We're currently at my house and I am contemplating my life decisions.

"I don't know what to think," I say in confusion. I am regretting saying yes to Noah.

Emma calms me, "Hey, you need money, remember? This is a God sent opportunity and you've already agreed."

The thing is, I only agreed because I felt bad for him. Now that I think of it, it wasn't such a good idea. "Emm-"

"Lex, what's the worst that could happen?"

"I could get raped if he is a rapist, I could be kidnapped if he is a kidnapper, I could die-"

"If he was a murderer. My point is, he seems genuine."

"Yeah, genuine yet faking a whole marriage."

"Is it that big of a deal? What if you two work out?"

"What do you mean 'work out'? "

"You know."

"I don't."

"You'll fall in love and do all the sinful deeds." At that, I push Emma off the couch. No way! I could never let that happen. She laughs as she gets up and dusts herself off. "He looks cute."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"I don't know. I was just pointing out a fact. Can you call him? "

"Now?"

"Yes." I guess she has a point. Maybe we'll get to know who really is. Maybe.

As though he was waiting for this call, he picks up on the first ring. "Hey, Lexy!" When did he start calling me by my nickname?

"Um, Alexa."

"Oh yeah, Alexa, why did you call?"

"I don't know." Oh no! This is embarrassing.

"You wanted to hear my voice? I mean I do have one sexy voice." I could hear his chuckle from the other end.

Emma whispers, "I like him." and I cover the phone as I respond, "I don't."

"Hello?" I could hear Noah.

"Oh hello."

"So what was the exact reason you called?"

"Uh, how are you?"

"We saw each other five minutes ago but if you're so concerned about my well-being then I'm feeling very good thanks and you?"

I chuckle in embarrassment, "Great. Bye."

"I-" I cut the call before he could get another word out.

"That went well," Emma giggles.

"Yeah, it did," I laugh surprising myself. Noah is very obnoxious but I kind of like that about him. As a friend.

I'm late! "Emma, get up! I need to go to school!" I slept in once again. Emma is still rolling around on the couch as I furiously pack my bag and laptop. "Get up, idiot!" I shouted again but I know it's no use so I leave the house.

When I went to get a coffee, I was hoping to see Noah but it's not like I had time to talk with him anyways. On my way someone calls, I didn't have time to answer it and I'm pretty sure it's Emma saying that she has taken the house keys.

My class is already sitting down and getting ready for me to arrive.

"Good morning class. How are you?" I smile.

"Good morning Ms. Alexa. We are fine and you?" They chorus as I answer, "Good, thanks."

I gave the class some work to do and got on my phone to call Emma that's when I see a missed call from an unknown number. I call back, "Hello?"

"Hey Lexy, Noah here!" Oh it's him. I didn't even save his number, typical me.

"Oh yeah. Why did you call me?"

"I was just checking up on my future wife."

"I'm good." I say in a monotone.

"Don't sound too good, do you?"

"I am good."

"OK then wait."

"Wait for what?"

There's no reply to that so I switch off my phone and get back to my class.

Currently it is lunch break, I am munching away on my sandwich when Noah walks in out of nowhere.

"Here's your coffee," Noah bows down as he hands me an iced coffee.

"What are you doing here?" I question.

"Making your day better," with a wink, Noah sits on one of the student's desks.

"OK?" I mumble.

"Do you mind if I propose on Friday at the park?" Thinking about this, it sounded fine so I agree.

The bell rings soon afterwards and Noah leaves.

"Get in the car, loser," I shout. The afternoon went pretty well and now I'm picking up Emma to go get dinner.

"Lexxxxxx," Emma extends my name.

"What?"

"I hooked up with someone," She blurts.

"Wait, who? When? Where? Why? How?" I ask concerned.

"Who? I don't know. I think his name was Josh. When? A few hours back. Where? At the club I work at. Why? Because life has been pretty boring so I thought I'd spice it up a little. How? You know how sex works," She looks timid something unlike her. I could see her ears turning pink and that only happens when she's embarrassed.

"Why are you blushing?" I laugh.

"I regret it," Emma sighs.

"Typical Emma. Don't worry, girl let's go get dinner because I have to tell you what happened at lunch today," I reassured and squeezed her hand.
