pony tail; he had no more earrings and he looked way more relaxed.

I took few steps and stopped right in front of him, but he did not see me yet, as he was checking something behind him at the ice-cream machine. When he turned with his business-like polite smile, his face dropped down and his skin visibly paled; the man in front of me, older than me, gulped down and with his index finger he eased the collar of the shirt. I smirked on one side of my mouth and felt that rush of pleasure in seeing a person in front of me fearing me and therefore respecting me.

“Hello Mikhail.” He had a badge on his shirt with the name written on it. He gulped again and nervously looked around himself.

“Go-good morning sir, may I take your order?”

“Dah.” I said in Russian, as he was Russian and not Ukrainian, but had worked for us. He widened his eyes and eased again the collar of his shirt. “Menu dva.” I said again in Russian. “Please.” I added in a rather cynical way.

“Yes, sir.” His hand trembled when he pushed the buttons of the cash register. “Would you prefer soda or water to drink?”

“Water.” I said and then added. “Y informatzyja.” And he gulped again.

“Yes, sir. If you want to take a seat, I shall bring the trail over when the food is ready.” Smart move.

“I appreciate that, thank you.” I paid and went to sit in a quiet and rather cornered table.

After a couple of minutes he walked over and set the trail on the table and then nervously looked around and talked to me.

“What are you doing here? Is everything ok?” He asked me barely audible in Ukrainian.

“Some business and everything concerning you is fine, if you provide me with the information.” I gave him a rather severe and menacing glare and he paled even more.

“Not here. I am working and .. and..”

I took out a map and as a tourist would do, asked for random directions.

“Write here when and where.” I ordered.

“Yes.” He scratched something and it was the name of a place and then wrote a time and three days of the week. “I go there these days, but well, I think..”

“Yes, I do understand what you think. Relax.” He didn’t want to set a precise appointment, but making it look absolutely casual. If he was so careful and wary it meant that he had already heard of something.

“How should I call you?” He said in almost impossible to hear whisper.

“Vasyl.” I said and he quickly nodded.

I switched to English as someone approached us.

“Thank you very much for your help.”

A man stopped there and asked him what he was doing instead of working.

“He helped me in locate a place on the map, as I lost directions this morning. My fault for taking his time from work.” The man smiled at me politely and then rewarded Mikhail in saying that was the correct way to deal with the public. I just saved his ass. He shot me a quick and nervous glance and I simply stared back firm and dark. He gulped down again and walked away. I ate the hamburger and then left.

Mikhail said to possibly meet at that place, a night club, from Thursday to Saturday and tonight was already Friday; therefore I hoped for his own good that he was going to show up, because I had rather enough of this crap, even though I understood his fear and why he behaved so cautiously. He walked out of my world two years ago and now he was afraid that the smallest thing might throw him back.

I patiently waited for the line to move and for the bouncer to let us in, as tonight it was particularly crowded and so we had to wait. I could have go and pay them to let me in, but would only attract unnecessary attention, so I just waited and pretended to look around, while in fact I was checking people and see whether everything was ok or not. It was of course fine, as the crowd was composed of young people and persons around my own age; they were dressed up and girls stood in quite absurd high heels and sported many fake tans and rather short dresses. I looked at the watch and it was over midnight and I was just slightly earlier, but I had changed times all the evenings and tonight the bouncers were different. Good things. They finally let us in and I paid the entrance and then walked to left corner of the bar and casually leaned there after ordering a beer that I wasn’t going to drink.

This place was packed and the music was loud and people just danced almost everywhere and it was rather annoying at how they would walk close and how girls winked at me; I wasn’t in the mood and just wanted for Mikhail to show the fuck up, because my patience was going thin. Why of all places he had to go for something like that? Oh well, who would hear us talking here? Nobody, that was true. I placed the beer on the counter and took a look around, but everything was just ordinary and people didn’t care about me or simply felt too intimidated to care.

Someone bumped into my shoulder and I sighed out and turned around to tell the person off, as I was getting tired of waiting and waiting. My head whipped on the side with my body and my hand almost shot out.

Almost.

It stopped right where it was, beside my side, and my eyes locked with a pair of ethereal and softly smiling striking blue eyes and then registered the face of the person.

No, that couldn’t be a person, a mere human being. No, as that creature was too beautiful and looked too pure and delicate to be part of this world.

I froze there; my mind, heart and body froze there.

Those impossibly stunning and alluring eyes lingered on mine for long moments, neither of us speaking a word. I could not speak. Everything had stopped in the right moment our eyes locked together and the moment I shifted them on those glossy and inviting lips, on that angelic face with fair and pale skin, long and soft blonde hair almost albino, dark brows arching in a petrified expression over those eyes...then, I knew.

This creature here was an angel.

A beautiful and impossibly tempting and alluring angel.

Were angels supposed to make us feel in that way? I had no idea, since I never believed in them or in God. But there was no denying on the fact this person here was an angel.

“I am very sorry, did not mean to bother you, someone bumped into me.” That voice...so soft and melodic, it left me speechless.

So, angels were male after all.

Male and absolutely breath-taking.

Our eyes kept staring at each other mute and deep and then the angelic creature shifted them away visibly nervous, biting that lower glossy lip. At that view I felt something rising and then coursing through my veins and body and had me going literally on fire. My breathing went heavier at once and my eyes concentrated on those inviting red lips. Those eyes shifted back and then went to walk away, but I spoke, wanting to stop him.

“No problem, no bother.” I simply said, not able to tear my gaze away from his. I knew my voice betrayed my real accent and it sounded very severe and strained, but he did not walk back or shiver. He only stared at me even more intensely, almost leaning closer and so his scent filled my nose and I had to swallow down what came over me.

I felt the impulse to touch his hair and taste those lips, breathe and drink his soul and essence from them; inhale his divine scent from that soft and long hair and taste that pale skin. I felt the urge to be one with this creature and give him my heart, even though my heart was tainted and dark, just like my soul and me.

That was true.

My soul was already tainted and ruined, while his was pure.

I swallowed down the words I had on my tongue and let the creature go, observing every step he took with that beautiful and sensual body, memorizing the way his long legs moved, his hips swung with stirring elegance, wrapped in a second-skin tight black trousers made of some sleek material, exposing his perfect ass; the skin of his back slightly revealed through the thin black transparent material of the top he was wearing.

I had never seen in my entire life someone as beautiful and pure-looking and so alluring like that angelic creature; never in my entire life had I felt the way his eyes made me feel while staring silently and piercing mine. I felt my soul being exposed to them, my heart shattering. He stopped a moment and slightly peeked at me from his slender shoulder.

Our eyes met again and my entire body cried again to have him.

And so I knew.

My mind, my heart and even my dirty soul would always belong to that incredibly beautiful and ethereal being.

ENNA POV

The man I bumped into, because someone carelessly shouldered me away while walking beside me, had chained me there at his dark green eyes.

I could not speak; I could not breathe; I could not think.

I could do nothing but stare at his magnetic and dangerous looking hard eyes, at his handsome strong featured face, with black eyebrows adding darkness at that piercing and undressing stare, his squared jaws and full lips set in a hard line. He had his hair darker than the brows and combed back and this man here, standing silent, tall, muscular and intimidating, had that look of someone that screamed danger and menace, someone you would be afraid of.

Strange enough, I was not afraid of him.

I was irrationally attracted to him, in a way that I felt a pull towards this stranger. Those dark green eyes had me completely stunned and at their mercy and did not let me move; I felt their prisoner, but it wasn’t disturbing, in fact ... it was extremely overwhelming in a sexual and deep way.

I never saw a man so handsome and caring such a magnetic, commanding and compelling air; I wasn’t able to look away and the way his eyes fixed on mine had me feel naked and my whole body stirred in a way for me almost impossible to comprehend. He was a complete stranger and dear me, he screamed of danger, but I felt no fear.

He emitted such powerful air that I almost leaned close to him to better feel his stare caress my body, as that was how it made me feel. I wanted those hands and those lips on my skin, on my body, everywhere. When I realized that, I bit my lower lip in distress, as this was not normal for me. Never a stranger made me feel in this way and it was scaring. His eyes darkened and it felt as if he was about to take my mouth with his; but it was all in my mind, since he never moved.

He spoke and his voice had a strong accent that I recognized coming from some country from Eastern Europe.

When he spoke shivers ran over my body and they were not cold shivers I felt whenever I thought of Michael; instead they had my blood rushing faster and boiling. My heart was now racing at crazy speed and my soul vibrated inside me.

We exchanged another long and silent look and for a moment I thought he was going to say something, but he didn’t and actually let me go. My legs led me to the table of my friends, as I came here with Priya, Ciara and a couple of her crazy friends, and I felt his burning stare on me; I stopped a moment and stole a quick glance. He was still blatantly staring at me and for a second my mind and heart debated over turning back to him, but I turned my head and walked to my table, even though those eyes were piercing through me and exposing my soul.

My soul and my heart and my mind and my body ... they felt all the same devastating pull towards that man.

“Hey sweetie, everything ok? You seem rather flushed..” Priya of course was always very sharp and to mask what happened I offered her a playful smile and said the place was overly crowded tonight.

“It is so warm in here.” I fanned myself and wanted to look again at that stranger, but from here I couldn’t see him.

“I know, right??” Ciara jumped down from the bar stool and jumped on my neck. “I am going to buy something to drink, want another cocktail?”

“No flea, not now, thank you.”

“Oh you are soooooo boring brother of mine! You don’t even have to work tomorrow.” My sister was right; I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow because our salon closed for the whole weekend due to minor renovations. We had to change a couple of mirrors, fix some lights and other little maintenance jobs and thus the shop was closed.

“I know dear sister of mine.” We both stuck out our tongues and Priya face palmed. “But I still need to finish this cocktail and if you are going to get wasted, well, one of us has to get a taxi for you.”

“I am not going to get wasted, just want to have an extra drink.”

“Oh honey we all know how much you hold liquors.” Priya grinned. “You don’t hold them at all.” Ciara stuck out her tongue and then giggled, shaking her heads and having her long white and pink hair flying around her tiny and skinny body. People sometimes mistook us for twins, because we looked very similar, but she was two years younger than I was.

Her friends went with her and so Priya sat right beside me and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I followed Ciara with my eyes and smiled at her very eye-catching colourful emo style, but she looked great in that.

“He didn’t show up again, right?” My friend meant Michael and I shook my head, turning my eyes at her.

“No, I haven’t seen him since last time at the restaurant and I hope he understood to leave me alone. I had been clear that time; actually, I think it was the very first time that I spoke so harshly to him.” I took a long strand of hair and played with it locking it around my fingers. “My dad is rather worried and very angry with the police, saying they should do more, but we know there isn’t much to do.”

“I know sweetie, but you have us and you are amazing and strong. I think he got the message. And anyway, Cillian will be happy to deliver another message for you.” She grinned and I playfully flicked her nose.

“I don’t want Cillian getting into troubles; he is too short-tempered.”

In that moment my sister and her friends came back with the drinks and my little flea bought me a bottle of water. She was so sweet, very loud and hyper, but terribly sweet and I really loved her.

“You said you were hot, right? But hey, you are always bloody hot. Actually, we are bloody hot.” Ciara winked and I just chuckled at her, taking a sip of water, which refreshed me, because it was hot indeed in this place.

“Who wants to dance?” Ask Isabel, a friend of her.

“Want to finish my cocktail first.” Ciara said.

“But I want to dance...” She pouted and Priya and I shared an amused glance and stood up at the same time.

“I want to dance, sweetie.” I told her, taking her hand and fixing a moment her hair.

“Oh I love you Enna, you are always so cool and sweet. Why do you have to like men? I would die to be your girlfriend.” I giggled and she did the same. Ciara rolled her eyes, but then jumped on her friend’s neck.

“He’s the best brother ever, right?”

We walked to the dance floor and my sister stayed at the table with her other two friends, saying they would join us when they would finish their cocktail. I looked around trying to spot again that man, but I could not see him; my eyes scanned more the crowd of people, but nothing. Did he leave already? I had no idea why, but deep inside I felt like sinking down, because I hoped to see him again. I went to say something to Priya, wanting to tell her something about the music and about to walk to the other side of the dance floor, when a hand grabbed my arm and had me turn around rather harshly.

I froze and tried with all my strength to pull away.

Michael was there gripping my arm painfully and with all chances going to leave a bruise on that if he continued to hold it any longer.

“Let go, Michael.” I ordered.

“What are you doing here, you bloody asshole?” Priya was already fuming, so I shot her a look to say to cool it.

It wasn’t the moment to provoke him.

I knew that misty and devious gaze too well. I shivered, but this time feeling cold.

Michael had been drinking and I could almost smell the alcohol on him.

“Enna, let’s talk.” He said and even his voice held malice. I was afraid he could do something.

“We have nothing to talk about. What are you doing here?” I pulled back my arm, but he gripped it harder and I winced, Priya this time about to slap him. “Priya, calm down.”

“Right bitch, I don’t remember asking you anything. Now Enna, you will come with me and you will take me back, is that clear?” He had jerked my arm painfully and I winced more. What was wrong with this man? Why he couldn’t understand? “You hear me? You belong to me.”
“I don’t belong to anyone, let me go.” I was now getting angry, since I always hated that possessive and controlling side of him. It was scaring. “ Michael let me go.”

“No, you are mine, you slut.”

I saw his other hand in the air and I gasped knowing what was coming. But it never came. My eyes stared behind Michael and met again those piercing and magnetic green eyes.

“I think he said to let go.” The voice of that man was so hard and deep and we all froze there. He was holding Michael’s wrist with such strong grip that I thought he was about to snap it. “Let go.” He ordered and I gulped down at the way his voice sounded commanding.

“Who the hell are you? Mind your fucking business.” Michael snarled and that stranger just bent his arm behind his back and in a second my arm went free. “You bloody bastard..”

My ex was now losing his mind and so turned around to hit that man with his elbow, but he ended up being slammed against a column there. Michael hissed in pain and I saw how that man bent his arm and pressed his face against the surface.

“Apologize and leave.” His voice was deadly serious and had all of us standing there hypnotized. I felt almost breathless at its intensity and when his eyes met mine, everything stopped.

“Fuck you..” Michael hissed again and that dangerous looking stranger twisted even more his arm and I knew it was about to break it.

“Wait.” I just said and we exchanged another intense glance and again I felt all that turmoil boiling in me.

He let go of my ex’s arm, but he turned him around and I gasped when he seized his throat with his hand. Who was this man here in front of me? The cold and calculating look in his eyes was scaring, it was almost inhuman, but ... but I felt no fear, no danger for me.

I felt ... safe, protected.

Oh dear me, that was so irrational, but it was how I felt.

“Leave, now.” He repeated and this time Michael really moved away, but not before casting me another angry look and telling me that he was going to have me back. I shivered at those words and wrapped my arms around me. Then I felt two arms on my shoulders and it was Priya and Isabel.

“How are you, honey?” Priya asked and I simply looked at her speechless. Isabel hugged me tighter and then turned to that man, still standing there and now studying my face again with that undressing and stirring gaze.

“Oh my God, that had been sooooo heroic. You actually saved him like a super hero.” I snapped out of my daze at hearing my friend’s words and at Priya chuckling. He had indeed helped me and it did not bother me at all.

“Thank you for helping me.” I finally breathed out.

He looked more at me and under that stare I grew nervous, but not nervous for fear or anxiety. Physically nervous; it was like as if he was touching me with those eyes.

“You good?” He asked me and I simply nodded. I couldn’t find the voice to talk and I wanted to tell him something so badly. Oh dear me, I think I was going a bit insane here. He suddenly took my wrist and pulled out my arm, examining it. I shivered at his touch and my heart jumped crazily. Such an assertive, but attentive touch. “You feel pain?” He had a strange way of speaking English, almost broken English.

“No, thank you.” He let go of my arm.

We stared more at each other and I basically forgot of my friends standing there right beside me and probably looking at the scene rather surprised. Priya decided to break my daze by offering her hand and telling her name, but he simply shook the hand without saying his name. I had no idea what to do. His eyes roamed my figure and then darkened and I saw he seemed thinking about something, debating about something. Then he sighed and I thought he was about to leave, but that didn’t happen.

“May I offer you a drink?” He asked and of course I immediately said yes, not able to resist the pull towards him.

“Yes, thank you.” Priya eyed me even more shocked and gave me a look as to say “are you sure?” and I gave her a look as to say “yes of course, sweetie.” She shook her head and planted her black eyes on the man in front of us and then snorted and took Isabel’s hand and walked away.

“We will wait for you at the table.” She said and I just nodded.

They walked away and now I was here alone with this stranger, with this dangerous looking stranger.

“Who was that man?” He suddenly asked.

“My former lover.” Then I bit my tongue. Oh dear me, what if this man here was a homophobe or thought I was a girl? No mistaking now that I wasn’t a girl, since my voice might be slightly feminine yes, but it was anyway the voice of a guy.

“I understand.” He studied me more and then took a lock of my hair and let it slip between his fingers, chaining me there, completely unable to move under those eyes. “What do you want to drink?”

I smiled at that extremely handsome man and took a step forward, clearly entering in his personal space. We were only few inches apart.

“The same that you will have.” We exchanged another silent and deep glance and I played with a strand of hair. I was behaving in a way I never behaved: I was flirting with a complete stranger.

He smiled in very tempting way and he moved slightly to the side to let me walk first and then placed a hand, having me almost shudder at the touch, between my shoulder blades and led me to the bar. There he ordered something, but couldn’t hear the words because of the loud music and then his eyes turned on me and I felt again completely naked and burning. And of course I had to drift closer and flirt more.

“What’s your name?” I asked fixing my eyes on his and slightly inclining my head on the side. I noticed how his glance rested a moment on my lips and then he took a small step closer and we were again barely few inches apart. He seemed to reflect about something and then he answered.

“Roman, yours?”

“Enna.”

The barman placed the cocktails beside us and Roman handed one to me. I took a sip and I smiled when I realized it was not alcoholic. He smirked in such compelling and dark way that anyone else would have turned around and run away, but I of course stayed there. I had to stay there, that’s what my instinct told me.

“Is not alcohol good for you? I do not feel like drink.” He really had a strong accent and that made him even more handsome and dangerously sexy.

“This is perfect for me; I don’t like to drink too much.” Roman smiled and then took my glass and placed on the counter and I inhaled a deep breath when he captured another strand of hair and leaned closer to me. Oh dear me, his scent was about to send me out of any rationality.

“Enna.” His voice said with firm and deep tone, his eyes fixed on mine, sending shivers down my spine. “You are beautiful, like an angel.”
