Sleeping on Friday night was hard.

But waking up on Saturday morning was easier.

I seriously felt nothing different about myself.

I rolled, probably forgetting for the fiftieth time since I got here that I wasn't on my queensized bed.

I landed gracefully on the floor.

Now I felt something--Pain.

"Happy Birthday Stells!" I heard Roxie shout from nowhere.

I flinched at the sudden sound as my eyes tried to adjust to my surroundings.

"How is our queen doing?" She asked, her face glowing with happiness.

I'm so glad she's here--

"I'm in damn pain, Roxie," I replied and she laughed.

She's so fond of that, she finds almost everything hilarious.

"Fuck! What's the time?" I asked, noticing how loud and noisy everywhere had become.

"It's already nine or so...you know you slept late last night," she replied.

We usually worked every morning, we had a roaster for every day of the week but Saturday was a general work day so we had to wake up early in order to be able to finish all the work on time before the work inspector arrives.

"Am I in trouble? I haven't done my work? Is the work inspector here yet? Why didn't you wake me up?!"I blurted out all the questions at once, my voice getting higher with each one.

Calm down B....you're already an adult, you shouldn't be crying this much," she replied.

Yeah...an adult, it suddenly felt so weird.

Buy hey! I wasn't crying.

The work inspector already left ages ago, I did your work....or at least bullied someone else to do it," she said the last sentence with her voice as low as a whisper.

"But that's the least I could do for you...since, there's not much I can be able to do for you on your special day," she said, usinh her palm to rub nervously against the back of her neck with her gaze averting left and right so that she wouldn't meet my gaze.

I can't believe that I'll ever think this, but she looked damn adorable.

"Thanks so much....thank you for being here with me..." I trailed of.

She might not have been one of the best type of friend in the world but she was just as sweet.

"I seriously don't know what I'll be able to do without you," I continued since she didn't give out a response.

She smiled.

And it was more than enough response for me.

"Aren't you done wishing already?!" Kelly shrieked.

Of course, my family can't just go MIA on my birthday.

They were already here with a few snacks, drinks, my gifts and obviously my birthday cake.

It wasn't much of a big party like I've dreamed of for like five years but atleast it'd been worth it so far.

I was with my family....My complete family.

They were dressed in either, long sleeves, sweaters or coats and I could tell that it was already getting cold outside.

Just like every other year on my birthday.

Kelly has been bent on eating my cake since she got here, repeatedly claiming that she was the one that picked the flavour.

Now, It was the time where I make my wish and blow off the burning candle on top of my cake but it seemed like the 'just a wish' rule couldn't work out at the moment because I had a lot of wishes in my mind and Kelly wasn't happy about that at all.

She claims that I'm just wasting time and the more we wait, the cake flavor keeps evaporating.

Dumbass.

"Shut up and let her do her thing," I heard Ivy scold Kelly through my closed eyes.

About three seconds later, when I was content with my wishes, I blew off the candle while a round of applause followed after that.

It seriously felt like I was celebrating my 10 years old birthday.

"So...we can cut the cake now, right?" Kelly insisted and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her.

Where the fuck is Roxie's sister?

Roxie wouldn't be allowed into the visiting room unless she actually do have a visitor.

"Yes, baby," my mom replied Kelly, already bringing out the knife to slice the cake.

"Aren't you going to call over any of your friends?" My dad asked.

"Yeah...how about that your friend you talked about earlier?" My mom continued.

Friends? They're speaking like I'm in a boarding school or something.

This is a Juvenile jail. People don't just make friends here.

Well....except Roxie.

And besides, it's even a privilege being allowed to throw this mini party in here.

"I don't think she'll be easily allowed in here--"

Just then, the other door of the visiting room swung open and a blonde lady of about Ivy's age stepped in.

She nodded her head and smiled towards us, meaning that she had acknowledged our presence before sitting down on another table.

I couldn't tear my gaze away from her.

Not only because she could be Roxie's sister...

But because she looked exactly like the girl I met in the icecream shop a few weeks back.

At 'Royal creams.'

The waitress that had spoken to me.

In about a minute, the door which I came from busted open and a grinning Roxie walked in, before enveloping the other girl in a bear hug.

That is definitely Rielle.

"Oh Holy Molly! Isn't that Roxie Johnes?" Kelly whisper-yelled and I smiled back at her.

"The one and only," I replied.

I could sense her glucose level rising up.

Let's just say Kelly is a fan.

Roxie said something to her sister, causing Rielle to look at me and smile.

I took that as my cue to introduce her too.

"Mom...Dad...Ivy...Kelly,  I want to introduce you to someone...the friend I told y'all about before," I started.

"Is it Roxie? OMG, Do you mean Roxie?" Kelly squealed.

I felt like slapping her on the head, Does she have to spoil my show.

Why does have to be this hyperactive, I wonder if she had drank something before coming here.

"Yeah," I replied.

I turned and signalled for her to come over.

"Greetings ma'm...sir," she acknowledged my parents presence before waving towards Kelly and Ivy who waved back.

I couldn't help but notice the look of horror on my mom's face which was quickly masked up.

"Nice to meet you," My mom greeted back.

"I'm Ivy," Ivy briefly introduced herself.

"I'm Kelly...these are my sisters and parents, I already know who you are though, even if I didn't know earlier you had such a beautiful sister, it'd really really a pleasure to meet you," Kelly blurted, the words flying out of her mouth so quickly.

"Same," Roxie replied.

"I'm Rielle...Roxie's older sister,"

"Nice to meet you Rielle," My dad replied.

"Thank you sir....Happy birthday Stella," she said.

"Thanks."

"We can start eating now, right?" Kelly asked.

"Mom...Dad...Roxie and her sister can sit with us, right," she asked again.

"Sure...there is room for two more," My dad was the one to reply.

They sat down on two of the remaining chairs on the table.

We started eating and it only took minutes for everyone to dive into the conversation.

Thanks to Kelly.

Always brewing up topics and trying her best to connect everyone together.

Everything went smoothly, we laughed, ate, talked, drank.

Basically anything a bunch of family members could do (In the visiting room of a Juvenile Detention Center, if I may add).

I couldn't help but notice the connection between Ivy and Rielle.

I don't know if they knew each other before or they just met here, but I'll be really glad if the both of them could become friends.

For all I know, Rielle is a very nice person.

About an hour and half later, it was time for them to go.

The officer on duty claimed that they've already stayed enough.

I couldn't even watch them leave because I was the one to leave first this time, with Roxie of course.

We got back to our cell room and it was locked before the officer poked her head inbetween the iron bars.

"Happy birthday, well, you wouldn't have to celebrate that here if you knew how to behave yourself, teenagers of these days..." she said before walking away.

I decided to ignore it, I was suddenly feeling the empty hole.

I suddenly miss them now.

"So, did you enjoy your birthday?" Roxie asked.

"Hmmm...not in some expensive club, dressed in one of the hottest outfit, drinking, dancing and mouthing the lyrics of booming music....but yeah, this works too," I said and we both snickered my reply.

"It would have been fun if it were the former. But with what had happened in the past...I realise you can't trade your family for anything...you should always cherish it," she said before walking towards the bonk bed and laying tiredly on the lower one while I just made myself comfortable on the floor.

Thirty minutes didn't even pass by before that same lady that brought me in came back again, unlocking the cell door and looking straight at me.

"Take this as a little birthday favor...someone is here to see you, so get your butt off that floor and get out here,"

I looked at the bed and noticed Roxie already sound asleep.

Who could it be? But ofcourse, I couldn't ask the woman, she was already being rude enough.

Is it because of my birthday?

Could it be any of my cousins, or maybe neighbors?

With each step I took, I could feel the curiosity eating me up.

The woman flung the visiting room door open and sitting with head down and a messy but adorable looking hair that seemed like fingers had been ran over it a million times, on one of the chairs.

Was no other than Timothy Stones.

What the fuck is he doing here?!

~~~~~~~
Note; I've never been to a Juvenile center before.
I'm writing this based on the little knowledge I have and please pardon me for thattt.
