It's been a few years since the girls and Stefan graduated high school.

Once they were done with high school, Bonnie, April, Elena, Rebekah, Stefan and Kol become students of college, while Klaus and Caroline decided to travel the world, starting with Paris, Rome and Tokyo, the three places Klaus offered to take her in the night they had their first dance.

Bonnie majored in Occult Studies and become a college teacher of Occult Studies, not only because it had something to do with magic, but also because it was what her Grams used to teach and she wanted to follow her grandma's steps.

Rebekah and Stefan, found a way of enjoying being vampires, appreciating how simple things could be so much more thanks to how being a vampire made everything more intense but also by doing things that humans do. They went to college, Rebekah decided to study fashion while Stefan studied Finance.

Elena hated that because she was a vampire she would always have to drink blood, being from animals or humans. She wanted to give back and help others, so she followed her parents footsteps and decided to study medicine. Elijah become so happy for Elena that he quickly bought a place so it would be Elena's clinic when she would become able to have her own clinic to help others.

Kol found out in college they made degrees to someone be able to play a certain sport professionally, making him quickly go buy a new baseball bat. Kol also become a frat boy because of the big parties. April decided to follow her dream of becoming a writer and Kol was always very supportive, making her get into writing contests and small things like that, so she could start to get known. He never used compulsion because he knew she was talented enough to get her work to get noticed without any vampire help.

Bonnie made a spell on herself and on April so they wouldn't age very fast, so they could have more time to turn into a vampire. They both needed that spell because turning into a vampire was a life changing decision that they wouldn't be able to take back if they regret it.

April wanted time because she wanted to accomplish a few of her dreams as a human and Bonnie wanted time because she heard stories about how Kol felt awful when become unable to practice magic and how he let himself be driven by his bloodlust because the thing he most cared, his magic, about was taken away from him.

Bonnie lived with Damon and they lived next to Elijah and Elena, Stefan and Rebekah, Kol and April and Klaus and Caroline.

Bonnie become a college teacher of Occult Studies like her grandma and whenever she found a witch, she helped them in practicing spells and handling their power because she knew how complicated could be to maintain control of the magic, proof of that was all the windows she accidentally broke with her magic.

Damon and Stefan decided to be co-owners of a bar called The Bite (Kol's idea), Stefan took care of the financial part while Damon took care of stocking the drinks and inventing new drinks.

Damon found himself enjoying this normal way of living in a town that made them not so worry with the supernatural world.

Rebekah ended up designing her own clothing line and having her own shop with her own clothes but she didn't make it very big because she knew that being a vampire would make them need to move eventually, once people would start to talk about how they never aged.

One day, Rebekah found a kid that was a witch and was abandoned by her father, so Rebekah took her home and after a long conversation with Stefan, the two of them decided to adopt the kid and raised her as their own child. They always wished to be parents and they saw this witch kid as the universe's way of giving them a chance to be parents without worrying with putting a (human) child's life in danger because of them being vampires. They decided to raise this little girl as their own and they felt that she was what their lives as been missing and that now, after so many years of pain, they finally found a way to have their own little family, even if it wasn't the most normal one.

April used all the things that happened to her in Mystic Falls to write her first book, that become a best-seller, it was a story about a girl who found out about the existence of vampires and how she had to choose between her human father and her immortal friends, the ones she considered like family. Her book was obviously based on what happened in Mystic Falls but she changed a few details about vampires weaknesses and powers. What made her book be such a hit was that was more a story about a vulnerable human becoming stronger without turning into a vampire and because in her story the main character had no love interest (because she was afraid if she would write about a love interest, the story would become like all the other vampire stories) and was simply about the power of friendship and what truly meant to be family.

Kol become a baseball coach but many times he would travel with April so she could promote her book and in the meantime, he would share with her the things each place offered, making him truly enjoy, for the first time, to travel around the world, getting to know the different cultures.

Elena had now her own personal clinic, all thanks to Elijah, who become the owner of his own book store. They both enjoyed having this calm human lives, even if they were vampires, because they felt how nice it was enjoying the simple things a human life could give them. Elena wanted to do right by others and help them, wanting to follow the footsteps of her parents, while Elijah, for the first time, enjoyed having a normal simple life surrounded by his favourite hobby, literature, and his favourite woman, Elena Gilbert.

Klaus and Caroline were now officially mates, which meant they couldn't stay long without each other and if they ever slept apart, they would wake up closer to each other because their wolf side just couldn't be without their mate. Klaus did felt the desire of torturing Damon in the most painful way because of what he did to Caroline when she was human but he knew how important it was to Caroline for Damon to be okay, especially because he was the brother of one of her best friends and the boyfriend of another one of her best friends. But Klaus did make Damon apologize to Caroline for everything he did to her without Caroline knowing it was Klaus who made Damon do it.

They travelled the world for a while but ended up going to live where their family was because they missed them and video chatting just wasn't the same.

Caroline ended up writing and singing a few songs of her own but didn't become very known because she didn't want to make that her profession, and wa somou able to write and make the songs she did because of Klaus's encouragement and support. Caroline ended up encouraging Klaus to make expositions of his paintings and selling a few of his art works because she knew he was a great artist and she felt his work deserved to be appreciated and recognized by others so she convinced Klaus and, he with the name Nick Miller, was able to have his work worldwide known and admired as well as selling his works by a bunch of money.

They were all now in the Bite and April decided to raise her glass, making everyone look at her.

"I just wanted to say something. You guys are amazing and I see you as my own family. I couldn't have found better people to call family than you. So I wanted to raise a glass and make a toasts to all of you. We all have been through a lot and because we maintained United we are all here together and stronger than ever. I mean, Bekah and Stefan have a kid, Bonnie and Damon are the proof that love is stronger than anything, vampires and witches usually don't go well but these two are amazing... I have this amazing boyfriend who people think is just childish but I see as the sweetest guy ever and without him I wouldn't be able to have written my first book... Elena has her own clinic all because of Elijah and they are just this adorable nerdy couple who loves literature... And of course there's Klaus and Care, they make such a hot and stubborn couple, and they made each other better and keep daring each other to follow their dreams. You guys have no idea how happy I am that I got to be friends with you."

"You didn't got to become our friend, you got to become a member of this crazy ass family." Rebekah said.

"And no matter what. No matter how many travels we make or how many times we will have to be apart. We will always remain together. Always and Forever." Elijah said.

"To Always and Forever." April said.

"To always and Forever." Everyone repeated and drank.

No matter if they all shared blood or not nor if they didn't spend every day together, the truth is that they would be there for each other for Always and Forever and that they consider themselves as a big happy family.

They were aware that because they belonged to the supernatural world their lives wouldn't always be drama free, which only made them enjoy even more these peaceful times.

One thing that they were sure was that no matter how bad things could get, they would count on each other because they were family and they knew that family was all they had when everything seemed to fall apart. Like Elijah always say, Family is power. And like Caroline says, true love is stronger than anything and by true love isn't just a love between a man and a woman but also the love of family.

It was quite amusing how people from different families found their way to each other's lives and made one big family of their own which made them happier and stronger.

Separated they could take great care of themselves but united they were invincible.

That's the great thing about family, family is what makes us get up and keep fighting, keep growing, keep living and keep loving. Family and true love are power because without them they are nothing but immortal creatures without any reason of keep living. Family and true love is what makes them strong and feel truly alive.

AN: Hey guys! Prepare yourselves for a long AN XD

I started this story on my birthday (11/03/2019) and now I'm finishing it (11/06/2019). That's right I was able to write an entire story with over 100 chapters in 3 months and it's all because of you.
I hope you enjoyed this last chapter, I thought it would be nice making the last chapter showing how their lives were after all that drama.

When I started this story I wasn't planning on much drama but things obviously changed... That's what I love about writing a fanfic, I can plan all I want about what will happen but ultimately it will be the story and you showing me the way.
I know I'm always saying this but the truth is that no matter how many stories I write, how many votes/comments/reads I get or how many people follow me, I am still mind blown with all the support you give me. There's no words to describe how happy and grateful I am to have your support and help.
I appreciate all of your input and I don't care if you speak/comment in Portuguese (shout out to who speaks Portuguese because that's my native language), English, Italian, French, Spanish or whatever your native language is, the truth is that if I don't understand the language you speak I go to a translator just so I can know what you think and how you feel and then I'll answer in your language because it's one of the small things I can do to show you I care about you, all of you.
I'm sorry if I sound cheesy or repetitive but I just can't find words to thank you and to say what your support and help means to me.
