Noémie watches the small television screen as it has Tom and Jerry playing. Tom is chasing Jerry throughout the house creating a giant mess before he leaves a room to go to the next. While Jerry was running away from Tom dodging his hands and even setting out quick traps to slow Tom down.
It was a cat and mouse chase that she had knew very well due to her watching the show since she was little. Tom would come close to catching Jerry but as soon as Jerry finds a good moment he frees himself. Leaving Jerry to always be free and alive at the end while Tom would be yet again suckered out.
Chloé's high pitch laugh fills the living room up. A smile was evident on the young girl's face as she watches the cartoon. Her hands were thrown up into the air in victory whenever Jerry had escape Tom's evil clutches. Noémie couldn't help it but laugh as well finding comedy in the old television show again.
"Noémie, Chloé, Honey, breakfast." Her mother calls out for the two young girls who were sitting on the couch resting their bodies.
Thumps were heard hitting the floor boards as both girls' feet hit the ground with such a great impact you could feel the shakiness in the ground. Their lips held curvy smiles once their noses had caught the heaven scent of homemade french toast sticks. The homemade maple syrup was another sweet smell filing their noses, as they ran towards the kitchen to their awaiting chairs.
Noémie plops into the chair next to her sister, diving for the french toast sticks that were set on a plate before them all. Her mother smacks Noémie's hand before she could grip the breaded stick. Her face held a scowl towards her daughter while she stuck a finger out.
"Wait for your father to come down." Her mother sternly says while eyeing the two girls carefully.
Noémie rolls her eyes but nonetheless brings her hand down towards her lap letting it rest. Her right foot taps impatiently for waiting on her father who takes almost an hour just to get dress. He always has to make sure he looks the best so it can match his attitude that always hold "I am the best" mood.
Soon her fingers inch ever so closely towards the plate of french toast sticks. She takes a look at Chloé with a devious smile fixated on her lips once her younger sister saw what she was doing. Chloé also held a devious smile on her own lips knowing fully well she was going to tell on her sister if she dares to take one.
Chloé nods her head rapidly at Noémie just begging her to take one. Not two. But one. Just one piece of french toast stick so she could tattle. So she could make herself feel cooler than her own older sister.
"Do it." Chloé whispers.
Fingers hovering over the warm french toast sticks Noémie takes a look towards her mother first. Back towards the girls too busy finishing more to even see one gone, Noémie slowly but surely lets her fingers touch one french toast stick. The warmth of the bread had spread into Noémie's finger making her smile in triumph.
Shoving the breaded stick into her mouth Noémie's stomach growls for more food. While Noémie is too busy in her own world glorifying the bread stick, Chloé is hopping off the chair and racing towards her mother.
Pulling on her shirt Chloé shouts, "Momma, Noémie ate a french toast stick. Momma!"
Her own world was knock out of the teenage girl when she hears her little sister tattling on her. Mouth hung open she gasps loudly at Chloé.
"You told me to do it, you little brat!" Noémie points a finger accusingly towards her younger sister. An angry expression has taken over Noémie's once happy one.
"Noémie! I told you to wait for your father!" Her mother shouts while crossing her arms holding a scowl on her face. Chloé stood besides her mother with a pleasant smile adorn on her face.
"I was hungry, mom. You can't blame a starving deprived child from eating." Noémie flings herself back into her chair while throwing her hands into the air.
"There are children in Africa who are more starving than you right now. You could have wait a few more minutes." Noémie's mother walks towards her eldest daughter and whacks her on top of her head with the spatula.
Noémie groans from the hit while rubbing her hand over the spot she was hit at. Her eyes glares towards her younger sister who was watching their mother cook more french toast sticks. Mumbling incoherent words under her breath she grabs her keys and head towards school figuring she could just eat the school's breakfast food instead.

"Did you hear Waylon Forge died last night?" Angela grips onto Noémie's elbow once she had saw the girl walking towards the doors that headed outside for lunch. Angela had watch the news early that morning stating that Waylon was killed by an animal attack late last night.
"And I care why?" Noémie questions her friend not really seeing as the death of some man was a problem to her especially since she didn't know him. Unless the man was someone she knew she could have cared less if it was the mayor who had been killed.
"They're saying he was killed by some rogue animal. I think it's a mountain lion but Eric thinks it's a bear." Angela goes on about what animals could have killed the poor old man while Noémie internally groans.
"How did asking Eric to prom go?" Noémie asks once she sits down next to Bella and kindly glares at a sun bathing Jessica. Noémie wanted to change the subject from the dead man onto a lighter note one.
"I'm going to prom with Eric. I just asked him. I took control." Angela smiles brightly at her friends. She was thankful that she had listen to them or else she would be dateless to Prom.
"We told you that would happen." Bella says while nudging Noémie. Angela pulls both girls into a short meaningful hug.
"Are you sure you have to go out of town?" Angela asks Bella not understanding why the girl had to leave during prom.
"Wait you're ditching me to be stuck with these losers at prom?" Noémie points her thumb towards Jessica and Angela while asking Bella. This was the first time she had ever heard Bella say she wasn't going to prom.
"Oh, yeah, it's a little family thing." Bella bites her apple while shrugging her shoulders not really liking the ideal of prom. "Maybe next year?"
"Bullshit. Are you not coming because Edward didn't ask you? I can make him ask you if you want." Noémie crosses her arms while looking at Bella closely. She didn't fully believe the family trip thing since Angela had whisper in her ear that Bella had no clue when prom was but still said she had to leave. It was odd timing.
"What? No! I'm just visiting my mom that's it." Bella says defensively. Noémie hums quietly while nodding her head.
"Okay, we should go shopping in Port Angeles before all the good dresses get cleaned out." Jessica states still sun bathing on the bench.
"I hate dress shopping." Noémie whispers grumpily towards Bella while leaning her head on the girl's shoulder. "Take me with you, please."
"If you're down with meeting my mom then I don't care." Bella says kind of nervously.
Noémie's face lights up like the fourth of July when she hears that sentence. She excitedly says, "Hell yeah I want to meet your mom. Her and I will be the best of friends, I already know it."
Nodding her head Bella talks to Angela about the shops in Port Angeles. Noémie quickly texts her mom and dad asking them if she could go with Bella to meet her mom instead of going to Prom. Noémie never really was one for big fancy dances that costs a lot money for one night. She was more of the easy cheap dances like Homecoming when you could just dress up for fun for that year's theme.
