I woke up with a jerk and switched off the alarm clock that was ringing loudly. I checked hithe time, it was 5:30pm. I ran to the bathroom had a quick shower put on a black summer gown and a red sandals with black purse, some makeup and combed my hair as I was checking myself at the mirror the doorbell rang I went immediately to open the door.

"I'm coming," I said as I opened the door for Jack. "Hi," I said.

Laughingly, I asked showing him the way inside. "which should I take?"

"All of them. But to be honest Liza you're beautiful," he said.

"Thanks, you don't look bad yourself," I said, blushing a little. Which was odd, I never blushed not even for a guy.

"Well, let me go put the apple pie in the oven. I thought maybe after dinner we could have a little pie in my house. I hope that's okay?" I asked heading to the kitchen.

"That's great."

"So where to?"

"I thought we could watch a little movie at the cinema, I wanted your opinion Ghost or Crazy Rich Asian, which one?"

"Crazy Rich Asian, please. I have always wanted to watch that romance movie."

"Then Crazy Rich Asian it is," he said as opened the car door for me.

After a thirty minutes drive, I and Jack were sitting in the cinema holding hands and watching a romance movie while eating popcorns.

After the movie we went to a restaurant downtown Manhattan, he ordered sea bass with herbs steamed with fresh vegetables while I ordered pasta primavera, which was very delicious to my surprise because I had never tasted or heard of it before and Vinto tinto wine which was 1986.

Immediately, after dinner we headed to my house but on my front porch, Jack kissed me fully on the lips which inflamed me but I had to withdraw from the kiss in enough time to open the door,enter the house run to the kitchen and check the pie.

"Pie is ready," I shouted from across the kitchen.

"Well I have other things in mind," Jack said raising me and putting me on my kitchen counter in front of the pie.

"Is late aren't you going home?" I asked him suddenly remembering detective John Travis and his checkup.

"Yeah, you're right. I've got to go to work early on the morning," he said getting dressed.

"I thought you've quit your job?" I asked standing up from the bed and tying my bedsheet on my body, while heading to the kitchen to drink water.

"No, I'm gonna get promoted very soon. So I can't quit," he said entering the kitchen and putting his hands on my waist.

"Well, congrats." I said taking his hands from my waist and leading him the door.

"Thanks."

"Bye," I said closing the door behind him. As I closed the door after him, I went to the bathroom, took a shower and went to bed.
