I, Alexa Rose, am different. I mean isn't that obvious. Each and everyone one of us is different and that's what makes us all interesting. Anyways to sum up who I am, I have carefully prepared a list of things that you should probably know about.

1. My name, Alexa, has gotten random strangers to say, "Hey Alexa, can you turn on the lights?" If you don't understand, Alexa is also a virtual assistant that is installed in houses so people think it's funny to ask me to control their lights and other appliances. It can get a little annoying sometimes but it's a conversation starter. Although I love my name I like going by Lexy, that way people don't ask me to control their lights.

2. I am currently 20. You may ask, what is so interesting about that? Good question. 20 is great because of several reasons, e.g. I have lived two decades on Earth and I believe that is something I should be proud of, I am not a teen anymore and my teen years were ugly so this reason is very valid, I am running out of reasons but just trust me when I say it is pretty great being 20 and not so great at other times!

3. This one may or may not take you by surprise but I am a teacher. I know you might be thinking of that horrendous monster that picks on you to answer a question even if you haven't raised your hand or the one that gives you a shit ton of homework which is obviously due the next fucking day but no, I am not the teacher that students despise because I teach second-graders. I think I am pretty good at it too because their clumsy behavior is something that I can relate to on a spiritual level. In short, second-graders are my spiritual animal.

4. I am also very good at making a fool of myself especially when drunk.

5. I guess I'm a little weird, but aren't we all?

6. I like daydreaming a lot because everything in my head is so much better. For instance, the time I wanted to ask my crush out for prom. From buying a box of chocolates, a bouquet of roses and a card saying, 'Will you go to prom with me?' I planned out everything. Guess what happened? I turned up at an old lady's house because Mr. Crush decided to move houses. I had to explain to her that it was all for her but I had bought the wrong card and that the actual card was supposed to say, 'Welcome to our neighborhood'. See what I mean? That plan went so well in my head but in reality I went for prom dateless.

7. I have self care Sundays. So pretty much every Sunday, I have a self care day in which I take a long bath with bath bombs, maybe get a manicure and pedicure, do some exercises, get iced coffee and just have the time of my life after a tiresome week with second-graders.

I think it's around this time that I should introduce my best and only friend, Emma. We are practically made for each other because without her I don't think I can stay sane.

I love her to death and that is partially because she joins in on my weirdness. An example that I could give to prove that, will be the day we ordered pizza for our self care Sunday (referring back to point number 7) and when the delivery guy came he looked like he had a long day. So what did we do? Called him inside the house, we were not thinking straight because if we were then we would have thought of the many possible ways in which that would be dangerous, examples include, he could have been a rapist, a drunkard, a drug addict, a murderer, a kidnapper and so on but thankfully God was on our side because we had the pizza together, and we didn't get killed, and we had some non-alcoholic drinks cause 1. Emma and I are under age 2. We didn't want the pizza guy to drink and drive. We also watched a movie with him then he finally decided to go back home or wherever he wanted to. See what I'm talking about? We are weirdly nice people and I love us.

If you feel like you still don't know me that well then let me tell you one thing, you will, by the end. To the point where if you see me at the grocery store on a fine Sunday afternoon sipping on my iced coffee, you will leap into the air and fall right next to me saying, "Self care Sunday, amirite?" and you will be absolutely right!
