Chapter 7
"Alone time. Great." The ghost groaned. "What's your problem? I like it here. Why didn't you invite me before?" Thatch asked. "Oh I don't know, maybe because you're always mean to me?" The smaller one muttered.
The vampire layed on the ghost's sofa, sitting up and gasped playfully offended: "That's not true. I'm kissing you very carefully." "Yeah that makes up for the bullying." Casper hissed "I think it's a pretty good appolgie." Thatch explained laughing. "If you think so." The ghost answered annoyedly.
Thatch streched. "I was wrong, your place is boring." The vampire muttered. "Thanks I guess." Casper answered deciding to not let the vampire tease him anymore. Thatch sat up and watched Casper, who cleaned the livingroom and kitchen.
"You clean a lot don't you?" The taller one asked bored. "Yes." Casper answered in a monotone voice. "Why?" Thatch asked. "Someone has to, especially after you invited four people over.", Casper answered in a bitter tone.
The vampire groaned and rolled from the sofa. "Chill if we want to get trough with that we need to annoy them and forcing them to spend time with us is the perfect way to do so." He explained.
The taller one scuffed over to his fake boyfriend, who stood in the kitchen and cleaned the dishes. He leaned against the counter next to Casper.
The taller one then became silent for a few minutes. This silence became weird, as it always did. So Casper asked: "Are you okay? You haven't said anything annoying for a while now." He asked, trying to seem confident. "Yeah. I'm just thinking." Thatch answered. "Thinking about what?" The ghost asked. Purple eyes scanning him."Let's take a shower." Thatch wispered.
The blue eyed boy chocked. "W..what?!" He asked while turning around, looking at the taller one with disbelief. "For show." Thatch clarifyed before thinking again. "But I really want to shower, I couldn't take one before class." He added. "Feeling dirty for lying?" The ghost joked awkwardly, sighing as Thatch wasn't laughing.
"No, but at least one of us has to look like we had a nice time~", the vampire wispered. The smaller one blushed. He cleared his throat. "You're crazy." Casper mumbled turning away again.
Thatch grabed the other ones wrist and dragged him away from the sink. "Thatch, that was a funny joke and all but... don't we...overdo it." Casper asked while trying to get out of Thatch's grip.
"What do you mean?" The vampire asked annoyed. "Lieing to our friends, instead of talking to them." Casper explained. They stepped up the stairs while Thatch answered: "You're a coward, you wouldn't dare to complain to your friends. This door?" Casper nodded but bit his lip. Sadly Thatch was right, the ghost hated confrontations. He was scared of their reactions.
He didn't realize, that they already stood in the bathroom. Thatch looked at his phone. "They'll be here in five minutes." The vampire explained. "Oh well then maybe we shouldn...what the fuck are you doing!" Casper shrieked, turning red instantly.
The vampire was about to undress. The shorter one turned around and covered his eyes. "Like I said you're too uptight." Thatch teased. Casper muttered: "And you're too..." "Hot, I know." Thatch interrupted with confidence and turned to the shower.
He disapeared behind the shower curtain and the ghost sat down on the floor. That vampire was way to good at reasonig or Casper was convinced too easily.
It was silent except for the sound the water made. Casper thought about what he could say to his friends. It could be so easy. He just had to explain how he felt. Then he remembered how terrible it could end when you explain your feelings.
Suddenly they could hear something. Someone seemed to come upstairs, probably stepping toards the door. Thatch pushed the curtain aside and looked trough the small gap.
When they saw, that the door-handle shaking. Casper froze. He couldn't remember if Thatch had locked the door.
The ghost flinched, when he could feel a wet hand on his wrist. He got pulled into the shower, which made the shower curtain fall back. The smaller one was too confused to question the situation.
He could feel Thatch's lips on his, and the vampires hands on his hips immediately. Out of reflex the ghost kissed back. They separated when they could hear a gasp.
Casper was paralyzed, not able to answer while Thatch turend to the creature, Mantha, who was frozen, bright red and covering her eyes. "Oh my...I..I'm so sorry...hah...I..I gotta go." It took a while until she stumbled out of the room.
Thatch's eyes followed her and he started laughing, while he still held Casper, who was still frozen and just stared at the taller one.
The vampire interrupted the silence. "You can leave now." Thatch ordered while taking his hands from Casper. The ghost nodded paralyzed and was about to leave the room.
"Hey! I meant the shower, not the room! It's important, that we leave together." Thatch hissed like it was somekind rule.
Thatch dryed himself and got dressed. His fake boyfriend stared at the door when the vampire touched his shoulder. The ghost flinched once more, while the taller one teased him. "Again you're too uptight."
"And you're just way to confident." Casper muttered still blushing, when they both left the room. They both came down the stairs and saw their friends.
Ra was sitting with Mantha on the sofa. Her nervouity, Ra tried to comfort her but he seemed pretty amused and tried to hide his grin. Dummy and Slither stood near the kitchen.
Thatch stepped into the livingroom, like nothing happened. " 'Sup Guys." He greeted sounding rather annoyed. "Hey lovebirds." Dummy joked. "Shut up." Thatch muttered, crossing his arms. The wooden girl giggled, while the vampire roled his eyes.
Casper rushed pass them and greeted his friends. Mantha blushed and appolgized once again. "Ah no it's okay, we should have locked the door." He muttered. Now Ra had to laugh out loud. "Did you two...?" He was interrupted by his own wheezing. "In the shower?!" Ra wishpered out of breath. "And you forget to lock the-" He giggled.
The ghost tryed to answer but couldn't because of Ra's laughing. Mantha meanwhile turned red and stopped him by raming her ellbow into his side. Casper sighed. Wait? What was he supposed to answer. Well he knew what Thatch would want him to answer but this would be even more lying.
"Y...n...kind o...n..None of your business..." He stuttered as confident as he was able too. Casper flinched when Thatch grabbed the ghost's shoulders and kissed his cheek. "It's up to interpretation." Thatch smirked and pulled Casper away to search for a movie they could watch later.
"This literaly answers nothing at all." Ra muttered somewhat offended.
A few hours later they all sat on the couch or on a mattress infront of the couch. They watched some splater movie. Well three out of six did. Slither and Dummy Girl were making out. Mantha just cuddled onto Ra and was sleeping.
Thatch and Casper were sitting next to each other. The ghost had layed his legs once again on Thatch's legs to feel more comfortable.
The vampire was grumpy. He wanted to be the annoying one. But somehow Dummy and Slither mamaged to take that from him.
He sighed and leaned back, the movie was pretty boring. And a few hours later only Casper and Thatch were awake, even tough Thatch had trouble to keep his eyes open.
Casper couldn't help but smile as he looked at Thatch, who was fighting the urge to sleep. It was around 3 am so it was probably for the best to let him sleep.
The ghost got up and immediately recieved a confused look by Thatch. "You should sleep I see how tried you are." Casper suggested while grabbing the bowl of popcorn Ra was clinging onto. "Don't tell me what to do." The vampire complained and rubbed his eyes.
An eyeroll. Casper layed a blanked over Dummy and Slither who had fallen asleep without one before he grabbed their two cups. Now Thatch was rolling his eyes. "You're such a pain you know that?" He asked before collecting the five plates they had eaten from.
He wouldn't have admit that he'd never eaten better lasagna than the one Casper made. But everyone else had told the ghost so he must have known.
The ghost seemed surpirsed when Thatch handed him the plates. "Thank you." He muttered with a slight smile.
"What ever." The vampire answered.
Once again he leaned next to Casper who was cleaning the dishes. "So how long will you stay up?" Thatch asked. The ghost looked at him in confusion. "Aw come on do you really think I didn't notice you staying up til...well too late." The vampire explained.
An 'Uh'-sound was the only thing Casper could make before Thatch continued talking. He wasn't listening though. If Thatch noticed in only two nights Ra would by now have caught up to that wouldn't he?
Thatch snapped his with fingers which brought the ghost back to reality. "Did you even listen to me?" He asked with a smirk. "Sorry what?" Casper asked nervously. The vampire responded with an eyeroll.
"Your lifestyle is so fucked up. Aren't you worried about yourself? You sleep like what? Three hours? And don't get my started on your eating habbits. I haven't seen you eating in two months or something. I noticed that without hanging around you all day and now it's even worse." Thatch complained.
Casper grinned akwardly. "Aww you're worried." He chuckled trying to avoid a confrontation. Thatch seemed offended. "I'm not worried I'm just spilling facts you should work on that." The vampire hissed.
Now he paniced. No one had ever worried about him or did notice his behaviours (or had decided to talk about it) "Anyway...it's none of your business." Casper muttered finishing the last plate.
He could feel Thatch's eyes glaring at him. "You should lay down it's late." Casper insisted again trying to ignore his own hypocrisy. "Only if you lay down with me." The vampire answered.
Casper flinched and truned around. "What?!" He gasped. "You heard me, your idiots need think we're actually sleep next to each other, and your stomping in the morning will wake them so they won't see us." The vampire explained.
Before Casper could even think about something to say he was pulled to the sofa. "Listen Thatch I don't know If-"
It was too late. They both layed in the sofa covered in a blanket. Spooning of course. Casper was a little disapointed in beeing the little spoon. Just because it was too obvious. But he couldn't change it anyway.
Thatch was cold but not in an unpleasant way. It was nice to be held because he was strong. It had those vibes you get when you hug Ra but a little less extroverted...if that makes any sence at all.
Now they layed there. Casper was almost certain that Thatch was already asleep since the vampires breathing got slower and more rythmic. He was alone with himself and his thoughts. Great. Absolutly great. He couldn't even to anything to distract himself.
Casper flinched when he got pulled closer, probably unintentionally. Thatch's arms we're wrapped around him. His hands were nice actually. Masculine but not too masculine.
Well he never had slept next to anyone in this intimitate way. Of course she hugged his friends but cuddling wasn't really his thing or rather he wouldn't start it.
He leaned his head back against Thatch's chest. God why was the vampire so athleticly build? He was way too dickish to be that attractive and smart.
Casper shook his head. He knew this way of thinking and no. The last person he thought about that in this way was Mantha. He couldn't fall for someone. Not again. And not for Thatch.
Sigh. He should try to sleep. Probably better than thinking. He closed his eyes, trying to focus his thoughts on something else. Harder than thought but after what felt like forever he fell asleep.
Tomorrow he would be better.
