Fallen Angel
The dark figure rushed down the darkened streets, frantic glances behind her only strengthening the knowledge of her fleeing. She skidded around the corner of Westbury and Kerch and straight across the street without a glance.
SCREECH! The tires of the fancy Lincoln squealed to a halt to avoid hitting the frantic girl. She gasped and planted a hand on the roof the car, her feet skidding back several feet as she slid with the car. The doors flew open on either side and two more figures appeared.
“Are you okay?!” The driver asked. A handsome man in his twenties, dark black hair and the sweetest brown eyes one had ever seen. His best mate of several years, also in his twenties, was his opposite. Sun-kissed blonde hair and jade colored eyes that shone mischievously. Both men were lithe and muscled, each roughly six foot and both dressed in dress shirts of varying color and tight-fitting roper jeans.
“Help me!” The girl gasped. She was tall also, reaching about five-foot-nine and wearing a long black velvet overcoat and snugly fitting black leather boots. Her long brown hair fell in straight curtains over her shoulder and chest, her blue eyes like the darkest sky in the night. Her face struck the boys, who assumed she was in her early twenties as well, and they realized in the same instant that they must be in the presence of an angel.
“What’s the problem?” Jacob Wesley asked. He looked over at his blonde companion, Mason Kelps, and saw the same worry reflected there.
“Drive, I need a car.” She panted. Mason rushed over to her and hauled her to the car, pulling her into the back seat with speed. The car hauled ass and it was quiet for a minute.
“Where are we going?” Jacob finally asked. The girl sat up, breathing easily now.
“Sixth Avenue, the Sixty-sixth apartment building, pull up to the first block, I’m the third floor up.” She instructed. Mason turned to study the girl.
“What’s your name?” He inquired.
“Scarlett Wings. Thank you for saving me Mason, Jacob.” Her voice was an enchanting trill, a voice many could fall in love with by only listening to it. Jacob drove blindly, knowing vaguely where to go.
“What were you running from?” Jacob asked. He was pulling up to the curb. There was a massive cloud appearing from behind them and the boys wondered where the storm had appeared from.
The girl smiled grimly and opened the door.
“Get out” She ordered. The boys listened without hesitation. She pulled them by their sleeves to the stoop of the building.
“I’m running from demons by the way.” She said without embarrassment and stood tall, watching the boys’ reactions. They stared politely back.
“Demons you say?” Jacob said with a smile. She frowned and turned to look at the cloud. It was taking a rather animalistic shape and was looming closer than ever. Scarlett raised her hands and muttered a lilting note in some bizarre language that had both boys wondering if she was Arabian. It sounded a bit like it.
“Brace yourselves.” Scarlett warned. The boys smirked at each other seconds before they found themselves on the ground, the giant cloud having suddenly rushed at the building. It met an invincible barrier with the sound of a thousand hammers on railroad irons. There was a terrible roar and then the cloud shrunk down to reveal a pasty white male, with pure white hair and glowing coal black eyes. He smiled with rabid cruelty and placed a hand against the barrier, where it slowly began to sizzle and melt.
“You cannot run from me forever Angel.” His voice was the voice of many children’s nightmares. The smooth whisper of many promised tortures and fears untold. Scarlett stalked right up to the barrier, placing her own hand to the right of the demon’s. The barrier, now visible, sung with gold lights and a distant hum. The demon was thrown back to the ground with a mighty BOOM! And cracked the asphalt around it up to twenty feet.
“You cannot stand against me, demon. I have the power of god behind me.” Scarlett spoke with authority, her body lighting up with silvery grace. The boys were still on their bums, watching in amazement. Was this really happening?
“The second this shield is down, you will be Lucifer’s!” The demon cackled, standing up and striding to the barrier again. Scarlett pushed her hands against the barrier again.
“Never! I’ll fade away before that ever happens!” She yelled as a bright, blinding light hit the demon. There was a terrible scream and another, now ruby red, flash of light and when the boys were able to see, they saw that the demon was gone. The barrier was still there, luminescent in the full moon. Scarlett stood panting against the barrier for a moment before straightening up and walking over to the boys. She hauled them both up and watched them for signs of shock.
“What are you?” Mason demanded.
“You’ll have to stay until he’s defeated. He’ll kill you both the instant you leave. Come with me.” She turned to go and Jacob grabbed her wrist. Instead of yanking her back, he was pulled forward and she turned with an amused expression.
“You guys can’t stop me. So follow.” The boys did reluctantly; though both admitted silently that following her wasn’t such a bad view. She had a mouthwatering body, full of sleek curves and striking limbs.
They reached the third floor in minutes and she ushered them through the door before locking it. The lights flicked on without any indication and the boys were greeted with an empty sight. A massive bed stood against the far wall, a couch and an armchair, a bookcase filled with books, an open-door bathroom, and a neat kitchen greeted them.
“Take a seat.” Scarlett invited. Jacob and Mason stumbled over to the couch and sat down. Scarlett perched on the edge of the chair. They studied each other for a long while before she finally spoke.
“I’m an angel.” The building shook slightly and she quickly corrected herself.
“Fallen angel actually. But I’m close to redeeming myself. I need to only defeat that demon and I can regain my previous status.” She explained.
“So angels actually exist. God and Satan and demons and all of that?” Jacob, the more nondenominational of the two friends, asked. Scarlett nodded.
“Yes” Her stare was doing strange things to the boys. It lit a fire deep within them, whispering promises to their most instinctive desires.
“Why did you fall?” Mason finally dared. Scarlett, for the first time the boys had seen, became sad.
“I became too prideful.” She whispered. She snapped out of it quickly.
“I’m working on it, as best I can.” Another shake of the building. She scowled.
“Okay, I also broke a human’s heart. But only after he broke mine.” She muttered defiantly. The boys watched in sympathy. There was a stretch of silence in which they took to staring at each other again. The sexual tension grew with each second that passed.
“Okay, I’m not going to beat around the bush.” Mason stood up and removed his shirt. He ignored Jacob’s protesting gasp and walked till he stood right in front of Scarlett.
“I know you’re an angel and all and you’re supposed to be pure and such, but I want you. And I know my best mate enough to know that he wants you too. Now I don’t much like sharing but with you, beauty, I can make an exception.” Mason grinned seductively. Scarlett stared at the boy with no emotion, her eyes flicking back and forth between the cocky blonde and the shy black haired one. Her eyes flashed and she stood up, her entire posture radiating power and authority. Jacob feared for his best friend, wondering why in the hell did he just say that to an angel. Albeit a fallen one, but obviously able to pack a lethal punch.
“I thought you’d never ask.” She murmured. Her trench coat fell to the ground and both boys sucked in breaths at the shimmering silver silk that encased the angel’s body like a glove. She moved her eyes to Jacob’s and he tore off his shirt and pants with no hesitation. Mason, smirking triumphantly, pulled off his own pants. Leaving the two decadent boys in nicely fitting briefs, showing greatly formed packages. Scarlett smiled at them, crooking her finger at them. Mason, being closest, reached her first. He hauled her into his arms, his eyes dancing down at her. She grinned and caught his bottom lip with her teeth and bit gently. His entire body lit up like a foot massager and he nearly fell to his knees. Jacob came up from the other side and slid the dress off her shoulders while Mason began walking them towards the bed.
They fell down upon it, with Scarlet in the middle, and both boys watching her with intensity as she tugged at the sensitive spots in both their scalps and pressed a spine melting kiss to each. Jacob slid the dress off even further and began to kiss the back of her supple neck. When he reached her back, he paused as his lips met flawed skin.
“Scarlett?” He whispered softly. She pulled away from Mason’s sinful mouth and met his eyes. Mason leaned over to look at what he was staring at. A sorrowful gasp left both boys lips and they met the fallen angel’s pained gaze.
“Falling isn’t fun, darlings.” Mason reached an arm over to stroke the three inch long, roped scar while Jacob traced the other. They both imagined elegant and attention-commanding wings protruding from there, white as snow and stained red on the edges.
“When did you fall?” Jacob murmured. Scarlett huddled between these two strong males that pulsed with her every need.
“Twenty years ago. Each day I become more mortal. I have until tomorrow noon to defeat my final task or I lose all trace of my real being.” She explained softly. Unimaginable pain and sorrow drifted in her voice. The boys met each other’s gazes and nodded, returning their attention to the lightning lust that spiraled out of this angel’s body and into their own.
Let’s just say many sizzling, shock-inducing, heart-stopping, don’t-you-wish-you-were-one-of-them things occurred over the next few hours. As narrator, I have deemed this scene far too much for even my amazing voice to detail. Let’s just leave it to your imagination eh?
When the trio awoke, it was to a dazzling sun. It was mid-morning, the sheets tangled around all three, who were still wrapped up in each other. The boys had awoken some time ago, sharing an incredulous look at how unawkward it was to make love to the same girl. A girl who looked even more illustrious asleep, her hand curled back against her temple, the other resting upon her waist. The boys simply watched her, finding complete fulfillment in this one act.
A sigh flew through the room and the angel opened her eyes with a flutter. She smiled happily and moved her head to each boy. As their gazes met as one, a single chord of pure harmony erupted from the surrounding air, a soft, hazel glow encasing the three.
Scarlett sat up with a gasp, staring in wonderment at the two men, who stared incredulously and bewilderedly back. Her hands covered her mouth and her eyes were wide with shock.
“Uh…what just happened?” Jacob asked nervously.
“God just announced…I never thought…this doesn’t happen to…” For once, Scarlett seemed more human than ever. Mason cupped her chin and kissed the corner of her mouth, Jacob instinctively caressing the other side with his own lips.
“What happened?” Mason demanded gently. Scarlett smiled wickedly at her men. Yes, Her Men.
“We’re soul mates Mason; Jacob.” Mason was caught completely off-guard while Jacob thought hard.
“You mean we’re soul mates with you?” He asked hopefully. Scarlett shook her head, her smile beautiful. Mason reared back from the two, staring in slight horror.
“We’re all three soul mates with…with each other?” He asked in a whisper. Scarlett rolled her eyes.
“Yes, meaning that you two are bisexual. Hmmm…that is an even bigger turn on then before. Mind if I watch?” She wiggled her eyebrows before shrieking with laughter as both boys reared off the sides of the bed in their haste to get away from each other. They peeked blushing faces over the top of the bed, glaring at the giggling beauty.
“I don’t like pe…male anatomy!” Jacob declared. Scarlett gave one last giggle before stretching; drawing both boys’ eyes to her more sexual beauty.
“It’ll come eventually. A few years from now probably, you’ll not be able to resist. And I’ll be there, enjoying the entire ride.” She winked suggestively while both boys stared at each other, repulsed.
“But you’re an angel. You’re going to live forever.” Mason pointed out. She smiled gently at him, standing up and moving to the window. The boys followed, keeping a strict distance between them.
The three looked out and the boys followed Scarlett’s gaze to the ground, where a demon stalked angrily outside the barely visible barrier. Scarlett raised her hand and formed a cup shape with it. An ancient silver watch appeared; the two hands nearly on noon.
“Scarlett, you have barely thirty seconds! Destroy the demon and claim your rightful place.” Mason urged. He didn’t want his girl in even a sliver of pain he had seen last night. She turned to them, the watch suspending in air.
“We have a choice. I can destroy that demon and leave, never seeing the both of you ever again.” She murmured quickly. Both boys hesitated. Jacob stared at Mason who stared at Jacob. Neither could imagine such a thing.
“What’s the other choice?” Jacob asked. The ticking of the clock grew louder.
“Swear that we are each other’s and we’ll become immortal. Not as angel’s, but as God’s hands on earth. Guardians of sorts.” She said simply. The offer was too tempting. Too good to be true. Jacob, knowing a thing or two about the things he couldn’t believe in, spoke up.
“We can’t be that selfish. You’re an angel; it’s where you truly belong. I can’t, and I won’t, hold you back from this.” Mason murmured in agreement. The seconds hand was almost at the XII. Scarlett smiled a heartbreakingly sad smile and held her hands out to both of them.
“And I would give up everything that I am to stay here with you two. I give up any pride, glory, accomplishment, joy, fulfillment, and breath to see the two of you happy forever.” Scarlett promised. The boys gave her one last look of sorrow.
“I’ll remember you.” Each boy whispered as the seconds hand hit the XII and then it was dark for a single second before returning to normal.
She was gone.
The boys leaned a hand each against the window, watching the barrier descend, the evil demon smirking and taking a single step forward. A figure swooped down from above the boys’ point of view and struck the demon with a bolt of light; the figure’s gorgeous white wings like a new paint brush dipped in red paint to the tips. Her figure was gloriously naked, no shame in sight. Her brown hair swirled around her as she flapped her graceful appendages to slow her descent to the ground. She touched down upon it and lifted her hand high. A sword appeared, too great to describe, and filled her fingers. The angel swung it with practiced ease and struck it into the ground as she knelt with it.
The light that appeared from the gash in the earth was too great to comprehend but the boys could see the outline of a man who touched the angel’s beautiful head and then stroked each quivering wing.
Jacob and Mason cried out in horror as the wings fell to the ground, evaporating into silvery mist before touching the ground. The girl shivered and seemed to shrink slightly before the light disappeared and darkness reigned within the room once more.
When sight was restored, both boys spun around to face the bemused woman before them. She was almost the same as before, with less power and less superiority. She held more compassion and strength.
“What happened?” Jacob whispered. Scarlett threw back her head and laughed richly.
“I told God my very first prayer, as angel’s never pray, and he granted it.” Mason gasped in enlightenment.
“Angel’s never pray. But you did. Therefore you were never completely an angel.” Scarlett nodded in excitement.
“He granted us our second choice. We are now God’s Guardians on Earth. Do you accept?” She asked them with solemn seriousness. Both boys grabbed her outstretched hand as one.
“We do” They spoke together. A powerful feeling swept through them and they felt senses strengthening, awakening. Bodies filled with indescribable power and knowledge. As it became adjusted, Mason eyed Scarlett with pure joy before turning and appraising his best mate turned soul mate.
“Scarlett?”
“Yes Mason?”
“Isn’t God all for women and men, not men, men, and then women?” Scarlett chuckled as Jacob nodded in agreement.
“God is all for anything that is pure and true. So, most definitely he will go for man and man, woman and woman, and even both of each together.” Scarlett grinned. Jacob looked over his best friend now turned soul mate and decided something.
“You’ll do.” He declared. Mason gave a bark of laughter and the three shared an amused glance.
“God has a great sense of humor.” Mason decided. Scarlett blinked at her boys, who grinned back at her.
“You have no idea.”
