I walked into the class containing just a few classmtes, I was a bit relieved that I didn't bump into Cheryl, Amber, Tianna or Daniel.
Lan is more than enough for one day. That guy is freaking crazy.
I could still hear the noise coming from the hallway and I silently prayed that Timothy was okay.
Lan isn't a normal person, he had hurt Timothy before and I hope he wouldn't again, especially because of me.
The memory of what happened with him last night made my face flush out of embarrassment.
I thought he wouldn't want to see my face again or have anything to do with me anymore, he'd probably seen me as a ho that just jumps onto any guy that comes her path no matter the situation, but he is the same one fighting for me when I have absolutely no one by my side.
I was still trying to find a suitable explanation for the stunt I pulled last night, what exactly made me kiss him?
He is just a friend....nothing more and I believe there's no extra feelings attatched.
I believe...
I just can't fall a victim three times in a row because of my stupid uncontrollable feelings.
I heard murmurings in the classroom and noticed a few people throwing daggers at me at me but I chose to ignore it as usual.
I sat on my seat and after about two minutes, the bell rang again, indicating the beginning of the next lesson period.
The noise in the hallway died down slowly as people started barging into the class for the next lesson.
Anyone that comes in and passes by looks at me for a while before finally looking away and it made me not wanting to look up from my table again.
I just stared down at my table like it had suddenly become a priceless artifact.
A few people came towards me and stood just beside the seat I was on. I looked up and noticed Tianna, Amber and Cheryl.
Great, they're here....
Note the sarcasm.
"Stand up," Tianna commanded.
"Why?"
"Because that's my seat," Cheryl said, dropping her bag straight on the table in front of me.
"So leave..." She continued, still glaring at me.
It hurts...
Trust me, it really does.
For the fact all these unbearable things are happening to me.
And it's worse for the fact I can't do any damn thing about it.
I took a deep breathe, grabbed my bag and stood up. I knew that I didn't have any other choice and I didn't want to cause any kind of scene.
Or start a fight I know I will lose.
I watched as Cheryl sat on my seat with Amber and Tianna beside her.
I had this lump in my throat as I stared at the trio but I should have seen this coming though, all I can do right now is to endure it.
I didn't even care if anyone or everyone was watching or what they were probably thinking of me, I walked away and found myself an empty seat at the back.
I opened my textbook on the table and looked around, the class was almost filled up but two people weren't around yet.
Immediately I thought of it, the door opened and Timothy walked in, like it was planned, our gazes locked before he looked away immediately.
That kinda hurts...
Almost everyone in the class looked his way and murmurings started arising. Seems like I'm not the only one surprised that Timothy would actually start up a fight with Lan.
Wait! Who am I kidding?
I've witness him almost kill someone right in front of my eyes.
The hairs on my skin erected a bit at the thought of that.
Maybe there's more to this guy than I know...than everyone knows...
I was relieved that atleast he wasn't hurt in any way just that his clothes had been a bit rumpled from the struggle.
He sat down on his usual seat before the mathematics teacher came in and lessons began.
Few minutes into the lesson, my phone vibrated from my bag. Out of curiosity, I bought it out to check and found out that I had unread messages from a familiar number.
I opened it and it read;
'Hey'
'Sorry about last night'
Last night? I felt a bit lost until it clicked and I remember whose number it was.
It was Timothy's and I remembered that he called a particular night when I wasted.
My cheeks reddened out of embarrassment again.
I wonder how I behaved, I wonder what I'd said.
I sighed mentally.
I have so much damn embarrassing moments with this guy.
'Don't be, it was my stupid fault, I lost control,' I texted back.
I looked at the front row, where Timothy was seated and I wondered how he was even texting when the teacher was right at the front.
'To be honest, I did too'
My flaced flushed red as I read that particular sentence and I couldn't help but have a kind of internal joy in my heart.
It made me wonder if kissing me back was just a mere mistake or something he'd wanted to.
Okay...what the hell is wrong with me. I wonder why my mind is as hyperactive as a four year old child.
Why the heck was I even taking this as a big deal?
It was just one empty kiss...one stupid mistake.
'I shouldn't have said what I said neither' He texted again.
My phone vibrated again.
'Whatever happened last night doesn't count, I promised to help you and that's exactly what I'm going to do."
*
I had been texting with Timothy in class for a while now and Mathematics lesson was close to being over.
He told me he would help me and we had a simple plan--Get the phone and delete the video.
It sounded so easy but it's easier said than done.
How the hell would I get Cheryl's phone?
Maybe, I didn't need to get it but at least have to find a way to distract her.
Immediately the teacher left the class, it became rowdy while Cheryl brought out her phone and started using it.
It was like I was stalking her every move from the back seat.
I just needed to think of something...at least use my brain for once.
I was so engrossed in watching her that I didn't even realise that Timothy had already walked up to me.
I ignored his presence and kept on staring at the phone in Cheryl's hands, it felt like my destiny was embedded there.
I watched as she had a little talk with Amber and Tianna, Amber opened her bag, brought out a bottle of milkshake and dropped it on Cheryl's table before they exchanged a brief session of 'goodbyes' and left.
Cheryl was now seated alone, engrossed on whatever she was doing on her phone while taking sips out of her milkshake.
I just stared, thinking of what I could possibly do right now.
It is now or never.
At least, that's what I think.
A hidden bulb in my head suddenly switched on and an idea popped up in my head.
A crazy one at that, but I just had to try my luck.
It could be successful...
Or not.
I looked towards Timothy and our gaze locked, that was when I realized that he'd been looking at me all the while.
And the proximity between our faces was high.
Like his lips were literally a finger length from mine.
The scene that happened last night played all over in my head and I flinched backwards immediately, trying to create as enough space in between us as possible.
I quickly put my self together in a second.
"I'll try to distract her while you please, get her phone and delete the video," I said, before spinning on my heels to make my move without even waiting for his reply.
I walked towards Cheryl.
When I was infront of her table, I took a deep and heavy breaths before finally talking out.
Here goes nothing....
"Hey."
She looked up immediately and I could notice the horrified look on her face.
I could tell what was in her mind;--Why the hell is she talking to me?!
"I know we've had our differences but I'm really sorry for everything that had happened," I started and she was still looking a bit confused.
"What the heck just entered you?" She asked.
"I...See....It's just that--" I tried to lean on the table and in that process, using my hand to mistakenly knock over her opened bottle of milkshake causing it to spill all over her jeans and the bottom hem of her sleeveless top.
Spill the drink all over her clothes--Checked.
"What the fuck!" She screamed, dropping her phone down on the table on reflex and standing up immediately from the chair.
Drop her phone--Checked.
"Shit! I'm so sorry," I said bringing out my handkerchief and trying to clean it up.
"What's wrong with you!" She screamed at me slapping my hands hard away from her.
Ouch!
Okay, that wasn't part of the plan.
"I promise to clean it up...I swear it was a mistake...My bad," I said trying to drag her out.
"Let's just get to the bathroom and clean it up properly...I'm really sorry for this," I pleaded, trying to drag her softly towards the exit of the class, making sure she had no opportunity to think of her bag or the phone she'd dropped.
"Let go!" She screamed at me, struggling to free her hand from my soft but firm grip.
"Please just let me clean this up....to show you that I'm really sorry," I kept apologizing as I succeded in taking her out of the class.
Finally!
I closed the door after me.
Get her out of the class--Checked.
I know that this isn't one of the best ideas ever had, neither is it so bad. But atleast I had done my part no matter how embarrassing it was, though the class was almost empty though, everyone else had already left except a few nerds but I just hope Timothy would be able to do his.
I just hope that he wouldn't let me down...
