Then

Sara was walking down the hall of Starling High, talking to one of her friends. Well, not her friend. She was one of Laurel's friends, but Sara had taken a liking to her.

She wasn't paying attention, and this older boy bumped into her. "Hey! Watch it!" The boy turned on her.

"Sorry." He grumbled. His green eyes were full of something that Sara couldn't put her finger on.

"It's okay." She said, distracted. His eyes alarmed her, but she liked them. The green in them reminded her of a green apple, and she got nervous looking at him.

She continued walking down the hall, and telling Laurel's friend that they would talk later.

She sat down in her biology class, not really being able to focus. As if God knew, in walked the boy. "Take a seat behind Sara." The teacher said, pointing at her. The boy nodded, and took a seat behind her.

"You're Sara?" He asked. She turned in her seat to face him.

"Yes." She said.

"I'm Dean." The boy said.

"Nice to meet you, Dean." She smiled at him. He smiled back, and she got that nervous feeling again.

"Miss Lance! Pay attention!" The teacher called Sara out. She gave an awkward grin, and turned back around.

After class, Dean caught up to her. "Lance... are you related to Laurel Lance?"

"Yeah. She's my sister." Dean raised his eyebrows. "Don't tell me you have a thing for her."

"No, I don't." Dean says. "My little brother does."

"Well, he's not going to have any chance with her."

"And why is that?"

"She's currently dating Oliver Queen."

"That idiot playboy?" Sara laughed.

"Yep."

"Sam'll be crushed. He took a class in law just so he could be near her." Sara smiled.

"I'll have to tell her to talk to him."

Dean grinned. "I won't tell him." Sara chuckled.

"Good."

After school, Dean waited for Sara, who walked out with Laurel. "This is the guy you've been talking nonstop about?" Laurel said, grinning. Sara blushed.

"Shut up Laurel."

"Dean!" Sam Winchester sprinted to catch up with his older brother.

"Sammy." Sam skidded to a halt when he saw Laurel.

"H-hi!" He said shyly. Laurel smiled.

"Hey Sammy." She said, and he blushed.

Dean was nineteen, and Sam was seventeen. Laurel was eighteen, and Sara was seventeen.

Sam smiled awkwardly at Laurel.

She had looked upset before because Oliver Queen had broken her heart. "What's wrong?" Sam asked.

"Nothing." Laurel lied.

A month later, the Winchester boys were gone.
