Chapter 4

Casper ended up not telling Thatch. Well he tryed but the vampire slept like a stone.

Well he did at least let go of him when the ghost woke up. Carefully he got out of bed and disapeared in the bathroom.

He brushed his teeth thinking about every explaination he could give Thatch for why they shared a bed. And on a scale from »I guess he'd believe that« to »he's gonna murder me« all of them were... not that great.

Meanwhile Thatch opened his eyes, sat up and streched. He yawned as he got up scratching his stomach. He shouldn't have slept in shirt and jeans.

He walked to the bathroom meeting Casper who blused nervously. "What?" The vampire hissed. The ghost paniced. "Nothing I- I wanted to wake you I tryed but you didn't wake up- I'm sorry." The ghost stuttered. Great that was the worst way to explain anything.

"God you're not only a pushover but your uptight as well." Thatch groaned before he started to brush his teeth. "Wait, you're not mad?" Casper gasped. "Leave." Thatch hissed, glaring at the ghost, who immediately left the bathroom.

Who could have known that Thatch wouldn't care? Casper sure didn't but better than getting hit in the face or yelled at.

A loud knock on the door broke the silence. The a loud groan of their Teacher follwed. "Breakfast."

Casper waited for Thatch to be finished with getting ready before they followed the coach.

They again sat opposite to each other. Thatch was eating cornflakes while Casper just drank some juice.

"Today's task will be to organize the libary. Getting rid of out dated books and putting the new ones in the shelvs." The teacher explained. The boys looked at each other and sighed.

Even if the libary wasn't as disgusting as the lockerrooms, it was still messy. Very messy. It would take the whole day to organize it. Especially if Thatch would again decide to just sit down.

The ghost swallowed the whole glass of juice in one go and then proceeded to wait for Thatch so they could start.

Even though the vampire decided to eat as slowly as possible to piss the other one off he finished after a while.

The libary was as dusty as Casper rememberded it to be. Books were spread out on the floor.

The ghost sighed before bowing down picking up some of the books. He wasn't sure how we should decide which of the books were supposed to be trown away.

Thatch wasn't big on helping, he hust sat own a chair playing with his phone again.

It took Casper a few minutes to just think about what to do first. He then decided to just sort the books in two categories »seems important enough« and »be gone«. He started to look trough the shelvs.

"God disgusting." Thatch muttered. The ghost turned around, looking at Thatch. "They're having a good time." The vampire muttered shaking his phone. Dummy and Slither did send him a picture of them in a forest. "They're just sending pictures of them. How about asking how my day is. I'm stuck at this shitty place." He hissed at the phone.

A sigh. Casper then realized that his friends didn't message him at all. He checked his phone. Nothing. Okay calm down. It's probably Just a- "Couples are so fucking annoying." The vampire groaned. "Don't you agree?"

He flinched. "I mean that's a very generalizeing thing to say." The ghost coughed. Thatch smirked and got up. "Oh come on I see how tried you are. I see how annoyed and jealous you are. The looks you give them." He laughed and leaned against the shelv next to Casper, who shook his head.

Thatch scanned the ghost. "It's how it's supposed to be." Casper mutteres, playing with one of the books leather.  "Yeah of course it is, but that doesn't give them the right to ignore us. I mean they don't know how we feel."

The light blue eyes met with the deep purple ones. "It's just a phase." He muttered. "Could be yeah, or it'll stay like that." Thatch answered looking at his fingernails. If Casper had skin he'd probably get goosebumps. He sure was happy for them but he felt left out. Like the third wheel.

"I mean how are they supposed to know how we feel?" Casper asked. Thatch thought about that for a second. The ghost had a point. They needed to feel like they felt. But how? Something that catches them off guard...

His thought process got interruped by an "ah fuck." Out of Casper's mouth who was trying to catch a book which bad fallen out of his hands.

It was like an immaginary lightbulp had switched on. "We'll show 'em."

"Show them what?" Casper asked lifting the book from the floor. "We'll show them how we feel by beeing annoying." Thatch explained  excited. The ghost looked at him in massive confusion.

The taller one groaned annoyed. "We'll pretend to be a couple and annoy the shit out of them." Casper snickered. "Yeah sure... you're serious aren't you? Well no. That's stupid." He muttered and proceeded to put the books back into the shelvs.

He flinched when Thatch grabbed his wrist. "Dude think about it. Our situation is sucky but in addition to that we can't talk to them about it, because they wouldn't listen. I mean chances are they'll think it's funny." Casper just answererd: "You're crazy."

Thatch grided his teeth. "Okay listen man this like the best way to do it with actually changing something. We'll both end up like losers if they keep getting away with that. If you're not doing it for you do it for me! You owe me something. I saved you from that Sandwich yesterday." He insisted.

"You hit me with the broomstick." Casper muttered and pulled his wrist out of Thatch's grip. "Sometimes you just have to get to terms with what's happening. Somethings won't change even if we try. And trying it like that won't make anything better." He explained before grabbing new books from the ground.

The vampire cleched his fists. He growled, pushed Casper aside and left the room. The ghost sighed and continued to work.

Silence. Casper shook his head he would think about Thatch's idea. It was a stupid one. He would just talk to them. Even better he would tell them right now.

He grabed his phone. Should he call? No they probably were to busy to accept the call right now.
He started typing:

Me: »Hey Guys I've been thinking...«

No delete that.

Me: »Yo 'sup guys there is Something on my mind right now«

Urgh no uhm maybe

Me: »Whatddup?! How's it going? Listen I've this feeling«

Okay No. This wasn't working. In the end he'd just offend them. He flinched. His phone was vibrating.
A videocall from Mantha.

"Yoo casp!" It was difficult to hear her trough all the screaming in the background. "Hey. How's it going?" Casper asked while putting the phone next to him. "We're fine it's amazing here!" She giggled.

Now was his chance. "Hey uhm can we-" he was interruped. "Oh my god is that Casper?" Ra yelled. "Hey Ra.", the greeted nervously. "It's great that you're both here because I wanted to ad-" He was interruped yet again. They were talking to someone off screen. "I'm sorry Casp the others gonna play beerpong. I'll call you back. I promise." Mantha promised. Casper then noticed the shakey voice. Of course she was drunk. They all were.

He just smiled. "Get 'em guys." "Bye we love youu." Ra yelled. "So much." Mantha added while spreading her Hands. "Me to guys See ya." He muttered before the call ended.

Silence again. He froze for a minute. He knew she wouldn't call back and he knew he wouldn't have the courage to tell them.

It was 10pm when Casper opened the door to their doormroom. Thatch sat in his bed. Still sulking probably.

"Thatch." The vampire turned around raising a brow.
"Let's do it."
