Lunch time rolled around as Noémie was just leaving her fourth class today towards the small room filled with teenagers that she didn't like.
It was Noémie's first day and she could already say she hated everyone and everything about Forks. The rudeness and gossip teenagers made her dislike it the most. She couldn't believe she would meet people more rude than angry Russians. She visited Russia during spring break two years ago.
Plus everybody always talked about one another here and then go around and act like they were just the best of friends. One great example was Jessica Stanley and some girl name Bella Swan. Apparently Bella was a new girl who was insanely obsessed with a guy name Edward Cullen. Bella would always stare at him but he tried to switch classes or how Bella would try to leave him alone and then he would be a happy care bear to her.
Noémie didn't know any of them so she assumed Edward was bipolar and Bella was some stalker chick who would go to extreme measures like fall down the stairs in front of him.
When Noémie entered the cafeteria she spotted Eric waving her over towards him. Clutching her tray tighter she could see Jessica and what look to be a good description of a girl name Bella. Jessica was fake laughing as Bella looked to be in outer space. Noémie sat her tray down right in between Eric and Mike.
"Hey puffball, how's the first day going?" Mike asked as he messed up the blonde's hair.
Scrunching up her face Noémie replied, "C'est naze cul. Les Américains sont si stupides." Everybody at the table now looked at the girl in confusion as she just spoke her native tongue. "It was alright." Rolling her eyes at Americans dumbness.
"I'm pretty sure that didn't mean just alright." Eric spoke as he eyed the girl questionably.
Noémie couldn't help it but right now all she kept repeating in her head is that she hopes the lord himself gives her enough strength to finish up the couple of months with these stupid teenagers. If anyone else in the room could read minds they would know how much she hated everybody except no one could so she was fine.
Well so she thought. Sitting in the table next to her was Edward Cullen and he was caught choking on air as he was trying so hard not to laugh loudly. The blonde's mind was violent yet comical at the same time. His foster brothers and sisters gave him a weird look as they never really seen Edward like this.
Looking over Noémie was caught eyeing the group as she was wondering what was so funny that the others weren't laughing at. Feeling eyes on them the Cullens looked right back at Noémie trying to make her back down and look away, all except Alice of course.
Noémie's eyes roamed each and every one of them not feeling ashamed of being caught either. When her eyes landed on the golden hair boy it was like looking death in the eye. The boy looked rather angrily at the girl, he looked was ready to kill her any second. Rolling her eyes at the golden hair boy she turned back around and focused her attention on Angela.
Feeling eyes on the back of her head made Noémie want to turn around even more than she did before hand. Except she didn't want to cave into their looks so she easily flipped her hair back and went on to listening.
In Noémie's head she was having a conversation with herself. She was debating whether or not if Jessica Stanley was a class A bitch or if she was as fake as her toilet paper stuffed boobs. Noémie was debating hard on which one described Jessica better. Jessica was easily a bitch as she wanted to put her own input into other people's life or how she faked laugh at almost anything Bella or Mike said. If Mike was laughing then you were able to see Jessica was laughing as well. Then when Jessica bends over you could see the toilet paper sticking out a bit seeing as she stuffed her bra to make her mosquito bites look at least an A Cup. Noémie had to stop herself three times already as she wanted to yank it out and confront the girl about it except it would be a bit too rude.
Noémie scrunched up her face as something hit it, making her snap back into reality. Looking down to see what was thrown Noémie saw a piece of carrot laying on the table.
"Why did you throw this at me?" Noémie questioned the group of friends.
"We asked you a question and you obviously weren't paying attention to anything we said." Jessica said as she shrugged her shoulders and caught the carrot that Noémie had thrown at her.
"We were wondering if you wanted to go to La Push with us? Mike, Eric, and Jessica are going surfing but you, Bella, and I can go whale watching." Angela spoke up making Noémie drop her glare and look at Angela with a soften expression.
"That sounds like fun actually. I've never seen any whales so it would be a good experience." Noémie smiled at Angela making her face break out into a huge smile.
"You've never seen a whale before!? They're so beautiful! You're going to love it." Angela squealed making Noémie giggle at her excitement.
Noémie got up with her tray and dumped her leftover food into the garbage. Angela was still rambling on about the whales when she got up but it made Noémie smile. She was happy to hear about one of Angela's favorite things when the conversation before was about Jessica and her "horrible" day.
"Hey Noémie!" Alice said as she dumped her whole food into the trashcan. Noémie smiled at her other friend she had made today.
"Hello Alice. Didn't like the food?" Noémie questioned nodding her head towards the trashcan as they stood beside it.
"Oh no not really. School food is horrible. I usually go home and eat anyway." Alice said as she now thought about the upcoming project. "I was wondering what you were doing tomorrow."
"You took the words right out of my mouth." Noémie giggled. "Nothing that I know of right now, why?"
"Oh nothing just wondering." Alice smiled sweetly at the girl as the bell rung make Noémie look nearly jump at out of skin.
"Looks like I gotta go. I'll talk to you later." Noémie shouted as she started to walk away from the pixie hair girl.
Noémie's next class was art. She wasn't that fond of art since she hated how they made her draw their way. She hated getting graded on how good her drawings were or if they were shaded dark enough and not one shade too dark or light. Noémie liked drawing her way and to doodle freely.
As Noémie entered the room she saw teenagers scattered about leaving plenty of open seats for her to sit down. Seeing as the teacher wasn't in there she decided to pick her own seat. She was happy to see a golden long hair boy sitting by himself and no one else sitting around him. Debating whether or not to sit down she picked the lather and grabbed the seat diagonal from the stranger.
Noémie could see that the teenage boy had stiffened up a bit once she had sat down. She guessed he wasn't use to people sitting by him so she didn't worry about it.
The bell rung once again as a young male teacher walked in. He was quite handsome for a school teacher. Once Noémie saw the muscles in his arm flex a bit she knew America just got a whole lot better.
"Hello students. Today we are going to work on a project. You and a partner will have to draw a popular cartoon character from any decade you want and make them look realistic. Then after that you will have to make a 3-D sculpture of this cartoon character." The teacher spoke as teenagers were looking towards their friends to be their partners.
Except Noémie never got an eye towards her making her sad as no one wanted to be her partner. She was new and didn't know anyone but she at least hoped for someone to offer to be hers. Except no one did and no one paid attention to her as the teenagers ran to sit by their partners as they gossip about the latest news they heard.
Noémie was seen with a frown on her face but her feeling of feeling sad wasn't there no more. Now there was a feeling of calmness which weird her out. How was she suddenly calm over something she was just sad about?
Noémie watched as everybody had a partner except the golden hair boy in front of her. She caught his beautiful golden eyes looking at her, heat rose to her face as she made eye contact with him.
"Looks like everyone has a partner," Noémie started, "Would you like to be my partner?"
The boy gave her a glare and an annoyed hum before he spoke up, "I work alone. And if you don't know what alone means, it means just me."
Noémie's eyes widen at how rude the boy was. She only asked him if he wanted to be partners, afraid he might have wanted one but no one would have chose him.
"Excuse me, sir. I know what alone means. I know it clear enough that with attitude like yours, you're going to be alone the rest of your life." With that being said Noémie got up and moved seats. She stormed towards a group of four guys and took a seat next to one of them that had brown short hair. He looked to be your typical American jock that always wore his team jersey around.
Noémie grumbled some nasty words under her breath as she tried to be nice to him.
"Hello there, you must be Noémie." The short brown hair boy smiled at the puffy blonde hair girl. "I'm Carter. Quarterback of the school's football team."
With the roll of her eyes Noémie replied back, "So do you always present yourself with where you played on some stupid team that just might like a tiny bit might get you a scholarship to College? Because if so you're really stupid. No girl cares if you're the quarterback or a damn water boy." Noémie knew she just blew up on the poor boy who didn't deserve it but she was angry from the golden hair boy and couldn't stop her mouth once it started.
The three other boys started laughing at how their friend was now embarrassed. He was blown away at the girl's words. Then he got angry as his friends were laughing at him and how he got embarrassed.
Before the boy could voice his words the golden hair boy had walked up towards Noémie and yanked her on her feet. He dragged her back over towards the spot she just left. She was pushed down on her seat as she left a groan leave her lips.
"What was that for?" Noémie grumbled at the boy as his fist was tighten up and his face held a scowl on it.
"That boy wanted to hurt you. I just saved you, so you could say you're welcome." The golden hair boy spoke through gritted teeth making Noémie look up and see the brown hair boy was now giving her a dirty glare.
Noémie easily flipped him off with a roll of her eyes as she replied back to the boy, "Look I didn't need you to save me. I could've handled it on my own. I'm a big girl I can hold my own weight and don't need anybody to "save" me. I'm not a freaking damsel in distress." Noémie's words made the strange boy start to laugh as he could tell she wasn't really lying. She wasn't afraid of anyone and she definitely wouldn't go down without a fight. "Plus I laugh at the face of danger. Ha. Ha. Ha."
The boy looked up at the girl as he realized where that quote was from, "Did you just quote The Lion King?" His eyes narrowed at her as she froze from her laughter.
Noémie's face brighten up as the boy as he got her reference, "You've seen The Lion King?"
"Of course I have. It's a classic cartoon movie that Disney made." The boy stated as he smiled seeing how excited she was for him knowing about the old movie.
"Oh my gosh. We are going to be the best of friends whether you like it or not. I love The Lion King," Noémie rambled on about her liking until she stopped short realizing she never introduced herself, "I'm Noémie Lafon."
She stretched her hand out towards the boy as he returned the favor.
"I'm Jasper Hale," Jasper spoke making Noémie's insides flutter as he shook her hand. Noémie's mind went into a frantic state. No. Not again. I won't let it happen again.
